Nope, I'm working on releasing the current version of the Colored Light Beta...
The beta is far from a usable API that behaves perfectly. I need to get it working completely before I can even think of getting the Colored Glass Mod to start using it!
Hmm... among everything else I'm doing? Not at the moment. I'm sorry
Maybe once I'm not as busy, but I really don't want to spend time here, when I can create new and up to date content for everyone to use!

Well if 1.7 comes out before the mod comes out and you need to change the mod for 1.7 will you change the method of obtaining the coloured glass?

That's a REALLY good question.
I don't know. I personally like the idea of forcing users to create colored sand, THEN making colored glass... but if Mojang doesn't do it that way, then I don't know.

Your way allows for more building possibilities. In the snapshots they already added red sand to match with the hardened clay biome(Mesa) so if they wanted to they probably could make all kinds of sand. I didn't test it, but I think the red sand when smelted only gives your normal glass, if you even can smelt it.

currently only gives regular glass...
If Mojang doesn't implement this, I probably will
What are your plans now that Mojang is adding colored glass?
Once Mojang releases 1.7 I plan on doing the following
1.) Release a mod with the content Mojang "missed"
-This will most likely include colored sand, and connected textures.
-I might release a better looking renderer/texture pack to go along with it, as the current renderer and texture levels don't look as "vibrant" as I'd like them to.
2.) Now that I don't have to work on colored glass as much, I'll have more time to work on the Colored Lighting API
-I'll focus on making large improvements to my lighting engine
-Get a public release for others to use/modify with
3.) Once the lighting API approaches a much more usable level, then I plan on getting the glass and panes to tint light. In the case that Mojang releases their colored glass, I'll use their glass to tint light.
no, it's not out of the question... I didn't know there were too many people itching for it.
I'll take a look sometime soon.
Thank you! It's just that there is no colored glass mod that includes colored sand like yours does. Most other mods add in like 100 other blocks when i just want some glass and sand.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?

Back ported to 1.5.2, however CTM appears to be non functional. I don't know what that may require.

That should answer most everything...
I plan on improving the default glass' aesthetics. I don't know exactly how I'll do that... Maybe MCPatcher... maybe I'll release a modified renderer.
Maybe I'll get away with just releasing a texture pack!

In other words, if I use this in 164 to make colored glass, does it make the same thing that vanilla colored glass is in 1.7.2?
(Aside: I see that you color sand, and then smelt that. I'm not sure how 1.7 makes colored glass.)

No, i'm assuming ids will change.
Also, to make the new colored glass, for 1.7, you surround a dye with glass. That's it
No, you'd have to run a program like Midas to convert ID's and damage values accordingly.
Also, there is no colored sand (apart from Red Sand) in the 1.7 patch

That they did, although they appear to be missing all of the colored Sand to go with it! (Hope fully Mojang releases the missing sand soon!)
I was able to make a resource pack that changes how the Minecraft textures look, if you're interested in the work I do, you can find it here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/2069904-17-stained-glass-resource-pack/#entry25416606
