Until we get that fixed, you can just disable the BOP compatibility in the config to play without it.
Unfortunately it does not finish generating the config because of this error. If I remove BoP, the full config generates, but lacks the option to toggle BoP support. If you give me the exact format that line is supposed to have, I can add it in manually.

Of course. The line is supposed to look like this -
It also appears Brewcraft does not like SMP servers:

Agh! I've been trying to track down bugs like that for weeks! Is there any more to this crash log? I don't see any mention of our code anywhere, which makes it pretty hard to track down.

We've released patch 1.0.1! Feel free to grab a copy of it from the main post or from this conveniently located download widget:
Blackhole has done lots of work regarding the Brewery and rendering on the server side, allowing for Brewcraft to work on dedicated servers!
Also, I've managed to fix the Biomes o' Plenty compatibility error. The API should work perfectly now; Biomes o' Plenty will be loaded before Brewcraft at all times, ensuring the Biomes o' Plenty items will be loaded before Brewcraft checks for them.
Note: In the case that the error does resurface in some horrible way, the configuration option to disable Biomes o' Plenty compatibility is now generated before running the compatibility, therefore not crashing if you also have Biomes o' Plenty installed.
I tried enabling/disabling Biomes o Plenty compatibility, same result. Tried deleting configs, yet again, same result. Hell, the newly-generated config didn't even complete itself before crashing.

Yes, I'm very sorry about that.
Blackhole and I released the patch yesterday, fully expecting GitHub to work, as usual. However, it failed to save the changes we've made to the mod, meaning that 1.0.1 is pretty much exactly the same as 1.0.0. Ugh. I found that out a couple hours after the release, and there's not much I can do with the build scripts acting the way they are.
I'll see if we can release a version 1.0.2, and believe me, I'll make dang sure that it fixes your problem. The only delay to this is GitHub not working again. Once more, I apologize for the troubles, and we'll try our best to fix the problem as soon as we can. Thank you!

You would not believe how hard it is to manage 1.6 and 1.7 at the same time. Hence the crazy confusion.
I still don't understand why the BOP compat is broken, but I have added some error-checking code that should make sure that it should log an error instead of crash. Just uploaded now as 1.0.1a. Please let this be the end of it, I really want to focus on 1.7, where this issue won't even exist.

This will most likely solve your problem.
Yeah, um, I had the same error, that config edit didn't work, still the same error.
True. I did not include that it had to be inside the 'mod compatibility' section of the config file.
Terribly sorry about the issues the Biomes o' Plenty compatibility has caused everyone.
So, um, any idea how long the fix may take? Should I just expect to wait a few days?

In this case, the proof is here:
From that, you can see that RedGearCore has been Constructed, but Brewcraft has not, meaning the bug happened during Brewcraft's construction.

Oh ....... thank you, that helps a lot, I think I've found the problem.
Post a new version when you fix it, I really want to include BrewCraft in my WIP pack.

This error has to do with you using the wrong version of RedGear Core. It is required that you get the latest 2.0.4a from the CurseForge page.
This should fix it.
So I wouldn't be surprised if you got confused about it. ...... I also wouldn't be surprised if we somehow screwed it up again either.
No problem! You can thank Blackhole for that!
