I'm not able to transfer any armours or weapons through pipes to the backpack altought I can take them from the backpack to a chest through pipes, tried mekanism pipes, ender io conduits and applied energistics export bus, none of them are able to insert just armours or weapons, but i can insert anything else this is a intended feature or is a bug? I'm trying all the configs but none works.
The backpack is configured to accept armors and weapons, right? In order for a backpack to release items from it, those items need to be on the restock list. It may be that it will also only auto accept items from smart pipes if they are on the collection list.
Edit: In fact, your collection list says "DON'T collect from this list" which is empty, so that indeed looks like a bug.
I have a problem, I installed StackUp! and expanded stack limits to 1k (1000), I made a quantum backpack and after collecting and opening it I noticed some of the items that should be around 2 or 3 stacks of 1k in it (like cobblestone) were absent, in fact I tried moving more stacks into it and they just disappeared, I reloaded my world and still nothing, not sure if it was a compatibility issue.

StackUp does seem to break quantum backpacks, but I have no idea why and I couldn't get StackUp to run in my development environment so I wasn't able to investigate any further.
The regular backpacks appeared to work fine, so a workaround might be avoid using quantum chests and just duplicate your backpack(s) using ender eyes instead.

UPDATE: I tried the same with a clean unupgraded backpack and the saame problem keeps happening, not sure what could it be anymore :/
If I might point out something once more... I can't help but notice the Quantum Backpacks require an axe to break instead of a pickaxe despite using obsidian in their recipe. I dunno seems silly to me.

In the next version pickaxes will be effective at mining quantum chests but they will still drop if you use the wrong tool, they will also take slightly longer to mine.
hello.i am playing in my server and i maked quantum chest and quantum backpack.when i am trying to open quantum backpack minecraft says ''the quantum backpack can't be opened bc its quantum chest is empty.what di i did wrong.
The Quantum Chest needs a backpack inside it. That is what you access when you try to use a Quantum Backpack, not the chest itself. It sounds like you put the backpack in, took a quantum backpack of it, then removed the backpack.

I got so excited to craft the base backpack, I was utterly let down when I actually got it. With all the default config settings, the base backpack is seriously more expensive with leather and string than the medium or large. What gives? The medium and large allow regular leather and one frame per piece, while the small backpack only offered the tanned leather option, which requires 2 leather and 7 string EACH!
I'm not angry or upset, more bemused, lol. Just wondering what the logic was making the base backpack so resource intensive, when the bigger ones cost far less, and they don't require a base backpack to make them. Or maybe it's a weird mod interaction, not sure, I am using it in a modpack for 1.12.2. Anyone else noticed this?
"base" backpack? The backpack is upgraded in Brad's Backpacks; upper tier backpacks are not crafted. Are you sure you're referring to the right backpack mod?
Edit: To be even more clear, Brad's Backpacks does not add a tanned leather crafting ingredient.

Hrm, let me check some versions and such. Okay, I think I've located the issue. There are "Backpacks" and "Backpacks!"
I'll leave the rant about poor naming choices aside. I believe I'm using the other one. I thought the exclamation point in this thread title denoted excitement, not the actual name of the mod. So nevermind, the mod is not broken, and I've never played this mod. Wrong, thread, lol! Apologies! Carry on! Nothing to see here!
That being said, given how the other one is going, I may switch. Thanks for the heads up!
How do i open the recipe changing menu? i am holding the backpack and press ctrl+L and and the fours menues open then ctrl+R but nothing happens. am i doing it wrong?
im in a singleplayer world trying to get to the recipe editer.
So I've noticed this happen a few more times and I'm going to try to replicate it. I used shift+place to put a backpack that has multiple nested backpacks inside it, and when I open the bag, everything that was contained in the main backpack has been shoved into collection slots, while the contents from the first nested backpack fill all the slots of the placed backpack. No items are lost, but their position is shuffled around in a rather nasty way forcing me to spend several minutes looking for things.
I don't know if this requires the use of nested quantum backpacks inside a regular backpack to trigger or not, but this was a regular backpack with nested quantum backpacks inside. And inside that quantum backpack was also a regular backpack.

A placed backpack will collect items that are resupplied by any of its nested backpacks and nested backpacks will collect items that the placed backpack resupplies.
This was done to allow placed backpacks to pipe items into and out of nested backpacks.
If this is what's happening you should be able to stop it by configuring the main backpack to not resupply items and configuring the nested backpacks to not resupply any items that the main backpack collects.
Okay, so I reconfigure the backpack before placing it down, and I can revert my configurations once it is placed? I can remember to do that, it just seems like a bit of a workaround when I just want to set down my main pack for a bit, or anchor my pack and grab a quantum copy of it.

Here's a video about the problem:

EDIT:
FIXED connecting the pipes to a hopper and the hopper conected to the backpack

I've found the problem.
My ItemStack serialization code was based on the vanilla serialization code which has a limit of 255 items per stack.
This version should work with StackUp.
Excellent! You have saved my build's life, thank you!
Absolutely legendary mod development.

Totally cool with that.
