Everyone knows this situation, you want to add a new mod, but the ores doesn't generate in your already generated world. I was really sick about it, so i decided to make a mod which allows you to regenerate a specific mod.
How it works
The mod creates a config file. By default no mod is regenerated, because it isn't activated yet.
In the category "regeneration" there is a list of all WorldGenerators, you can disable and enable what ever you want. If you enable a mod's world generator in the config ALL ores and other world generation stuff (e. g. marble deposits from redpower) from that mod is regenerated in all chunks you visit.
This mod modifies base forge files. BACKUP YOUR WORLD BEFORE USING IT!. (Everything works fine, but you never know what could happen)
Ingame - Configuration
Use CraftingManager v0.7 and above for ingame configuration. Also it adds the ability to unregenerate mods.
If the modder supports this mod, you have the option to ungenerate chunks. World Generation Manager (WGM) searches for blocks of this mod and replaces them:
under y of 50 to stone
under y of 65 to dirt
above 64 to air
NOTE: please only ungenerate if it's necessary because it takes a lot of resources.
Modders
WGM adds to new methods to the IWorldGeneration interface:
public String getName()
{
return "Name of Your World Generator";
}
whats the config called because I don't see it in the config folder.
Yeah the config didn't generate so I can't make anything regenerate.
When you start minecraft it generates a config file in the config folder with the name "GenerationManager.cfg".
Sorry, i wasn't at home at the weekend.

What Screen shots????? This is a non visual mod.
Yeah i will think about giving a source code
Thanks a lot.
Sorry i didn't mean to come off sounding like an ass. I installed the mod in the jar but a config doesn't gererate.The game loads up and I can play. Blocks regenrate as I'm breaking them which is a problem.Maybe there might be a setting in the config to help with that but it doesn't generate for me.

Hm, there is really no GenerationManager.cfg in the config folder?
That's the reason i program it, i had that problem, too.
It would be useful for FeedTheBeast, because the could add new mods very easy.
I also think about making a mod, that add a block to all missing block.
That would have the effect that the blocks of a mod aren't be removed if it isn't installed.
I just noticed after all this time the config for this mod got generated to my desktop. I don't know why but it did. I gonna give the mod a try again to see what it does. Thanks for trying to help, I appriciate it.
I waited for something like this for a loooooong time

Hey, I'm working on bringing back Neo Melaphyre, under Project Melaphyre. This is going to be my best attempt at recreating the wonderous burning of stone for ore.
I don't got it pushed out to anything yet because I'm still in early stages.

Make it a...Forge CoreMod? Or are the base class edits just too much?

No none generates for me.
What mods do you have installed?
No PC windows 7. It doesn't matter because it seems like the mod works fine.
