I like this mod.But yes,you need to use that ore dictionary thing.Because it is very important .And can you update this 1.8?(Well,i think theres no forge or modloader for 1.8 :/) And its hard to make 1.8 because 1.8 changes almost EVERY CODE in minecraft which sucks.
But whatever,i like this mod!Gonna try it.RIGHT NOW.Hope you can update the mod.
First i saw the mod i was like Lets take a look. And Then i came and read all comments. And in the last comment. It says "1 days ago"And i was like Wow!This mod is still not outdated!Im so happy now...That you can do even more stuff!I'm looking for ideas right now.I hope you will add if you like it.
Edit : I have a idea now:Make infinite bows better.I mean you need one arrow when using infinite bows which is stupid. If possible, fix that.PLEASE

There's already a mod for the arrow thing.
Btw, I'd recommend NOT updating to 1.8, it's extremely hard to render stuff. Also, there's nothing useful added in it, it's not really faster or more stable.

Eh,actually, youre right.I found that Infinite Bow Fix mod lol
Updating to 1.8 is hard as hell,i know.Everything is changed. So youre right. And 1.8 kills my pc its drops to 25 fps because my pc has only 2 gb ram on it.
It would be an awesome mod but since you can't disable it partially i can't use it. you should add toggles so you can turn features on and off, in a big mod not everyone is going to like everything, but if they could toggle off what they dont like, then it wouldn't be a problem.
I've read your feedback and listened. Version 2.7.1 (not 2.7_1) will contain configuration file and also, bug fixes for netherwood leaves not dropping saplings. Also, the saplings and apples drop rate will be affected by Fortune.
Did you know that the Netherwood leaves dropping apples was originally a bug but I've decided to kept it and turned it into feature. Besides, it looks cool.
The netherwood sapling code extends BlockBush and uses similar code.
There will be a new configuration file. There will be 6 variables.
hardcoreRecipes: Changes some recipes to make it challenging. (Disables recipes that contains rotten flesh as alternative to leather, doesn't disable armor recipe. Also, increases strings needed to craft a cobweb from 5 to 9.) sillyRecipes: Enables silly recipes such as crafting bedrock using a bed and a stone. Disabled by default because it's silly. salvageRecipes: Enables recipes that let you dismantle objects like doors, chests, and fences back into resources. Enabled by default. overrideMobDrops: Override mob drops for spiders, squids, and sheep. Enabled by default. endermanBlockDrops: Makes Endermen drop carried blocks on death. Enabled by default. mobHeadDrops: Makes mob heads rarely drop from skeletons, creepers, and zombies. Chance is 2.5% plus 0.5% per Looting. Enabled by default.
Also, the mod already includes ore dictionary in the source code.
I'd gladly appreciate it if you can find a fix for fences not connecting to nether brick fence gates and the netherwood chest when held still uses default chest textures. The source code for the mod is actually available on GitHub. I couldn't find a way to fix these bugs.
The only way to get it is from a silly recipe involving a bed and a stone to craft a bedrock. Get it? 'Bed' and 'Rock'.
It's disabled by default, but you can enable 'Silly Recipes' from configuration. The reason it's off by default is that it's silly and wouldn't make sense.
Bedrock tools are intended for use by server ops and creative users. I've only added it for the variety.
Also, to make myself clear, there will NEVER be 1.7.2 version.

You can turn off the uncrafting recipes. There is a configuration introduced in version 2.7.1 of the mod. I recommend using version 2.7.2 of the mod (the latest).
I apologize about the lack of new posts. It's just that ever since the acquisition, Minecraft updates are slow.
There won't be new updates to this mod for a while, at least until Minecraft 1.8.2 comes out and Forge gets updated for 1.8.2 too.
I also had some bad news. My laptop suffered hard drive failure about a month ago. I've got the new hard drive installed but the source code is lost. Fortunately, my mod is open source and uploaded to Github so I should be able to eventually set up development workspace.
Just here to say I LOVE your mod, and it's REALLY useful.
Also, I have a mod that allows me to collect bedrock... Because of this, the bedrock tools and armor are a bit exploitable. But it's still REALLY hard to get, so...
Make sure you have version 2.7.2 of the mod for Minecraft 1.7.10. The name of the configuration file is bettercraft.cfg. On mods, it will still show as 2.7 but on version it will show Version: 2.7 (2.7.2). If it matches then you have the latest version.

The config file isn't available for 1.6.4.
Oh... I kinda made myself a mod pack for 1.6.4 that is having issues with ID conflicts from your mod. Looks like I kinda can't use your mod then since I can't resolve the ID conflict. It's having ID conflicts with Oceancraft, which, conveniently, also doesn't have a config file. I also can't update the pack to use your mod because not all of the mods in my pack are are at 1.7.10 yet. Sorry :/
And for BetterFoliage, I'll see what I can do.

I've fixed some things and I've added 1 new block: Netherwood Crafting Table.
I've fixed the missing Wither bone armour textures. There are also plenty of changes. Enjoy!
This mod doesn't add uncrafting table.
Once you set it to false, restart Minecraft.
Is netherwood saplings are fixed?Or can you* craft it or something?
