Causes a crash walking on Thaumcrafts Crusted Taint blocks. You can then no longer load that world without instantly crashing until Presence Footsteps is removed. Couldn't get a crash-log as I just uninstalled without thinking about it. I'll reinstall and get it later is no one else beats me to it.
Those block id's are not yet dealt with in the source code . IE. you step on a unidentified block and Steve panics , has a breakdown , says he's not playing anymore and leaves the game .LoL
As you may have predicted, there is a reason I have been unresponsive regarding the development of this mod. There have been developments in my life all year long, this year, that have proven to be completely disruptive. It is no longer possible for me to work on this mod.
I had been holding out hope, believing that conditions would eventually improve, and that I would be able to pick up where I had left off. Now, I am finally willing to accept that this is not the case. As such, with a heavy heart, I shall no longer stand in the way.
I regret that I was unable to tell this to you all until now. I promise it was from a place of personal integrity. I wanted to be the kind of developer who could make this work. What I have learned is that it is better for you, and better for this mod, that I bow out; I only wish I could have done so in a more tactful way.
I'll be keeping in touch with the thread as much as I can the following days.
I wish you well in your future endeavours. You'll be surely missed but between me and Dagg, and possibly those who follow, we can keep your legacy going through the great mods you've left behind.

its a shame that Huricaaane has to leave... this and MAtmos were my favorite mods vack in 1.5 and 1.6... but when he switched over to lightloader, I thought "okay, a new thing, says its compatable with Forge, why not. atleast I can play with these mods again!" Only... when I booted up minecraft... every time it crashed... and it was Lightloaders fault... ever time I tried to use it, I got the same results... I have, and forever will, swear off using or attempt to install Lightloader... purely because its a pain to do. And now, my favorite mods are no-longer in development (officially)... Far thee well Huricaaane... I wish you luck in your future endevors... and hope that one day you have some time, and you sit down and look back, and find the time and ability to pick up where you unfortunately had to leave off...

Update Presence Footsteps u7b to re-enable the update checker. It will now look at my github for any future updates.
I've also fixed a possible resource leak when reloading sounds.

I don't know if this would be to much to ask, or if this is out of your coding skills... but do you think you'd be able to make PF and/or MA work for regular forge again? I mean, so it doesn't require Lightloader (I think that if push comes to shove, I might give in and attempt to use that... thing... again, purely so I can use PF and MA again...)

Think of liteloader as an API (application program interface) to make it easier for a coder to hook into Minecraft / Forge functions . Forge loads liteloader as a mod to extend the functionality of its code . This allows for smooth communication with Minecraft . Lots of mods have additional dependencies . PF and MATMOS can function with or without Forge as a dependency . So your asking for Forge support , its already there .
Run liteloader and select to extract liteloader.jar to your mod / version# / , directory . Forge will now load all your mods

Once Forge is installed , run the Liteloader Installer , choose the last option " Extract Liteloader Jar " at the bottom browse to " .minecraft / mods / 1.8 / " .
hit " OK " . put all your mods ( *.jar and *.litemod ) in the " .minecraft / mods / 1.8 / "
In you Minecraft launcher create a Forge 1.8 Profile by selecting the new forge you just installed . That's it
Once Forge is installed , run the Liteloader Installer , choose the last option " Extract Liteloader Jar " at the bottom browse to " .minecraft / mods / 1.8 / " .
hit " OK " . put all your mods ( *.jar and *.litemod ) in the " .minecraft / mods / 1.8 / "

Baaaah! 1.8 is a fowl verion... I refuse to use it... But I have gotten it to work in 1.7.10, and have re-enlightened my ears to the amazing sounds that are Presence Footsteps~
Now, I just need to get a better computer, get Better Leaves, some sort of Shader mod, and prance through open fields, rather than these horrible endless planes of flatness taht I'm stuck using (because crappy computer is crappy QAQ) thankfully my calculator computer is still able to run decently.
And, with that one mod (that I can't for the live fo me remember the name of XD) that adds more... "Realistic" sounds, such as muffled sounds behind water/lava, echoes in caves, those kinds of things, my footsteps echo o the cold hard bedrock at the bottom of my mine... only problem is it sounds like I"m wearing high heals XD
Also, on a side note, I think that the MAtmos (1.7.10 release from the two currently maintaining it) doesn't work... so I'll be stuck with monsterless groans near bedrock... I miss those creepy sounds... and the chrickets that come out when its night time, and the ninja birds fluttering in the trees... and that very weak, but very fast wind that barely causes me to flinch when I'm up kissing the clouds... Ahh... and the rain... the beautiful rain... Maybe I can find a way to make it work... or have someone else (or you my good sir!) help me to get it tow work again... because LL said that it had errors on startup... tis a shame... no?

I'm wholly against forge and their principles, so I don't plan to convert them. Besides LiteLoader works fine with forge for a lot of people. If you can't run them together I'd recommend checking if you have the latest versions of both.
And as far as MA is concerned you'd have to go ask Dagg. He's the current maintainer for that.

It could just be a limitation in minecraft's sound system but I will look into trying to fix that.
Edit: Fixed. You just have to redownload the resourcepack. Everything else stays the same.

Indeed. Both liteloader and forge are tweakers and can load other tweakers. If you have liteloader working you could theoretically use it to load forge as well. Though I've never tried.
