It sounds like a good mod we don't have many vicious fish in minecraft. And by the way if you make a banner I will use it and support this mod.
It will be unlikely that I'll keep updating this mod, as it's really basic and done quickly for modjam, but I am working on another mod that will most likely use large portions of what is in here.
I went through the portal and was kind of just plopped into the ocean with no return portal.
There's plenty of wood and glowstone around, but what about redstone? I'd really like to get back to my home base and grab my respiration helm.
Also, can the air flower and kelp be crafted into anything?

The portal sometimes spawns a bit far away from the player, try looking above you in a tree or something, there was something a bit screwy with the teleporter as I made it in an hour or so.
And the air flowers and kelp are just for decoration, you can right-click air flowers to refil your breath meter though.

Oh cool! HTat info is awfully helpful, though I seem to have trouble not getting swarmed by barracuda when I spawn. Is there an ideal spot to build a portal to avoid this?

You could probably try to get a portal in a tree to link to the overworld, I believe the portal mechanics are trying to work on a scaled dimension, but there is no difference in the blocks (like how it's 1:8 in the nether it's 1:1 in serastia) and making it 1:8 would probably have fixed it, I'll probably see if I can fix some issues after the modjam voting is finished. Until then try and link to coordinates in the overworld to the ones in serastia and the portals should link properly.

Although this is more of a one-off problem with the large tree gen, and shouldn't happen for different styles of dimension. This wait time is general the maximum I will go to for a wait time on loading a dimension.
And as a side note to everyone else, I'm not updating this mod at all, I may update it to minecraft 1.7 when it come out, but beyond that I'm focusing on my main mod, Sojourn, which will be taking themes and things from this dimension and spreading it across several dimensions where they would fit better.

It's not a secret as all the source and stuff is publicly accessible, but it's still incredibly in development and I don't want to make a forum post until I have something presentable at least.
Made the portal, set it alight, and entered. Got two crashes, of which none have happened before without the mod installed (I have a bunch of other mods).
Hope you know what's up with those, I'd love to play with this.

Looks like a world gen issue with my biome & battle towers, then another world gen issue with natura. No idea why without seeing the source of the other mods, will look into this, as this system shares many similarities with my world gen utils...

How stable would you consider this for servers?
It should be fine, there are a few bugs with loading speed and what-not but it'll run fine.
