Another coder has been maintaining the mod while I take care of some IRL stuff and it looks like you're using one of his builds with some new hammer code, so I'm not sure what's causing that. I'll talk to him and try to get it fixed asap.
Ah, that would explain the person who wasn't you asking me for more details on IRC, unfortunately I was asleep at the time
Love the mod!Its great, quick suggestion. Waiting for silk worms is such a pain couldnt you make it to where the fully infested leaves in the area decrease the amount of time it takes to infest a leaf?
I know why this is happening. The problem is that if I (or rather, the dev that is working on the mod for now) fix it, then it will break compatibility with the current stable version of Forestry. I'm not currently willing or able two support to branches just to enable compatibility for Forsestry's dev version that is labeled unstable. When the Forestry devs mark the new version as stable, then we'll update our compatibility to match theirs.
Also is there anyway in the future that the infested leaves, once they are fully infested turn back into blocks and not TileEntities? The server load is takes to keep those running, especially if someone forgets they left up a farm, is enormous and I have to go in and take care of it.

I'm currently in the planning stages for Ex Nihilo 2, and this is one of the many changes that I want to make.

How will conversion go, as far as worlds that are already using the current version? My team doesn't want to have to go through the same process of 1.6.4 > 1.7.10 again, haha. Nearly every mod missing those Forge hooks was brutal.
Honestly, it's going to be rough. Ex Nihilo 2 is going to be built in Minecraft 1.8, which has an entirely new model rendering system and quite a few other changes under the hood.
Let's assume though that 1.8 was going to be a piece of cake, it would STILL be rough for your server because I'm taking advantage of the opportunity to correct some really old mistakes in the mod's architecture and rebuild some systems from scratch.
This is a conflict with GregTech, it doesn't happen with IC2. Gregorius blames me, but I don't have the foggiest idea why it happens.
Ex Nihilo + IC2 = works fine.
Ex Nihilo + IC2 + GT= crash and die.
Go into the Ex Nihilo config file and disable the macerator recipe overrides and the game will work just fine. You just won't have the stone->gravel or gravel->sand recipes.
They did. They left a post in the thread. It's because the OP linked directly to my kickstarter.
I'm pretty sure that we can DISCUSS the kickstarter and my ideas for Ex Nihilo 2 on the subreddit, we just can't link to the actual page. If no one else starts up the conversation again, I'll probably do it myself tonight. Thanks for the heads up though!
Creating a mod takes a lot of time. During that time, you still need to pay the bills. You could work a job, but that would take time away from modding. Therefore, to do modding instead of your job, you need to raise enough money to pay what your job would pay for that same time.
The median job in the US is apparently $40k/yr. Assuming Erasmus is asking for a median salary, $10k would buy about 3 months of time for modding and still pay the bills.
At a median salary, a month of time is worth about $3,333.
At the poverty line, a month of time is worth about $1,000.
If Erasmus was willing to live at the poverty line, then $10k could stretch to about 10 months. But who in their right mind would ask for that?
I'm sorry if I've somehow offended you. That was never my intention.
Unfortunately, I've never been exposed to your 'doujin culture' before and I still don't completely understand why some there are some 'good' ways to pay for work and some 'bad' ways. It has been interesting trying to understand your point of view though.
All I'm doing is holding out a hat and people are dropping money into it. I don't know why that makes you so aggressive.

No drops string from infected leaves. Ver mod Ex-Nihilo-1.38-20.jar
Bug?
If try Ex-Nihilo-1.37, strings drop from leaves.
it would be great if this could be fixed

Long story short... It's going to suck.
Insaneau might implement that fix in the older branch if you bring it to his attention here.

I just launched the worlds first Kickstarter for a Minecraft mod.
Please help me spread the news guys!

good mod, but there is no ex aliquo version for MC 1.7.10
I think the FTB mods removed the reddit post that was posted on your behalf. I hope you have other ways to get the word out. =)
Also, you may be interested in following the sidekick predictions.

Could you explain why you need 10k to make a mod?
