Is creosote a lubricant? My research suggests it is a fuel.
It can be used as a weak fuel in the Boiler, but its main use is in crafting railbeds.
I would guess that it's meant as a wood treater.
It can also be used in Forestry as a replacement for Seed Oil.

It has been used as a lubricant before but due to it being able to be used as fuel and can ruin certain types of machinery its use in that way has been halted. I think for RC, Gearboxes should Consume Creosote Oil faster than Canola Oil. If used in Wooden Gearboxes it would just slow down damage instead of stopping it as well as have the chance to start fires. Unlike the Wooden Gearbox all the other Gearboxes would just start fires randomly as well but it would still halt damage unlike when its used in the Wooden Gearbox. If fire is started due to Creosote Oil being used it should also take a Chunk of creosote oil each time it creates a Fire since it would spread obviously but due to how fire works in Minecraft how it just stops at times I think it would be less... unusable if it stopped after taking a chunk of the Creosote Oil instead of all of it.

What about the ability to process oil (petroleum) into fuel (BC fuel) and mineral oil through some machine? Since mineral oil is a good lube, but is not produced in BC I would think it would be beneficial to be implemented for those that like to use BC oil with BC engines (or railcraft boilers) and gain a lubricant byproduct which exists in real life.
Reservoirs aren't removing an empty bucket and giving you a bucket of (whatever) properly. If you have a stack of buckets one right click fills all of them while pulling one bucket's worth out of the reservoir. Right clicking again pours the entire stack of back into the reservoir (except with jet fuel for some reason; there you have to split the stack and pour them back in one at a time).

A stupid mistake; Fixed. Until then, you need RC installed.

Would you consider making the Electric Motor compatible with IC2? It seems strange to me that every mod I'm using has a way to convert power around - except yours and IC2. One of the mods can use a converter (IC2/Electricity -> BuildCraft/MJ -> RotaryCraft/Torque), but almost all of my machines are IC2 powered, so I'd have to start spamming other mods machines, adding another junction and adding to my lag.
I'd download Universal Electricity, but that isn't even a real mod, just a big cluster **** of mods that need to be downloaded together, over half of which add things already in my game a dozen times (seriously, the Macerator was cool, but now Auto Macerator, Rock Crusher, Industrial Grinder, and now your Extractor, and I really don't need ANOTHER type of fission reactor to be added by Atomic Science), and other half are game-breaking.
Long story short, I only have one mod that uses electricity, and adding Universal Electricity would just added uneeded lag and complexity to my (and other's, I'm sure) game. Maybe just make it so the Electric Motor take IC2 power if no Universal Electic is installed, otherwise, take U.E.'s power.

As has been discussed ad nauseam, IC2 lacks a usable physical model for its power system for a realistic conversion to make sense.

I tried that, put lava under it, powered it, and put Railcraft Steel in, but nothing happened.
Am I missing a step?

I'd download Universal Electricity, but that isn't even a real mod, just a big cluster **** of mods that need to be downloaded together, over half of which add things already in my game a dozen times (seriously, the Macerator was cool, but now Auto Macerator, Rock Crusher, Industrial Grinder, and now your Extractor, and I really don't need ANOTHER type of fission reactor to be added by Atomic Science), and other half are game-breaking.
Long story short, I only have one mod that uses electricity, and adding Universal Electricity would just added uneeded lag and complexity to my (and other's, I'm sure) game. Maybe just make it so the Electric Motor take IC2 power if no Universal Electic is installed, otherwise, take U.E.'s power.
As has been discussed ad nauseam, IC2 lacks a usable physical model for its power system for a realistic conversion to make sense.
Also, I do not support UE yet, either.
