Now that 1.9.4 servers wont allow connection with 1.9.0, I hope a 1.9.4 update isn't too far off.
1.9.2 didn't support 1.9 clients. It's Spigot that added support for 1.9 clients. Maybe they'll do 1.9.4, too. But I hear that they removed some packets so the ids all got passed around.
I did have a client side mod that allowed 1.9 clients to connect to vanilla 1.9.2 servers. The protocol change was small (one byte became an int). 1.9.2 to 1.9.4 is a lot more involved though
Why does this so-lightweight mod need its own installer and profile? In older versions, it was a drop-in like other mods.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
How can I de-install it? I want to download Optifine but I heard I need all other mods un-installed.Thanks
If you installed using the installer, essentially all you need to do is not use the liteloader profile. If you put it in your mods folder and forge is loading it, then just delete the jar.
With the new launcher you don't need to "uninstall" stuff really since you can always just make a new profile.
You still can. Just hit extract on the installer. Albeit you need Forge installed as well.
Thanks! Perhaps you should mention that on the thread OP, wiki, etc.

I deleted the folders of Liteloaders, but I can now re-install it while synchronising with Optifine if I want. Thanks for the help anyway though!
I very excited to get back to using my voxel map and I appreciate all the work that goes into updating mods. Thank you.
That said, I've been trying to get 1.9.4 installer to work and it wont. I've cleared out all previous versions of liteloader. I've downloaded the installer.exe, when I go to run it (with launcher closed) nothing happens. When I check under active processes, it shows the installer running but using 0%. If I try again, it just opens another process. Also, I cant 'end task' any of these. I have to reboot to get them to clear out. I'm sure you can tell, I'm not much of a techie but I remember installing it for 1.9 and it was easy. Side note, I tried to run the 1.9.0 installer and it works fine and pops right up.
Nothing really changed from 1.9 to 1.9.4 but it could be that your computer is hanging while trying to verify the file source. What you could try is after you download it but before you run it try the following (assuming windows):
Right click the installer file in windows explorer, choose Properties
At the bottom of the general tab it should say something like "This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer" and next to it should be an Unblock button
Click the Unblock button and click OK
If that fails, try just waiting a few minutes. Sometimes security software can spend a while checking a file in the background before allowing it to run, so just run it and leave it for a while to see if that's what's happening. I've seen this process take up to 5 minutes on some computers.
I've been having some trouble getting Liteloader to extend from Forge these last couple updates and thought I'd see what you recommend. The client instantly crashes upon launch, all mods removed.

Mumfrey you rock! Thanks for 1.9.4 update
You're very welcome, but don't forget to thank the MCP team for their tireless work as well
that was fast VoxelMap updated. Hopefully everything is working
Wooo!!!! I miss my minimap. Although I wish the map was larger for the bigger monitors.

Hey Mumfrey,

Liteloader: liteloader-installer-1.9.4-00-SNAPSHOT.exe
Forge: 12.16.1.1908 (1.9.4)
Crash Log: http://pastebin.com/A6E8mJL8
Thanks!
I just tried it with the most recent build and it launches fine. Maybe there was a problem with that build?
EDIT: I just tried it with 1908 and it crashed, so yeah. Update to 1909.
How do I install it into a MultiMC instance?
Up to 1.8 should now be supported directly within multimc
Yeah, but I'm trying to install it for 1.9.4.
