Hahaha! I don't know if I get more entertainment out of RotaryCraft itself or this thread!
Your patience is admirable, Reika. No way I could handle modding.

hi i'm Steven
i'm with a friend developing a channel and i wanted a mod pack to use. it inst a large channel so that's why we want to do something different to everyone else with a epic mod pack. so can we please use your great mods in our mod pack...please?
from steven
p.s
channel GaminUNLtd its rather small
Are people allowed to download the pack and then rehost it on their own system?
Are people allowed to decompose the pack into its constituent mods and rehost them individually or collectively?
Do you plan on using configs or external mods to significantly change the way the mod(s) work, such that a guide for the default setup would be misleading or useless for yours (or vice versa)?
im not changing anything in the mod except the id's when you say re host if you mean re upload then no and to decompose no
Just as an update those are fixed. No pressure intended Reika, just don't want to let out of date information spread.
Just curious, I'm using build 44 of modular powersuits, which is the newest one to my knowledge and its still crashing on me.. which version is working for you?
yep, always get all three from the jenkins build.. but I "think" I have worked out this is the old problem of needing to run MC one time with powersuits installed FIRST, and THEN install TE3/CoFH Core.. this used to happen months ago and thats how you fixed it then. If you delete all your configs and try to do a "fresh" install with both installed at the same time you get this "invalid ore recipe" junk....

So, could you at least push the fix to your Github so people can compile it themselves? Or publish the new release? I think a lot of people are stuck wanting to play with ThermalExpansion yet cannot because they don't want to lose everything they have worked for so far in RotaryCraft.
Thanks.
You must be kidding? I'm pretty sure the cardinal rule for every mod dev is, DO NOT ASK FOR UPDATES and PATCHES. Did you ask COFH the same question while they were working on TE3.
Everyone is stoked to use TE3 and Rotarycraft but maybe you should give him some time to work out the crash, since it is a gui bug from what I read, it may not be a simple fix.
Why don't you read before you write? He said he already fixed it...
Doesn't mean the fix gets recompiled and uploaded right away. From what I can tell he was up late last night working out the bug, and probably went to bed (god forbid) and might even be recompiling it right now.
Or he could just be making people to wait, cause we can't read.

Best thing is to just report people like Popkaeversoon and pdgwien. The MinecraftForum moderators can sort out the rest. No need to dignify their useless posts by replying to them.

That is explicitly disallowed by my terms of service and my copyright, and it is people like you I would have turned that discussed-earlier lockout feature against.
I put out an update when I feel it is ready, not to satisfy impatient and immature babies who cannot even wait 5 minutes from hearing about an update to demanding it, and especially not people who will openly request the ability to steal the source for their own gain.
First things first - amazing mod. I rarely post about these things but RotaryCraft, with it's fantastic operation and beautiful models is an exception (:
Next, a quick question - I know you're too busy to maintain a wiki on these things, so I ask: does the handbook contain a guide for ReactorCraft as it does RotaryCraft? Apologies if it has been asked before but I didn't see it if so.
"[ROTARYCRAFT/REACTORCRAFT] Can you make it so it can use American units (hp, ft-lb, rpm, and F?"
Do you want to try calculating required gearboxes/engines to power a machine that requires 76.384 hp at 8475.2619 rpm, requiring a temperature of 1176.2355 degrees, at a pressure of 0.99938 bar?
You are my idol. I honestly cannot imagine how schools teach children this.
Plus - I do things realistically. Do you really want RotaryCraft to use realistic electrical power, with current loops, magnetic induction, nodal analysis, and electrical phase calculations? You will change your "electricity is simple" position rather rapidly.
But will you consider making a mod that does exactly that? Your realistic take on things is most interesting.
Finally, just ignore the trolls, keep doing what you're doing!

No, because RotaryCraft does not depend on ReactorCraft and thus cannot assume it is present.
But will you consider making a mod that does exactly that? Your realistic take on things is most interesting.
No; not only is that an exorbitant amount of work, but the mathematics would not perform well on most weaker computers.
Here is a sample (taken from materials uploaded by one of my professors in a course a few years ago) of what you would be in for.

Where exactly do you explicitly disallow the compilation of your source code? I can't find it in your Terms of Service nor in your copyright… If you don't want people to compile your source code, why did you choose open source?

??? Open source does NOT mean "free for anyone to compile and do with as they wish". Its open source so people can look at the code and see what he did where and LEARN from it or verify that there are no malicious bits of code hidden in there.
Its stated in this thread and and time again he doesn't want people compiling his code and then distributing it. Why? Because people will assume the code he didn't compile is "Supported" code and will post up bug reports for it. It will cause more work for him in the long run and more people bugging him for to fix things that may not actually be broken.
The real question here is why you just can't take "no its not ready yet" as an answer and leave well enough alone. Its done when its done.

Digital Reality Private Pack - 200+ Mods, Dedi Server
Just curious, I'm using build 44 of modular powersuits, which is the newest one to my knowledge and its still crashing on me.. which version is working for you?
Digital Reality Private Pack - 200+ Mods, Dedi Server
"Invalid shaped ore recipe: true, RGB, H , WLW, W, 1xitem.null@0, L, null, H, 1xtile.glass@0, R, 1xitem.dyePowder@1, G, 1xitem.dyePowder@2, B, 1xitem.dyePowder@4, 1xitem.null@12"
Anyway, testing the theory now.. yep.. sure enough, loading up once with just powersuits installed and then installing TE3/COFH "fixed" the issue.
Still reporting this to machine muse though as this has been an ongoing bug for like 8 months if I recall..
Go ahead.
