I don't see how the mod has held up a fanbase. For one you(tihyo) won't update the mod because of a change in combat(for the better, The only thing the old combat system had was over repetitive spam hitting.)?? Stubborn. After two years you come out with a single Godzilla model? Two. Years. While i know modelling is hard(been there done that) that's a very long amount of time, even if the model is semi decent. (the fact that the general texture is either 16x or 32x and then basically 510x eyes and teeth is overused and only causes a major lagfest, especially on such a huge model, it'll surely crash peoples games all the time, especially when people have lower end computers(Luckily i am currently using a gaming computer, so if for some reason i did ever use this mod again it'd be relatively fine)) Secondly, the only reason this mod is at all relevant currently is 1. youtube reviews and such 2. the team saying every 5 months that "oh, no, This mod is still alive, just slow progress.." 3. Giant mobs that are powerful. Lastly, This mod is basically dead. From what i know there is basically no coding done for the overhaul after Two? years and very few models. Either actually do something or just say the mod is either , currently paused or dead, simple. If alive just show some status other than a model. The mod had some potential but it seems most if not all hope is lost for this mod.

1. Tihyo is busy working on SUM(Rewriting the mod again) and the upcoming SW mod

3. There are 8 models that are finished

Well, good luck defeating a 100 meter tall radioactive behemoth with sword cooldowns while you avoid respawning 500 times at least. Not that means I don't like the Combat update, it's just kinda uncompatible with the mod.
Also, I think 1.9 put a health limit on mobs or something. That would completely RUIN the feel of the mod, since aforementioned radioactive behemoths having less than 1000 health (a total of 500 hearts) just makes no sense (although I think there is a way to surpass that limit)
Lastly, versions since 1.8 have experience a command overhaul, and many people have started making "vanilla mods" with commandblocks, function packs and, occasionally, resourcepacks. It's not easy, but way less complex than actual modding, I guess. Doesn't have that good results, but it's decent. And it's at least 99% vanilla. It's just a personal opinion, but I see mods from 1.10 and onwards pointless, since you are altering the code of Minecraft with the risk of crashing the game when you could just combine commands and resourcepacks to use already present content and "upgrade" it, having lagspikes and low framerate as the maximum risk (well, it could crash as well, but I think it's less common).

Do you think modding is easy? I haven't personally experienced that, and I have to admit this mod looks simple in comparision to others I've seen (Thaumcraft and GalactiCraft, for example), but it's not as easy as just painting blocks and writing random stuff. Even if it was that easy, modders aren't machines specifically designed to make modifications and publish them on forums. They are PEOPLE. People with their own personal lives. People with feelings. People with other people to care about. Don't expect them to stay their whole life in front of their computers making this content to the point they marry them, losing an eye and their skin becoming green as a consequence.
Just an update for everyone here. I aim to get an update out sometime this year. For those of you who are whining about the progress, tuff. Most of the models are being redone, including Godzilla. It would have been out last year but the new Godzilla model ProvenBeat was working on, and practically done with, got wiped from his computer before he could send it due to his computer contracting a virus (and you can't have a Godzilla mod without Godzilla). That being said, he is currently having to rework the entire model, which with the new skeletal system took a few months to make to begin with, so that's why nothing has been shown. Once Godzilla is modeled, the mod will be introduced as a pack in the Legends Mod, like all the other mods we are working on (for more info on what I mean I'd refer to my YouTube channel). I can understand the fustrutions some of you have. It has been a long time, but trust me when I say we are trying our best. We have other mods to all work on simultaneously and lives outside of making Minecraft mods. This mod will be completely redone as a pack for the Legends Mod so the contents of it will change (practically like a new mod). I just ask of you, please don't harass the dev team because they are not machines. They receive no monetary insentive to do this and are doing for the good of the community and by their own choice. Thank you all who have been patient. Your support will hopefully be merited when this mod has its new facelift release.

Thank you, you brang up another point. The mod is OP and tihyo wants other mods to fit in with it instead of changing his mod to fit in. Just look at AvP. This is like orespawn but with a better developer(no, that doesn't mean tihyo isn't stubborn, CallMeDanger was basically as bad as kash in some ways.) He wanted to be in control of AvP so then he could balance the mod around his *Unbalanced* mods.He doesn't want to follow along with what is considered the norm of mob mods, he's like a rebellious teen in a mall.

