Making Hitbox changes with MPM has been asked many, many times and each time has been declined.
I'm afraid it's just not going to happen.

Have you tried with just MPM installed?
And insuring that you're using the proper version of MPM/Forge?

I can't see anything specifically referencing MPM here exactly, but that doesn't mean there isn't a conflict in rendering somewhere.

Why don’t you add hitbox changes?
I want to keep this mod aesthetic only. And for servers it not required for players to have the mod. That would be weird that some would have hitbox changes, while players without the mod wont see them. I might add it in the future if I can find a good way to implement it.

While yes, the F.A.Q does in-fact state "maybe" it would be added but it's incredibly unlikely. For the exact reason the answer gives.

Consider you play on a server without MPM installed but you encounter another player who does. How unfair of an advantage it would be if that other player were much smaller.

Personally the only way I feel this would be fair would be if this only effected an entire server who also had the mod installed, which for a Forge Server is required for all players to also have it installed. This isn't the case for a Bukkit/Spigot server and puts other players at a disadvantage. There's also players who play with larger scaled models, that's also a disadvantage.

The only solution here, would be to find a way to make the 'hit-box' in PvP scenario the same regardless of size but allow the 1x1 squeeze through blocks in the world. A "scaling scale" as it were. Which would not only be a pain in the **** to do, if it were possible, but also incredibly buggy and iffy at best.

Ultimately, altering the hit box of the player based on scale changes this from an aesthetic mod.
It goes against what this mod was intended as.

Regardless of what the F.A.Q says, this has been a question/request over the past several years. Even in Version 1 of MPM.
It is incredibly unlikely to change to the point that the hitbox will change within this mod.

I'm trying to add custom hair to my player model, though when I do, it fills in the rest of the hair-cube with solid black, even though that area is transparent (I double checked too, and the texture is saved as a png) any ideas for a fix?

For reference, this is what my skin looks like without the hair (though it has some hair textured directly to the body, but I'd like for it to be 3D and actually connected to the head)

Also, is there a way to change names client-sided, for the sake of roleplay? I know you can change your username for real, but I mean with a command or similar, again for RP.

If I recall, there is a way to change your display-name with MPM via command, but I do not remember what it is.

As far as your Skin-Texture problems, what program are you using to edit the skin? Not all Image editors are capable of transparency, despite the type of file you save as. A prime example of those being "Windows Paint" cannot save transparency, no matter how you save the image.

I'm using paint.NET for the textures, which does support true transparency, as I use it with other mods and it works perfectly with transparency. I checked with the eyedropper tool and the surrounding pixels were totally transparent.

The plugin has not been updated because it never broke.
It doesn't need updating.
