The ONLY official download is here: https://sites.google.com/site/reikasminecraft/dragonapi. If you downloaded it from anywhere else than the links on that page then there is a good chance that it is infected. If by crashing you mean that the game fails to load, then please post the log and crash reports.
They can take any content they so desire from a mod and incorporate it into vMC
They can grant that power to a third party
They are not giving that third-party implicit permission, nor are they saying that third parties inherently have that permission.
Additionally, no matter what Mojang says, the law takes precedence. In the case of mods, this means code and asset copyright. Mojang could (but does not) explicitly say that "once you upload a mod, anyone can take its code and reuse it, you lose all ownership", and it would have as much legal effect as "if you use our software you grant us permission to take your house if we feel like it" - none. I can look into adding my biomes to the terraformer, yes.
Adding frequency options is not an option, because every time you change it you will need to purge the map. As long as it does not crowd out other discussion and does not degrade to insults or hostility, I have no problem with it being discussed here, as there is a level of relevance these discussions have.
True enough... I'm no law expert so seeing that made me wonder either way. But the EULA is poorly written as it stands and needs to be re-written.
However, I do believe that Cal's dev considers anyone with their mod a user whether it be mojang or just your average joe schmoe. That should be something that should be looked into further to be completely honest.
So, world corrupting bug: breaking the top half of a double high plant with bedrock shears crashes the game, and it crashes again on reloading the world. I think this trace if from a double high fern, but I had them all lined up in a test world, so I might have hit another one.

Ah, I see you pushed another set of commits. I have some questions about the new additions to the toroid magnet.
AxisAlignedBB box = ReikaAABBHelper.getBlockAABB(x, y, z);
List li = world.getEntitiesWithinAABB(EntityPlasma.class, box);
int[] tg = this.getTarget();
for (int i = 0; i < li.size(); i++) {
EntityPlasma e = li.get(i);
if (this.canAffect(e)) {
e.setTarget(tg[0], tg[2]);
e.magnetOrdinal = this.getOrdinal();
tank.removeLiquid(25);
}
else {
ReactorAchievements.ESCAPE.triggerAchievement(this.getPlacer());
}
}
If I read the code correctly, for each plasma entity within the a 3x3x3 bounding box centered on the toroid magnet, adjust their trajectory and consume 25 mB of liquid nitrogen for each instance. On average how many plasma entities travel through a toroid bounding box per second? You had said earlier that the fusion reactor now consume about 3 buckets of liquid N2 per second, so from that I calculated on average 3 plasma entities travel through a toroid each second ((3000 mB/s)/(25 mB/entity)/36 toroid). Is that about right? It seems a bit low? I read elsewhere in the code, unless I'm wrong, that fusing plasma need a density of about 15+ plasma entities at a coordinate. So isn't the mininum higher? Around (15 entites*25 mB*20 ticks*36 toroids) ~ 270 buckets/second? Seems a tad high...I must be wrong. Hope to hear from you.

I do not have exact numbers on rates, but a fusion reactor has a bout 350 plasma entities at any one time, moving at about 5 blocks/s.
Quote from ChromoTrigger»This also leads to a different question: would the coding allow for the fusion reactor to look different than the usual one, e.g. having a larger radius?
No. I tried to do this early on, but too much of the fusion reactor design assumes some given relative locations.

I have been using ChromatiCraft and DragonAPI V1f for a while now with no issues until today. It appears that ChromatiCraft may be (could be other mods which I am looking into) causing the world to crash randomly. It would crash while walking West within a Forest biome. Each crash report appears to point to the same .java file. The file in question possibly could be: DecoratorEnderForest.java. Here is the link to the crash report: http://pastebin.com/YwxYGLvw.

EnderPoolGenerator gen = new EnderPoolGenerator();
So "currentWorld" must be null.
Something is calling the world generator with a null world, probably another mod. I am not going to put an explicit != null test here, as it is a case that should never be happening.

I have done some testing. The item causing problems is id:175 "minecraft:double_plant". Vanilla uses the DV to decide which plant to render. Values 0-5 are normal double high plants that work properly. Values higher then that are used for the top 1/2 of the plants, and were never intended to render as entities. In vanilla 1.7.10 the command "/give player 175 1 0" gives you a sunflower, while "/give player 175 1 9" crashes the game with what looks to be the same back trace.
For people wanting to clean up a world after this happens, use MCEdit to delete entities around the player, and use a nbt editor to remove any item 175 with a DV >5 from the players inventory in level.dat.

Thank you for clarifying what could be causing the issue and I agree that you would not want to add an unnecessary test to your mod / code. I will have to check your TOS to see if I can pull out the Dye Tree generation code and place it as its own mod. If that is not ok, maybe I can create my own mod to add Dye Trees as that is why I am using ChromatiCraft to begin with. Not sure how that would go, me being a novice Java coder...

No, try removing mods to see who is violating the worldgen.

That is / was my first instinct as that would be the most logical route instead of trying to "code it to work". I figured you would not just want your code / mod taken apart to fix an issue that is being caused by someone else's mod. I will do some more testing and get back with any results I have.

Thank you Reika. I'll do some tests when V2 is released. I'm too lazy to compile your code and setting up gradle is such a hassle. Why can't it all be gcc, or even better icc. I'm excited to see if the code suggestion for DPA will work.
Also I figured out how to get the boiler to use ammonia with /debugtest. No need to implement a neutron source or a heat block.

They match the ones in the image? If so, they're for the Magnetostatic Engine.
Not sure if this has been reported or not but in GeoStrata 1.7.10 V1f, There are no textures for a bunch of the blocks like cobblestone schist,granite,limestone etc..
You might have already addressed this, if so sorry just giving a heads up. And im not using any resource packs.
Edit:
Im dumb it was my fault lol your textures are fine.
Where is the issue tracker? I don't see a link for it on the front page, or the website... unless I'm simply being very tired, which is very likely.

This makes no sense...
Ah, I see you pushed another set of commits. I have some questions about the new additions to the toroid magnet.
Below is what I am using for mods on both machines, it crashes on both (I transferred the world and hosted it on both):

Everything else appears to be working although I did notice that Minecraft would randomly crash when creating worlds with the same error but not very often. Maybe if an Ender Forest was being generated? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Keep up the great work Reika!
NPE at
"gen" is explicitly declared
I will look into preventing this in the future.
...Stupid vanilla code.
I believe I have fixed / found the issue. It may be an issue with Underground Biomes Constructs mod. I am using the 0.6h11 version for 1.7.10 and per (http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1293503-underground-biomes-constructs) I was to change inChunkGeneration to false (default was true). I changed the value from true to false and it appears to stop the crashing.
Hopefully that helps anyone who has the same issue and the world continues to not crash on me. Thank you for your assistance.
Converter engine upgrades. Generally not needed.
You might have already addressed this, if so sorry just giving a heads up. And im not using any resource packs.
Edit:
Im dumb it was my fault lol your textures are fine.
