I note that this is on a Mac - could that be having an effect? I was able to get the mods to work on another (Windows 7) computer.
...Maybe? The only time I have ever used a Mac, it caught fire.
Quote from ScalorujumpHi Reika, getting a client crash with v4b and NEI, both the latest and recommended versions. Not sure which of your mods is causing it.
Crash is happening when clicking on copper wire from electricraft in NEI to see the recipe for it.

Did something register null as a copper ingot?
Quote from RiyshnjumpIs there a formula behind the production rate of Jet Fuel? According to the wiki, it produces 1000mB every time, but my own observations give it a range of ~900 to ~2200 (I believe. I didn't write the numbers down when I was watching it.), and I was unable to figure out what was causing it to fluctuate or if it is just random.
This is with v3. I haven't updated the pack yet.
The wiki is wrong.

It doesn't help if you aren't using other mods, but enderIO fluid pipes will pull lubricant from the centrifuge.
Another issue I found today: There appears to be no recipe for spring steel ingots or ferromagnetic ingots. The recipes appear in NEI for the blast furnace, but no ingredients appear.

The old recipes still work, they are just not showing on NEI. Not sure about Ferromagnetic Ingots but for Spring Steel Ingots it's HSLA Steel Ingot, Redstone Dust and Coal Coke.
Here is a screenshot example of your ores rendering attached.
I have noticed a significant drop in framerate whenever I move my view, so long as I'm looking forward I don't have any issues but as soon as I move my view the frames drop.
As I mentioned before Xycraft had a similar problem a while back, something about the irridecent textures or something just sets it off. This problem has gotten progressively worse as I've discovered more chromaticraft ores.
I also tried running on a second Mac computer (both were running OS X).
To sum up, I have tried running ChromatiCraft 4b on 4 machines: 2 OS X (different versions of OS X; I can find up the precise ones if you think it matters), 1 Windows 7, 1 Windows XP. The Windows 7 one worked. On all the others, Minecraft crashes on launch with this error message.
On the XP Machine, I tried on both Forge 1231 and Forge 1291. Same result each time.
Bug report 2: When I got the Windows 7 machine working, I went into my existing world and noted that my progression appeared to have reset. The names and effects of Cave Crystals were jumbled, and when I went into the new Progression screen, it showed me as having obtained none of the progression milestones. In comparison, prior to the update, I had a full lexicon. Seed names were still scrambled, but otherwise I appeared to have full progression.
Bug report 3: When I upgraded ChromatiCraft from 3d to 4b, I lost some of the rituals I had previously performed. Specifically, I had previously imbued the extended reach ritual, but no longer had it post-upgrade. I also appear to have lost the fireball launching ritual. In addition, at the time I updated I had active the ritual that prevents pylon damage. Post-update, I was not able to deactivate the ritual.
Question 1: What is the likely result to my world if I simply delete all of the 4b mods and replace with 3d ones? Is this likely to cause world corruption? When I updated the server I run to use the latest version of your mods, I took a local backup before the upgrade, so I can restore that if needed. However, due to upload speeds, doing so would be a several hour chore that I would prefer to avoid repeating if possible.
Question 2: I believe you previously indicated that repeater orientation could be shifted by shift-right-clicking. I've tried this, both pre- and post- update, and was not able to get it to work. To confirm, what I did, I built a repeater, and then shift-right-clicked on it while holding (i) something with no effect, (ii) the manipulator and (iii) a block. In addition, I attempted to build a repeater "upside-down", and then shift-right clicked on the repeater crystal portion. The repeater did not give the graphic indication normally given when a repeater assembles, and did not transmit Lumens. Am I doing this wrong? Did I misunderstand your prior post?

I actually noticed the same thing last night, but thought I was running out of RAM.

I can't recall if Soaryn (more likely ChickenBones) ever fixed the quartz rendering bug... If I did I might be able to help you. Maybe Azanor? I think he temporarily had something similar with either the crystal clusters or the awesome glow-y infused stone.
I'm getting another crash: http://pastebin.com/Zf3SjtPg
Your mod crashed because class of wire wasn't found... strange...
For the moment i'll try to play without elictricraft
I don't get any electricraft crashes related NEI or otherwise (I have them all over the place believe me)
minor non important bug: Angular transducer doesn't show if the Heat Exchanger gets powered or not by a diamond shaft.(It shows if bevel gear is attached.). Exchanger itself does operate though.
I like the recent HTGR change. 8 block tall reactor now can properly run full size non-HP Turbine without interruption. Cheers for that.

