Run into a small snag between chromaticraft and extrabiomes
quote from extrabiomes below
Quote from Aeraesoria»Noticed something, I'm having a biome conflict between Reika's chromaticraft rainbow forest and extrabiomes. See if I try changing either one of the id's for the biomes mountain taiga (47) or rainbow forest (47) for either mod and try to start the game the biome id's in either mods config file automatically change right back to what it was prior to me changing it. No matter how many times I try they just go back to what they were generated with it's almost as if the coding in either mod overwrites user changes to mod config files which makes it extremely difficult to sort out biome id conflicts.
Have you been able to move Lubricant in 1.7.10 with Tesseracts? I can't get it to go between the two.
What have you been trying? If you're trying to link up lubricant hoses, yes, it would appear that that doesn't work. However, on your receiving tesseract, put down a reservoir and then drain from that.
Also, remember, RotaryCraft pipes only insert into the sides of blocks and extract from the top/bottom.

Both the Lava Smeltery and the Fluid Crystallizer cease to work once there is a single item in their output slot. For example, smelting wood to charcoal in the Smeltery, regardless of the operation time, only one operation will occur until the output slots are empty, despite the fact that charcoal is stackable to 64. Same with the Fluid Crystallizer and ice.
Additionally, the Smeltery's progress bar does not work.
I just downloaded the latest versions of most of your mods for a custom modpack that I'm creating and I discovered a weird problem. It appears that through the landscape there are now liquid pools of an ender like fluid. I guess this is added by Chromaticraft. However the problem is that the texture of this liquid is missing. It shows as the 'missing texture' texture. I can't find any error in the log related to this. Is this a known problem? I have looked in the latest pages of this forum post but couldn't find anything about it.
Thanks

You know this mod that can "grow" some materials after combining "base" materials and some sort of magical essence? Well the problem is i am quite sick of minetweaking its broken recipes knowing the patreons of the author recieve "fixed" version of the mod privately while we struggle with it. I think its very cheap way of milking people's money. I went off topic here a bit sorry. i have a suggestion:
Chromatic craft is a magic mod that utilizes crystals which can be "grown" or even farmed. There are tons of colour combinations (which my 5 year old daughter fascinated by flashing lime one for some reason) which can be used to craft those base materials like blaze rods / ghast tears..ect or even pylon chargers can charge them in some fashion? i can come up with 10 more different ideas and i think that will be quite fun to play.
yeah I looked back in the extrabiomes thread and it was on there end. I thought it would be intelligent to at least post the problem in both threads just to cover all bases in case one mod maker/group would come back with a negative on the issue. Thanks for the reply though Reika

Having trouble with magnetostatic engines not working and noticed they have a "fluid tank" but no idea what to fill them with... I tried a few things with no success and nowehere does it say what they need.

I really like the idea.
One thing I want to say:
Are you talking about MagicCrops? If so, you are making a very serious accusation towards mark719, as it is very much against the rules to make donator-only features in your mods, including maintaining two "releases", one markedly better than the other and restricted to donators.

The missing texture is fixed in v2, and that is an Ender Forest.

I really do not want to point fingers. however i will give you some example:
Lets say i have developed a mod in 1.6.4 and released it under version 9
now i made few fixes and released 12 then i choose few of my patreons and gave them 13,14 and 15 as a test version(keeping it private ofc) which is exactly the 12 however its broken recipes function as they should. I even "shared" this 15 with a popular public mod pack few weeks before all major mods upgrade to next version of minecraft (1.7). once i have shared this v15 with a popular mod pack i had to make it public right? its not a test/dev version anymore so i branded it v16 and released it to public. couple of weeks later i once upgraded my code to v17 with few broken recipes (which i am not going to fix) and start the same cycle all over again.
Technically i haven't broken any law. I just shared my dev/test(with recipe fixes) build only with my close friends and patreons and when all major mods upgrade to newer version of minecraft i will make this dev/test version public so its practically worthless.
I hope you got the idea.
Btw i am glad you liked the idea i am looking forward to play/test it
i ran into a bit of a problem with meteorcraft. I have it running on a server [i was testing stuff out with what mods work with what].

No, turning off the browinsh tint from block light that was added in beta 1.8.
That is exactly what I mean; "block light", or what a block looks like under artificial light such as torches, fire, lava, etc, versus skylight, or what it looks like in the sky.
Smooth stone is all neutral greys in daytime skylight; bluish at night. Reddish in torchlight. ETc.
...

So far, technically, OK; you had a release, granted with issues; you've worked on a better dev version given to your testers and supporters. Now, you've got a new public release. Ok.
couple of weeks later i once upgraded my code to v17 with few broken recipes (which i am not going to fix) and start the same cycle all over again.
If you keep this up, then you'll get a reputation for releasing broken code, and people will move away from your mod to others.
You can probably do this once; maybe, maybe twice. You would be dropped as unreliable / buggy by the third time.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?

I checked inside the jar and everything is where it should be, but it might be because its calling a method thats tagged client only.
Fixed in v2. For now, remove MeteorCraft.
That is exactly what I mean; "block light", or what a block looks like under artificial light such as torches, fire, lava, etc, versus skylight, or what it looks like in the sky.
Smooth stone is all neutral greys in daytime skylight; bluish at night. Reddish in torchlight. ETc.
So far, technically, OK; you had a release, granted with issues; you've worked on a better dev version given to your testers and supporters. Now, you've got a new public release. Ok.
