I am getting a crash every time I shift click the backpack into the world then it makes it so every time I open my world it instantly crashes so I have to restore an old backup.

Awesome that fixed it thank you. Is there a way to Empty the pack into a chest like shift clicking the bag on the chest or something?
No, the 'Auto-Collect from Inventory or Chest' key can be used to load items from chests but there is no shortcut for emptying a backpack.
Pipes/hoppers can be used to pipe items from a placed backpack into a chest but that (usually) takes some time, you can however duplicate your placed backpack so you can have a copy with you while items are continuously piped out of the original.
Is there a way to reverse the resize because I lost a lot of my items!
The only item that gets removed when you resize a backpack is the backpack pouch, so unless a catastrophic error occurred you shouldn't have lost any other items.
If you've made your backpack smaller using a backpack resizer (or by using a backpack pouch on a world that had misconfigured backpack upgrade levels or had been configured to include backpack 'downgrade' levels) the items will still be stored inside the backpack but won't be accessible until the backpack is made bigger. You can make a backpack bigger by using the creative-mode backpack resizer item or by using a backpack pouch (provided your config includes another backpack upgrade level).
You could also try using a backpack restorer, but if that doesn't work something unexpected must've happened and your items will be lost.
Running 3.5.4 of this mod on 1.7.10, and its working like a charm, with only one exception.
For some reason, When my friend uses a backpack restorer he can access the backpacks I lost as well. It seems like it could be pretty exploitable making the jump to a larger server.
Is this a bug fixed in the last few updates? If not, is there any other option than to disable the restorers?

Sounds like your friend is 'opped'.
Opped players have full access to all backpacks for moderation purposes.
They can choose to turn this off by opening up their permission menu with "/backpack permissions" and turning off the 'Moderator' option.
The 'Moderator' option is enabled by default for opped players, but since this causes their backpack restorers to show everybody's backpacks it will make it harder for them to find and restore their own backpacks, so I might change this to make it off by default.
If a player is opped they can usually do more damage than stealing somebody's backpack, but if you think this might be a problem I could also add a config option to disable the moderation feature entirely.
I tried deopping yesterday for tests sake and the list remained unchanged, but we didnt try losing any backpacks after that, so I guess the ones from the op status were already saved on their player’s list or something. Controlling it with commands is totally fine by me. If any other issues arise, I’ll get back to you.

Retrieving the list of opped players was causing performance slowdowns for MC 1.7.10, so it was updated to cache whether a player was opped or not. Restarting the server after deopping would've cleared the cache and updated the list of restorable backpacks.
If you press the key used to autocollect items while the chat menu is open, it will still perform auto-collect. I don't think that's supposed to happen.... I nearly thought several rings by a player were glitched away, but noticed this only happened after a chat message. Then I finally narrowed it down to a single letter, and discovered the rings in a bag.
I use this mod in MC 1.7.2; It works perfect on Solo. But on my server when creating a backpack it just reappears when taken from the table (the materials are kept). Also I can't open the backpack, it just disappears ..
This happens to me with several backpacks mods.[/pre]

Sounds like the mod hasn't been installed on your server, make sure the mod is in the mods folder of your server (and make sure you're using a forge server rather than a vanilla server).
If you're hosting the server yourself your server folder should have a 'minecraft_server.1.7.2.jar' and a 'forge-1.7.2...jar', you need to run the one that starts with 'forge-1.7.2'.
If the server folder doesn't have a 'forge-1.7.2...jar' you won't have a forge server but you can install one by running the forge installer and choosing the 'Install server' option.
If your server is hosted by somebody else you'd need to ask them if its a forge server and if so, how to install mods on it.
A Backpack was upgraded after having been used as an unupgraded backpack inside a quantum backpack. It was then put back into the quantum chest and accessed from the quantum backpack, and... the bag appears to be out of sync with the server. I'm going to try restarting the client and see if that fixes things, but simply disconnecting from the server and reconnecting does not seem to fix anything.
Backpacks Version: 1.12.2-3.5.7
Edit: Restarting the client did not change anything. Breaking and replacing the Quantum Chest itself fixed the issue. So something about the Quantum Chest itself is not correctly syncing with the bag inside when a smaller bag was placed inside previously.
Okay, thx
backpack doesn't equip in either chestplate or bauble slot

Should be fixed in 3.5.6, let me know if it doesn't work.

Ah cool ill chuck down a speed buffed rs importer and place it on that should do the job thanks.

My server has a "V". Is that? (Vanilla Server)
Not sure.

You can open a backpack when its not even in your inventory when it is set to only able to have one backpack
