I released v1.2.2 which allows you to hold the sneak key to disable the auto-orienting behavior. That way you can direct them into chests or whatnot regardless of the direction your ducts came from.
I finally backported v1.2.2 to Minecraft 1.5.2 for those of you still using that version. Were a bit more differences to fix than usual now that there's an extra (and slightly more complicated) block with the Grated Hopper, but I played around with it for a few minutes and everything seems to work properly.
Thank you for your mod! It's great! But will you port it to 1.7.2?
Thanks!
I think it's safe to say that it will absolutely be ported to 1.7, even though I have absolutely no idea what kind of changes will be necessary to make it work. It's supposed to be a pretty huge update. MCP will probably be updated soon, which will then let the Forge team get started updating, but I plan to spend the time in between to at least look through the code to see what I'll be getting into.
Hi! I was wondering if I could use your mod in a publicly available mod-pack. It's going to be an enhancing mod-pack, that enhances Minecraft.
I'd at least like to know the name of the modpack. I probably should put the same "permissions" section from Redstone Paste here as well, now that I think about it!
But sure, you can use both Hopper Ducts and Redstone Paste (since I saw your post in the other thread as well).

Thanks for pointing it out, since I don't always notice places that it pops up. Though in this case I admit that I noticed it fairly quickly, because like when they added Redstone Paste, it caused a rather noticeable view spike on Adf.ly! It's starting to settle back down now though.
I still have a slightly mixed opinion about mod installers in general (not necessarily being up-to-date, not encouraging people to learn how to do it themselves, etc), but from a modder's perspective, I personally think Skydaz does pretty much everything right. They get a thumbs up.

SkyDaz keep them pretty up to date. Maybe a couple of days before they update it.
Something to consider, Liquid Hoppers. They would be made with buckets, instead of a chest and the ducts could be made with bowls. Forge has almost all the code you would need built in and it would fit in.
It's something to consider, as long as I'm not stepping on another modder's toes, since I believe there may already be such a thing out there.
Hey there! Many grats for the mod! Is there a way to get "thrown away" the non-passed items in the grated hopper?
Hmm, you make a good point, there isn't really any direct way to destroy items. Some mods add things like void chests, which would probably work together with the ducts just fine. But without those installed, I guess about the only way I can think of would be to dump unwanted items into a dropper or dispenser, and have that pulsed to dump stuff into lava or a cactus or something.
FyberOptic,Would it be possible for me to include Hopper Ducts in a mod pack I am currently working on?http://www.minecraft...ientia-modpack/Full credit as well as a link back to this post will be provided. Thanks,~QuantumBlade
It's a public server modpack that's the 42nd modpack to ever be added to the technic platform. We've been on page 2 since the beginning of technic platform as well. Im undergoing a complete revamp of the modpack and modded server, and I think this would be perfect!
When you consider how many pages of modpacks there are on Technic, page 2 is a pretty impressive spot to hold!

It's non-profit of course. Finished thread will have all the links to the other mods and everything. The goal of this pack was to mostly maintain the feel of vanilla, without adding any enormous tech mods or power systems or anything like that. (As the title would suggest.) And what better method of item transfer to include in a vanilla-feel pack than Hopper Ducts?

I enjoy simpler packs sometimes myself, especially since my computer can't always handle the beefier ones! And sure, you can include the mod.
There's been several modpack requests in the last few days, so I should mention for future reference to folks that it's probably a better bet to send me a PM rather than doing it in the thread. It's easier for me to miss requests, and/or take longer to respond.

I'm working on an open-source mod called Craft++. Check it out!
Sure, you can use it. And thanks for linking to it.
Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I apparently didn't see the topic notification!