Ever considered adding Bagan? He WAS gonna be in several movies but never got into production due to budget. Bagan was supposed to be in Godzilla vs Mothra but was replaced with Battra
Once we're done with all the main movie kaijus we'll start adding the scrapped/unused ones as well

So, you actually expect him to be a programmed robot. Again, Tihyo is a person. He has it's own personality and ideology, and we should respect it. Although I guess you are partially right: he shouldn't try to control other mods. (Btw, what proof do you have that he actually did that?) But otherwise, it's OK. Users aren't enforced to install both mods in their game. There are people who enjoy OP mods, and people who enjoy balanced ones (and maybe people who enjoy both, who knows). It's not a matter of mods fitting each other: rather if they fit with Minecraft. And despite Godzilla Mod doesn't really fit, AvP doesn't fit that much either (like, mobs bleed when a Chestburster is coming out of their body, but not when you attack them for some reason. Also, non-block-shaped blocks). In fact, few mods actually fit that well with Minecraft. But if there are users who like those mods, then it's OK. And by that logic of "mobs in mods must fit each other or else they suck", then we wouldn't have great mods like Ice and Fire, Monster Hunter Frontier Craft, Dungeon Mobs, The Betweenlands, Mo' Creatures and AvP itself. Some of them partially fit, and some of them just don't. But that's how it works: every mod is different, it's up to the developers to decide what they want to do with their mod, and it's up to the player to decide what mods does he/she like. And if there are people who like the Godzilla Mod, you should respect it. And if Tihyo wants his mod to be different, then you should respect it. Dislike it as much as you want, but respect the ones who do like it.

I'm fine with an Op mod. I'm not with a mod that tries to rebalance other mods around itself, Ask ri5 or cyber. I never asked hm to be a robot who only programs, either lmao. Me saying he shouldn't want other mods to be rebalanced around his OP mod means i'm saying he should be a lifeless robot who only codes? Kay hun.

Can you explain to me how I'm trying to rebalance other mods around this one? What mechanic have I added that forces other mods to bend to this one's will? Literally all this mod contains is giant powerful monsters. If your point is they should be balanced with other mobs in other mods then you truly don't understand the creatures Toho has created. If Godzilla did anything else than 1 shot a creature like an Xeno, that would be a disservice to the Kaiju. As stated previously, there will be new mechanics that will allow for better balancing within the Legends Mod (so characters like Superman don't get one shot), but as far as your argument goes, I can't see any validity to your statement. It's naive to think that when creating these monsters I'm like, "Ooh, let's make it so Godzilla can kill this creature in this other mod." No, the mod is meant to work against itself. You're actually calling for me to rebalance this mod around others by trying to make these creatures conform to the stats of others. Who's rebalancing now?

WOOOO Bagan! Heisai godzilla is still my #1 fave. Bagan just has me interested. At least we'll see the fight we never got but in block form
Im curious. Are you gonna have different era Godzilla's like Showa for example. Or you sticking with the Heisai Godzilla? (Which is in my opinion the best Godzilla)

Im watching a movie right now and it made me think of something. Every thought about making it so that Godzilla attacks villages or any structures? To make him act lke the force of nature that he is.
Another thing I want to ask is will there be a config thatll let you turn off spawns of specific monsters? I want to make a youtube series and I cant have two types of the same Godzilla walking around

I don't know if it's possible to do the structure attack thing (unless he is coded so he attacks all mobs, damaging structures as well). Anyway, I don't think it's a good idea, since there are no structures in the game that fit the theme (Godzilla destroys tall city buildings and nuclear factories, not small towns and ancient temples), and it makes Godzilla even more antagonistic to the point he looks evil when he isn't.
As for the config thing, there are many mods that allow you to customize the spawning of mobs, allowing you to disable them (I think). It could be added, however.
No creo que lo añadan, pero es posible. Como he dicho antes, hay mods que permiten hacer que ciertos mobs no aparezcan en el mundo, así que (si se añaden las cosas del Creepypasta) puedes usarlo para que no te encuentres a esos monstruos.

Me: I don't think they are adding it, but it's possible. As I said before, there are mods that allow you to prevent certain mobs from spawning in the world, so (in case the Creepypasta stuff is added) you can use it to not stumble across those monsters.

I think we should leave that to the developers to answer my question. At least have him capable of tramping buildings cause he does that to smaller buildings he just walks right through them. He IS a force of nature. He doesnt need to attack buildings on sight besides this is minecraft unless someone builds big structures there wont be any. But he should still be the force of nature that he is and cause mayhem if he's passing through.
No wonder this took 2 years to make... THIS is heaven fuel (although a bit non-vanilla).
I have a doubt: are you also adding other kaiju unrelated to Godilla? Like Guilala, Maguma and Gappa, for example.
Also, will you be adding Shockirus? I think it would be neat if Godzilla spawned some sort of Shockirus minions. Just an idea.

There will be other Gojis.
O-K this mod just got a whole lot more interesting
Im watching a movie right now and it made me think of something. Every thought about making it so that Godzilla attacks villages or any structures? To make him act lke the force of nature that he is.
Another thing I want to ask is will there be a config thatll let you turn off spawns of specific monsters? I want to make a youtube series and I cant have two types of the same Godzilla walking around
porfavor no metas el creppypasta de nes godzilla

DefGama: Please, don't add the NES Godzilla Creepypasta
