I might be a little late, but maybe you have to take this as advise. I am red-stone-pasting my whole world on a server, also my client has the mod active, i do not switch mods inside the world i am building but, i noticed the other day that every redstone paste will not stay where i put it. I made long tunnels with day-and-night lighting and then all of a sudden a few days later the lights are on, but the paste is gone. I hope this is a bug, because now i am running through my world to see if my creations are still functional, and it is expanding rapidly. I use the 1.8.7 server and client with forge, also the latest.
If you want to look at it, send me a pm and i'll give you access to my server, hope that makes things clear.
So? is that all a wise man can give? I meant that when the last update was three weeks ago is pretty up-2-date (forge-1.8-11.14.3.1450-universal). But what are you really trying to say? that i'm not allowed to give a reaction? or is it you wiseguy know the numbers maybe a little better? Is it not me who distribute the updates on both game and Forge mod? Oooh, yes ofcourse, i am only a humble user who tries to have fun with this game, and for me it is unexplained how the redstonepaste disappears along with repeaters... But BIOMANMU, that isn't really an answer that adds info to my question.... It only shifts the conversation off topic. Please add something so i can check if I am doing something wrong or that the mod has a bug.... Thanks...
Ps... it is still 1.8, both MC and Forge...not 1.7 or lower.....
Tip: A little tip with the vertical slab mode, after placeing paste on the side of a block to get a raised slab, remove the original block, the paste will pop off, then on the paste side of the vertical slab you can place any other slab vertically, think brick half + wooden half as 1 block.
Caveats: The paste side slab can be walked into however if bounded by other blocks this becomes too narrow a gap to walk in, the 2 halves count as a single block for demolition - but it will not pass redstone current, additionally the vertical slabs will disengage torches if redstone current passes under the slab - more of an undocumented feature than a bug however as this is a good way to used them for hidden redstone torch activated doors.
Bugs: The only real bug with the slabs is their inability to pick up the surrounding blocks light levels in 1.8, using slabs to cover the circuitry on for example a stone floor - you get an even floor except for light and dark slabs where the redstone paste slabs are.
Note: Redstone paste covers (cover slabs) will only give you paste when duplicated or destroyed.
How do I install this? All that downloads is a .jar-file. When I try to run it, nothing happens.
You have to put this mod in the mod folder, %user% etc... .MINECRAFT\MOD and then run minecraft. It should show when in main menu screen pressing on the MOD button, it should read the mod is installed, or used, just how you see it.
I had a big world in the making with a lot of redstonepaste in it, various constructions depended on redstonepaste, but the core purpose of redstonepaste and redstone is different. Try to make some of the logic gates with redstone parts and then try to make it with redstonepaste parts, you'll notice that some things don't work or work differently from original redstone parts.
I hope this bump will be taken care of.
This other thing happened when i made a very long bridge over an ocean, and made some pilars in the oceanfloor towering above the bridge, when i put a clock under the bridge and led made on the two high poles lights, it runned but when the timing was too short and sticky piston had a hard time, all of a sudden all redstone parts were invisible. Still figuring out if i did something wrong. Hope not.

I actually use a mix of the two redstone dust & paste, since dust transfers power to the block it's on and paste has to be pointed into the block itself to low power the block, like the paste can't turn off a redstone torch by being directed to the block it's attached to, however go from paste to a single redstone dust and you can, you keep all the manoeuvrability/invisibility of the paste (somewhat invisible when correctly covered by a slab) with the logic switching of the dust that way.
Since both paste and dust trigger on a 1 tick pulse you would need either a repeater to boost that to at least 2 ticks or more or continuous power (lever) for the piston, mind you I tend to use a 2 tick repeater fed from a lever anyway since it prevents rapid lever toggling from sending a 1 tick pulse and messing up my sticky pistons.
And don't worry I also had problems when switching to use both from the redstone dust, paste can get power from a powered block but it has to point at the source block rather than go over the surface, the advantage to the paste being low powered is you can get 4 redstone paste lines up a single column all able to work independently, I say low powered as they can still light redstone lamps they pass over, and you can trigger pistons by running the paste so it points at the actual piston block, I also use this feature to trigger multiple stacked pistons off 1 source without the need for all the redstone torches and dust logic circuits needed to move redstone power up, down, sideways, etc.
To sum up it takes practice, and if you see this as complimentary to rather than a replacement of redstone dust, you'll like it more.

Well, by now i hope you figured it out, and when not, put the jar file in your MOD folder, that should be recognized by MC (With or without Forge, can't tell, maybe creator has some explaining)
Hmm, running into a problem here -- a sticky repeater on the wall is not powering the block it's pointing to. The below is supposed to be disabling this clock by powering the block.
I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
I had sended a personal message to the maker of this mod, if you put sticky repeater against a block with redstone torch and power the repeater, normally the redstone torch should go out, it won't with the sticky version. I got no reply anyhow.... I guess he is either not interested, or away from life or something... Maybe someone else would like to give him a call and tell that people asking for feedback... I guess also that if you make something, take action on it when problems occur. (hope this triggers something... and i hope not bad....)
I think I saw differently colored pastes in one screenshot (orange and green/default). This is perfect for color-coded circuits that don't interact with different colors, to prevent accidental breaking of complex wiring.

You can set the two colours used in the config, as for symultanious multicolours that's a suggestion for the mod maker.

Minecraft server runs on Windows 2012 server.
Forge isn't out for 1.8.7 only 1.8

I wish this would be in the next 1.9 update. Maybe the 2.0 update? Wow what is the maximin version is minecraft gonna get to?
so far.. I haven't seen one comment saying they can't download it but without a reason you can't. Must be easy to download and barely any crashes!

Re-reading through the topic, some were wondering about the vertical or horisontal slabs, they have an additional bonus effect too...

I know that redstonepaste is working on Forge, but does anyone knows if it runs or is available for Spigot?

No, green is unpowered while orange is powered.
Not until Forge updates its base to 1.8.1.

Jolicraft Support For Redstone Paste
I've finished adding support for Redstone Paste in Jolicraft's style. You can find the release here if you're like me and love the old Jolicraft.
