Not sure if you're interested in this, but have you thought of making a crafting simplifier system for your modular storage system? I've had this idea for a while, basically it's a recursive crafting system: it breaks down items into a sort of 'essence' of simplest form and calculates crafting recipes around them.
For instance, a log is 8 wood essence (might actually be bigger, but this is just an example). Say you want to craft ladders, 7 wood essence is used and you get 3 ladders... thus 2 steps are skipped (logs-->planks and planks-->sticks), the extra essence is returned into your inventory as the smallest unit (in this case, a stick). Crafting pistons would simply require having logs, redstone blocks, stone/cobblestone, and iron blocks.
This would be useful for tedious recipes... be it something like sticky pistons, mod recipes, or anything that uses non-stackable tools. It would also make it so the most compact version of a block could always be used without needing to de-craft it for crafting uses (and with that you could have a compactor module).
NEI/JEI could give the essence values on how to craft a given item (or possibly a custom search+choose recipe and then you type the desired number...), this would give you a checklist on things to collect to make a given thing. Needed machines (like furnaces, crushers, or any mod machines etc.) could be contained/connected to your multiblock structure and it would either use it directly or simulate the usage (for instance, with RF it would use the power a step would use immediately).
It's also possible (especially in the future with complicated mod recipes) that the essence of a crafted item like a piston could be used directly in a simplified recipe, even if they don't use pistons (maybe they also use wood+iron+redstone), so you should be able to prefer base-essence (like logs before planks/sticks) or even disable/blacklist complicated/specific items from being reused. Or simply have a preview function where the target items are shown and you can try another source before confirming the crafting operation.
EDIT: Another idea I've had is a 'player hopper', whenever you walk under/over/next to it (possibly needing a redstone signal) it will take items out of your inventory (whitelist/blacklist and all of that). Would be useful for inserting items into a storage system (especially randomly collected mob drops that clutter your inventory).

Hi, is there any documentation about the default block modifier? A table list of block, maybe something like big reactor table?
By the way, by default iron and gold ore are not registered in in crusher recipe. So I manually edit the config and add 'em.
Now the problem I can't smelt the dust into ingot, and theres no way to add 'em in the config.
I rad the previous thread, that it need other mod like thermal expansion/(any ore processing mod) so that smelting dust will be available.. Is it true?.. (sorry, English is not my main language, and the conversation kinda vague).

I think your mod conflicted with one of my mods... Every time I would try to place down a storage upgrade, the screen would turn entirely blue for a second before just crashing.

Not sure if your still monitoring this post, but I wanted a report a crash. When I updated an existing world, MS crashed. I made a test world and got the same crash:

Like a prior poster, I cannot get a modular generator to create anything other than 1RF/T. Is there something I am missing?

I think your mod conflicted with one of my mods... Every time I would try to place down a storage upgrade, the screen would turn entirely blue for a second before just crashing.
I'm really not sure what happened... And I'm bad at reading code and crash reports...

Curse PremiumLooks like CodeChicken doesn't like Modular Systems. You might have to chose between the two to fix this.

I remember this mod from some time ago, I think it was 1.6.4 or .1.7.10 and it was fun to play with. Keep up the good work
