Does this work for 1.5.2 or do I have to reinstall it. FML never finishes "setting up my minecraft environment". I'm asking cause it was a lot of work to install and 1.5.2 is just bug fixes.
A few bugs:
Chest disappear before fully out of view.
At some point(not sure when) items became un-stack-able for all on the server.
Also, when breaking some things like chests in creative mode (maybe?) instead of little blocks you get little blocks of what appears to be code when it breaks
Things that need changed:
Blocking a teleport to people i na dung. If i'm op on the server, i need to be able to go any where any one is. IF i leave the dung, and a party member is still inside, i should beable to go back in. It's a little cheep you cant if your trying to store stuff in chests. an ender chest only stores so much.
And the last one ,a command or something, that lets you reset how many times you been in a dung. Maybe increase the 3 leave limit up to 5 or 10. Would be nice.
Thats all, still enjoying the hell out of the mod though
Anyone else getting several lag spikes while in the Aether itself?
I only installed optifine and rei's minimap with this, but when I'm in the Aether, every 3 seconds I get a lag spike.

The chest bug is a feature in forge, Tile Entities are not rendered when out of view or close to out of view to decrease lag
Just thought I would throw a "bug" at you, though in some sense I guess it really isn't a bug either, but still something you should fix
In short, localhost servers are thought of as singleplayer. While single player now basically sets you up on a localhost server, there is no reason you cannot set up a multiplayer server and connect to it on the localhost as I have done (i.e. using my PC to run both server and client). Since the game thinks I am in single player, it replaces my social menu with "Forever Alone", which, while amusing, is understandably frustrating. You should probably just remove that in favor of letting the social aspect always be accessible so that this issue can be avoided and since it is not necessary. At least as far as I know the only reason it is there is for lulz, not because accessing the social menu in single player would cause any problems. Thus as I said I believe you can fix this by just not having the "Forever Alone" joke thing go on when the game thinks you are in single player and simply allow anyone to access the social menu (and thus also allow players running server and client on the same PC to access the menu).
Workaround:
A: Get another PC to host your server on (not 100% sure, theoretically my Virtual Machine is another computer on the network, yet at the same time it is not). B: Run the server on a Linux Virtual Machine with bridge network adapter.
EDIT: Apparently I was a bit wrong about the reasons on this issue. It may be the same problem but extended to a LAN setting whereby it still thinks I am in singleplayer. I have connected to a different ip address than my own (internally) and still get the single player message. This continues to be quite frustrating. I will try other possible workarounds to this, but I still think you should just remove the "Forever Alone" message entirely, it serves no purpose and is just getting in the way at this point.
Just thought of something that could be added into the mod: Instead of water being what helps create the aether portal, how about something else from the nether? Water and glowstone is very easy to get if you hve access to the sources. How about something made with ghast tears?

Would simply connecting to the server with your public IP address work? I didn't test it but that seems like the easiest way.
Also, we seriously need somewhere to post bug reports.
Nothing will ever get seen if it's in this forum topic.
I'm only able to get into very few official servers, the others I loose connection to. Are they down for maintenance or is my connection bad?
I don't know,my problem with the official servers is the lag, entities don't move, break blocks and the drop takes forever, and the spawns are either unofficial or griefed with no portal in sight.
Anyone capable of telling me why only two people can queue in a dungeon? We had 3 people in the party, when we all went into a dungeon we all accepted but it only say 1/3.
Any help here? We restarted the server, we relogged, everything. It still only says 1/3 queued every time.

Same problem here. I was able to get in earlier today though. Going solo in those things is crazy.

Vanilla's lighting system doesn't like floating islands, the Aether team is trying to get around this.
Hey, someone might of said this (but IDK). Can you have the portal do that slow wobble screen affect when you are in the portal? I don't like the automatic world change when you accidently walk into the portal. BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS FINE!!! its awesome!

I had the same thought myself, doesn't seem to work though. I believe the problem with this plan is that connecting via external IP address is only giving you the illusion of doing such a thing. It may go out and ask for access that way, but in doing so it gets forwarded to an internal IP address, and I think the computer recognizes this and then connects to it directly.
Either that or the fact my computer recognizes that the server is being run on a virtual machine on my own pc and is somehow smart enough to not even bother with the network connection there... But that starts to get a bit out of line with what my PC and the VM should know about each other ._.
No, this is incompatable with 1.5.2, use 1.5.1.
Don't start with the update spam, just play it on 1.5.1 and be patient like you guys were before the release...