You really would need a 8 tall reactor? I was making some tests in creative and was able to run a non-HP Turbine at full capacity with only 2 cores that were 2 high (A design i got from Sentinalh video) and with 4 core that were 2 high i was able to run four turbines and still had steam left ( did not test if it was enough to run a fifth one).
Btw, is it still true that if you have a stack of Pebble Bed Cores bigger than 2 high there is a chance you will eventually have only depleted pellets on the middle ones and the reactor will lose efficient until new fresh pellets come to it?
@Tabris: You may not need 8 tall reactor. I haven't fully tested it however in previous version it was barely keeping up so i have not changed my previous design.
I never had problem with depleted pellets clogging the ones in the middle. They all drop down to bottom eventually.
Are you sure they are not just going into unloaded chunks?
They can do this???
That would explain why I keep hearing the sounds when I log in to to my world, but no meteor.
The only time i see a meteor *actually* hit the ground, is if I spawn one via commands....
I'll try in a fresh superflat world to see if they are actually hitting the ground.
Is something changed in Liquid Distillery mechanics between V3 and V4? I'm currently run 8 of them on Forestry Ethanol and they are not capable to produce enough Ethanol to maintain just one Perfomance Engine at full power. And speed of their production is independent of torque and speed of their powersource, so no way to make them work faster. Enchantments are not working too. So now i need whole room full of them to make couple of engines constantly running? That's an interesting challenge, but i'm afraid it can begin to lag heavily.
As far as i remember in V3 4 distillerys was more than enough ... I might be wrong.
Or liquid ethanol somehow stuck in fuel line (thanks to it's unlimited volume) and not reaching crystallizer, but usage of liquid conduits from ender io render the same result...
I love Mystcraft, but the gap between *accessible* versions is sometimes frustrating in the face of long-lived "significant bug"s. I don't know that any mod maker could account for what is available in iron-clad-closed-door-dev versions without some level of synchronicity between release dates of the two mods.
I much prefer faster cycles (especially nightlies!) and am totally OK with it meaning that 0.0.01 to *02 build increments will have short-lived minor bugs, or some single builds being completely unplayable.
"Iron-Clad, closed-door-dev versions"?
I'm not even allowed to set up a 2 person test server to test with a friend. I can test single player, or solo server player. It's not even close to something that can be used normally.
And, the release schedule? It's right around the same as Reika's -- it releases when it's ready.
From 0.9.5, for 1.4.7 -- which worked, and was stable -- up to 0.10.5 for 1.6.4, there was no "finished, ready, stable" version, and even then it needed 0.10.7 to get the excessive randomness under control. People got the "work-in-progress" releases, thought it was ready/good/playable, and ... shudder ... wanted the flaws in those versions to remain and stay around.
The current version has had a major re-write to a major internal mechanism. There was no "this is playable" version. I was able to shoot down two versions of this re-write. Heck, I think I can shoot down the third (current), but Xcw says that what I have is just "good writing", and he's willing to let it stay.
Right now, as I understand it, it's just running through all the new/revised GUI behaviors, and making sure that things work. I've actually had my last two (I think it's two) issues come back as "Will be addressed in the next release", so it's basically in feature freeze right now.
0.11.0 does work, works well, and has no significant issues.
Minor ones? Sure -- the library lecterns don't have a wide variety of pages. Symbol rarity is broken (Those are the same issue, it turns out) so randomly added features can include "rare" things too often -- because they aren't actually rare. And modpacks that turn up extra ore generation triggers instability in ages. Fixing *that* turned out to be a big issue, and the last two builds were either fixing an issue with that, or an odd SMP issue. Oh, and the "plain desert" look of Mesas.
Long-lasting, significant bugs? An X/Z ordering issue that resulted in biome boundaries looking garbled, and the order of snow generation versus trees in chunk gen. I don't know if the snow/tree issue will be fixed in 0.11.1, or if it will also wait for 0.11.2. Height of flat worlds is going to wait for .2. The X/Z ordering had to get fixed to get Mesa/etc biomes to decorate properly.
===
Reika: When you say that Mystcraft has strange worldgen: I'm trying to understand this, possibly to help Xcw make a better, more compatible mod. Most mystcraft worlds are either flat, or standard (same hills and valleys as the overworld; the stonemap behavior has been updated from the 164 code to the 1710 code now), or void. Other than that, they are generally nether (which looks like a flat world at Y=128), or island (like The End dimension). Can you support the Flat and Standard world types? Can you support cave worlds as if they were flat/128 worlds?
Oh yea -- the current version can produce flat worlds above Y=128. The mapping is basically (average biome base height * 64) + 64.

Nor do I.
The crash is caused by a mod registering null to the Ore Dictionary as ingot[Metal].

This is not possible. Nothing about what powers a machine affects the transducer.

OK, thanks.
And another question: is Aluminum powder for making Silicon powder is still produced as occasional bonus from iron ore in Extractor, as written in the manual book? I've got a lot of tungsten flakes, but no aluminum at all, and so can't craft silicon ingots.

Redstone is the way to get aluminum.

(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
Thank you and sorry for my english xD
The recipe is shapeless and works fine.
Not in v4, but I have deliberately slowed them down to prevent exactly this.
Try removing mods.
The ender pearl recipes are being re-added in v4c to fix the accidental silk-touch dependency this creates.
Can you work with aluminum from other mods? Or is this a tech-tree gating system?
