Definitely potions. I do hope it doesn't come over as an alcoholic expansion. . .we're only focusing on some normal beverages (non-alcoholic, to be sure), though the vast majority will encompass expanding upon potions and the brewing system.
Hey, everyone, I know it's been a little while since there's been any noticeable progress on this mod, but believe me, we've been working on it. How many of you can guess what this is?
Looking great Enos, I can't wait to see more progress on this.
Definitely one of my favourite WIP mods, bookmarked.
Thanks! LordBlackhole and I are working very hard on it! It means a lot that you can already call it one of your favorites without even seeing a release yet, thanks a ton for your interest!
After hours of just playing with Brewcraft, I've created an incredibly over-complicated and fully operational brewing station, complete with new compatibility between Brewcraft and Buildcraft + Forestry!
Change of plans! We've made more progress than expected, and y'all can expect a release later today! Keep tabs on this thread, and we'll post a release in a matter of hours!
In the mean time, have a teaser image! Finally, you'll all get to see the Brewery system in action! Is that a Thaumcraft 4 Zombie Brain, brewing a Potion of Weakness?
Alright, everyone, we've finally released Brewcraft! Get your own copy of version 1.0.0 from CurseForge!
Thanks to everyone who has supported this mod, and has continued to follow this up until release!
We both worked really hard on this, so I hope everyone likes it.
There are only a few new potions, most of the effort went into the Brewery and the workings of the potions, but now that we've got it figured out adding new potions should be fairly easy. If you have ideas for new potions, changes, tweaks, or anything, post them in this thread.

Well said.
Don't anyone worry, there will be more potions where these came from. We have lots of ideas for potions and the content range is nearly endless. Follow this post for updates and a boatload of new content!
Also, like Blackhole said, we will listen to anyone's suggestions for this mod, so if there's anything you'd like to see, don't hesitate to comment about it!
I've just added a comprehensive guide on how to use the Brewery! This will tell you nearly everything you need to know about using the Brewery!
You can find it in the original post, or, if you're too lazy to go all the way back there, here it is! Note that it is in progress; the PDF containing all of the Brewery recipes will be here shortly.
How to Use the Brewery
At first glance, the Brewery can seem like a complex and difficult-to-understand piece of machinery. However, don't be too intimidated. The Brewery is actually quite simple to use.
First, place a fluid's container item in the top leftmost slot in the Brewery. This can be anything from a vanilla potion or a water bottle to Brewcraft's Potion of Combustion. For the sake of this guide, I'll use a vanilla water bottle.
This will not do anything. The tank next to the slot will not be filled, nor will any sort of recipe begin. This occurs when you place a corresponding item in the central slot of the GUI. In this guide, I'll use Nether Wart. This is, as many of you have probably noticed by now, the vanilla brewing recipe for the Awkward Potion. We'll get to what this means in a moment. Back on topic, once, you put the ingredient (Nether Wart, in this case) in the slot, the Brewery begins working.
You'll notice the two progress bars, one on the side of the tank, one next to the item slot. The one next to the tank is the progress of the recipe - this will, once it depletes fully, fill the output tank with an identical amount of the output fluid.
The progress bar next to the item slot does something a bit more complicated - it displays the amount of the ingredient item that is yet to be consumed. A Brewery recipe will take take an entire item, but rather a fraction of it, leaving behind the other fraction of the item. This progress bar shows the amount of item left. Make sense? Good. On we go. Once the output fluid has reached >= 1000mb (one bucket's worth of fluid), you can place an empty glass bottle or splash potion bottle in the top rightmost slot of the GUI. This will fill the bottle with the output fluid.
Now, back to the fact that this recipe is identical to the vanilla Brewing Stand recipe. The same goes for any other vanilla brewing recipe. They can all be brewed through the Brewery, along with the added potions. A full list of recipes for the Brewery can be found in this PDF file. [coming soon]
Yes, of course. We're working on it as we speak, so stay tuned for a release!
Be sure to quote my post if you want a reply.

Oh, yes.
We're working very hard on this project, a full-on brewing overhaul now. Thanks for consistent interest in the project!

A Brewery system that draws from a nearby lake using Buildcraft, creating a Potion of Regeneration in a tank.

Thanks, I really appreciate your interest in the project! A release will be out sooner than later. Perhaps a couple weeks, if we're lucky.
