I lost power while playing and my PC turned off. When I logged back in to my world all my backpacks are there but they are empty and not upgraded (3 rows). The Names and colors are still what they were. Is there a way to get back all the stuff that was in them? I tried placing them on a wall but it did not affect them. All other inventory (chests, held stuff, equipped items) is unchanged. Only the items in the backpacks were lost.
Version is MC v1.12.2, Forge 14.23.4.2725, Backpacks 3.5.2
Side note, even though I am freaking out at the moment over the days worth of stuff that just disappeared, I love this mod and appreciate you making it. Thanks.
The file that stores the backpacks contents and sizes has unfortunately become corrupted by the power cut. Usually when this file gets corrupted it will load from the backup file, but in this cause it would seem Minecraft considered the corrupted file to be 'valid' so the backup was not loaded (and would've been overwritten with the bad data when the world was next saved).
If you have a backup of the world you should be able to restore the backpack data by restoring the BCMod-Items.dat file from the data folder, otherwise there isn't much you can do.
Hello! I love your mod very much, but I may be having some trouble going on with the mod. Whenever I am in survival mode, every time I try to throw items away they just come back. It auto-collects and never lets me throw stuff away, it's impossible to get rid of them. The reason I said I may be having trouble with your mod is because I'm not sure if this is caused by your mod, because I have almost 40 mods. I recently switched from 1.11.2 where everything was working just fine and started gaming in 1.12.2 and now I'm facing this problem. It's very annoying. I realized that your mod could be the cause of this problem because when I go to the Control Settings in Minecraft there is a section for the Backpack mod (image attached) and there are 3 settings that maybe have something to do with this auto-collect thing and I just can't seem to turn it off. If this problem has anything to do with your mod I would appreciate your help. Again, I love this mod very much, it's useful and very well done. Thank you so much in advance.

The auto-collect for this mod puts the collected items into backpacks, so it shouldn't have anything to do with the problem you are experiencing.
You could try temporarily removing the mod to see if it fixes the problem, just be sure to test on a new world (and/or create a backup of your existing saves) to avoid losing your modded items.
II've got an issue, I'm trying to configure the auto-collect filters, but for some reasons, I can't access it, the key I configured does nothing, the only key that seems to work is the open backpack, I'm playing Foolcraft 3 with your mod added on it. I've never ever had this issue before and I don't see any error in log or anything its like the key doesn't work, using recommended forge (ends with 2705) and backpacks 3.5.2
Edit : Never mind, I'm an idiot, didn't remember to open the backpack before using the key...
Could you please make the quantum chest drop the original backpack when broken? It's too easy to accidentally lose all your stuff. Other than that, the mod is fantastic!

Will do, it will be in the next release.
In the meantime (if you haven't already) you can get your lost backpacks back by using backpack restorers.
I can't provide you with one, the owner of the pack just told me to contact you myself and linked me here and I'm just someone who plays on the server. His name is Kreezxil#2726 on Discord if you can find him. If you google World of Dragons pack you can also find the discord there, am I allowed to link it here?

I can't think of any reason my mod would do anything when you type '/home' so I'll need to see a crashlog. Could you ask whoever hosts the server to post the crashlog (or send it to you, for you to post)?
Or can you reproduce the problem in single player and post that crashlog?

I'm the owner of the mod. And there is no implication of your mod causing the crash. All of the server crashes for 7/23/2018 don't implicate you one bit. There is something nefarious going on, but sadly not one mod is being fingered by the crash reports. But my players seem to think it happens involving the backpack. Could it be that I use the latest forge b2739? However, no, I will not roll back to a prior version as half my mods would break.

The crash seems to occur when a player respawns (or changes dimension) while the EntityTracker is 'ticking'.
It may be related to the change made for forge 2725 (Fix player movement status not syncing across dimension change
(MC-10657) (#4974)), either way, EntityTracker doesn't seem to be thread-safe so unless the mod that added '/home' is teleporting from the wrong thread you should report the crash to Forge.

Loving the mod so far, thank you very much for making it!
One question, sorry if this has been asked before: Could you allow for the backpacks to go into a bauble slot(so, bauble integration) so we could actually wear it on our back?
Again, thank you very much for this mod. Keep it up!

One of the main features of this mod is being able to open backpacks by right-clicking them from the inventory, bauble slots aren't part of the inventory so putting a backpack in a bauble slot is going to make it harder to open, and I'd rather not spend time adding and supporting a mod integration to add an extra inventory slot that makes the backpack harder to open.
It's not the same as a bauble slot, but if you enable backpack commands in the config you can use "/backpack bind" while holding a backpack to remove it from your inventory and 'bind' it to your player, but I don't recommend doing so because the only way to open it is to use the 'Open Backpack' keybinding or use "/backpack open". The bound backpack can be unbound using "/backpack unbind" and shown/hidden on your back using "/backpack equip" or "/backpack unequip".
I've got an idea or perhaps a new function for your backpacks, a way to void certain resources, lets say we don't want cobblestone anymore, we could add it as a filter in your filter thing and so it would auto collect the cobblestone but void it automatically so you don't end up with a full load of cobblestone in your inventory or backpack. I use the danknull mod for it or the devnull from openblocks for this, but it uses a slot of my inventory and would love to not have to waste a slot just for this.
Is it possible for your backpacks mod to support "StackUp!"? If I put 64+ sized stacks into one of your backpacks, it sometimes randomly disappear as if being deleted. Supporting StackUp would make your awesome mod even more awesome.
I also added a 'Disable NEI compatibility' option, so if the fix doesn't work try setting that option to true, and if that still doesn't work post the new crash log as it will likely be crashing from a different location.

Hello friend! On the World of Dragons 1.12.2 modpack it crashes the entire server if I do /home when a backpack is in my inventory.
I'll need to see a crashlog.

Hello, I am having a crashing issue using this mod for 1.7.10 and security craft.

This version may fix the problem.
I also added a 'Disable NEI compatibility' option, so if the fix doesn't work try setting that option to true, and if that still doesn't work post the new crash log as it will likely be crashing from a different location.
I installed the new version and crashed and then changed the NEI compatibility and still crashed, this is after the NEI compatibility change

The previous crash was caused by my mod, but that crash was not, it involved FastCraft and Tinkers' Construct.
