Progress update:
its coming along. I am completely done with gates, they are now 100% fully functional inside FMP.
Wires are proving to be a little more challenging...
Immibis said that recentlytoday. From what you said he is 100% wrong.
How is it?
Did you count the work-in-progress forge/multipart work into those 100 percents of rewriting?
When you spare a line of code during rewriting, it won't make it rewritten.
Either I'm blind or I don't see any identical code used in the same functionality or syntax in both sources O.o Granted, the functionality is a bit similar, but they're still a bit unique and influenced by RP o.o

As far as the community is concerned right now, PR is a copy of Redlogic. Nothing's gonna change minds for now.
I don't care about minds. That question was about facts.
Are you saying that stating the facts might do harm?
Im saying that i don't want to state facts until I'm ready to do so. Right now, PR is a little over 50% re-written. Out of respect for the modding community, until that is at 100, I'm still going to say this mod a DIRECT copy of red logic, its only fair. A new versions not going out until then either, even though it is currently stable enough to play with the gates in FMP.
Very well done. Considering that you are doing the entirety of Redpower2 without any of Eloraam's code, that is a LOT of work. It looks like you have updated almost all of it (at least the stuff I used in 1.4.7). RP2 is a BIG mod, and you have done a great job 'updating' it from scratch.

Actually, it won't be considered 'scratch' until next version but yea, thanks.

There is finally an actually use-able replacement to Red Power!!
Will you be adding the sapphire and ruby tools? Not completely needed, I just would rather spend my diamonds on something better than a pick or a sword.

Later, after everything settles down. The code is pretty messy at the moment, while I'm moving each thing to its own sub-mod and with FMP of course.

I like your idea of bringing back this mod, however I don't think you should clone RP2 exactly, but instead take a look at how everything was done from a game play perspective as well as a programming perspective and say to yourself "How can I make this more effective than the old", for example the old RP2 tubing system felt kind of sloppy to me. The logic was good for when the items were in transit, but the piles of and piles of blocks like filters, sorters, retrievers, transposers, and so on just felt clunky and made it difficult to do anything compact and intelligent at the same time. I feel you could improve upon things like that, as well the old crafting system had way to many steps for some times. And could I suggest just getting rid of all the bluetric stuff, use MJ power instead to allow for better compatibility. Replace RP2 with something better, not a clone. Once you are further along I do plan on adding it to a modpack. Oh, and I suggest looking here: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/1-5-x-redstone-in-motion-redpower-frames-1-2-0-0-1-july-7.47048/ for what I think is a far better frame system than RP2 ever had, could I suggest basing your system off that?
The main reason I use RedPower is for the MicroBlocks. My structures rely on 80% of microblocks.
Would it be some how pausable to keep the microblocks from my redpower world, when I switch over to Project Red? Assuming both mods had the same Microblock block ID. Same goes for my wiring.
This is actually a deal breaker for me. Because I kind of don't see the point in updating to this mod if all of my work would have been for nothing, if none of this is actually compatible with RedPower.
Also, would you be able to make Marble and Basalt blocks? and make the ID's the same as the default IDs that RedPower pr6 had. I am not asking for you to re-create the world gen for these blocks. Just have the blocks in the game. Therefor, updateing from a previous RedPower world, you will still have the Volcanoes and awesome marble caves. Granted only for chunks that were loaded when RedPower existed.
One more thing.
I know you are porting this mod over to ForgeMultiPart, but what exactly are you porting over? Just the wiring, and logic? or are you also porting over the microblocks, like the covers, slabs and strips? Because forgemultipart already supports this, and frankly I really like the new way forgemultipart handles the microblocks. The whole stacking mechanic is amazing.

World gen will come later, though its not really going to work your way unless I end up using the same meta values as rp2 (as the world blocks are all one ID)
There's no need for 2 sets of micro blocks. The ones I have will be gone. Also, it's been this way since mods first came around: updates are going to break worlds. There is absolutely no way to keep the stuff from rp2. However, I have no idea why it would be a 'deal breaker' since personally the deal breaker for me was to be stuck in an old version just for RP2 (FYI that was the whole inspiration for PR)
True, bundled cables turned out to be more similar than intended.
Those still look like redpower's and I guess it will be kept that way.
Note that there aren't that many ways of doing bundled cables if you want to keep the color scheme.
They do look similar, it's what I was going for. However, to make it somewhat clear that its not RP2, I have switched up the color locations of the wires. If I can find a way to make it look more original without messing with the feel, then ill change them. Others can help edit them as well btw.
Because each part is now treated as a separate tile entity, it is possible to have multiple types of wires in the same block space.
In the picture below, in one contained area, there is
a.) Alloy wire
b.) insulated wire
c.) AND gate.
The ability to add sever DIFFERENT types of wires to one block is a huge step up from RP2.
hmm, i don't know how to make the microblocks, all i do is put the stone and the saw in the crafting table just like the pic does, and nothing happen ._.
Awesome. I have always wanted this.
ForgeMultipart and Mr_TJP are awesome
PS: Does the versatility of forge multipart come at any performance price?
(the fact that users stuff way more things into one block thanks to it doesn't count)
Wait what? How can I install PR without microblocks
wait for the next version I guess.
Microblocks will be dropped in favour of the awesome ForgeMultipart
Well clean install and it still thinks microblocks is still there. How do I fix what doesn't exist anymore (micro has been taken out and even a fresh MC install)

As a side note, I'm getting a wiki together. I need an easy way to display recipes, sort of like they are here:
http://nemesis.evalq...r2/recipes.html
I code stuff.
Please ignore the name, I made this account when I was a naive lad.
Compare where you are to where you want to be and you'll get nowhere

Hey, I only stated what I say. I mean, I have nothing against the mod, why should I, I havent even tried it yet?
Ahh, Because the Bundeled cables on the first page looked very much like the redpower ones

What to do this or that?
