Regarding to minecraft versions i could only talk for me. but i guess many people will fit in this description:
I play several versions at same time. And some core/base mods in specifics modpacks (in specific versions) indeed not update. Thats why me, and some other people like to have all side mods up to date with newer/nicer features in old versions, until some of the base/core mods update to a new minecraft version.
New version(3.8.0) of Sophisticated Wolves mod for Minecraft 1.11.2 was released.
Changes:
Add dog whistle. It summons all dogs in range of 35 blocks to the player, and discard all dogs' tasks(you should sneaking to summon sitting dogs)
Add Dog Bowl, which can be used by dogs to feed themselves
Dogs can eat food from the ground
P.S. "download widget" will be updated later(it doesn't depends on me) so be sure you download 3.8.0 version of the mod(you can click on "View all downloads" to chose version)
Sorry, but unfortunately I havn't got enouth time for backports now. I'm still working on update for my "main mod", this is more priority task for me. Futhermore there are few small additions to the Sophisticated wolves mod I'm planning to do first.
Just wondering, why people still playing on 1.7 ? A lot of mods already updated for 1.8/1.9/1.10/1.11. I know that some mods were abandoned and will not be updated, some of them still in progress(like buildcraft), but anyway 1.11 is rather playable now.
What is your "main mod"?
I doubt I'll go back to 1.7.10, but there's still many more major mods updated to 1.10.2 than to 1.11. If only Mojang would create the API they promised us four years ago... or was it six?
Gravestone mod (But information on this page mostly outdated - Minecraft forum's editor rather uncomfortable for large posts, so I prefer to use my own site (some features of the mod still not described on it)
Ah! I haven't used that but my daughter has. Is there documentation on what is added by Gravestone-Extended?
"Grave mod" only adds gravestone blocks and generate it at death. All another content contains in "Extended mod", even few additional gravestone features such as mob spawn and fog. So all information about any not gravestone blocks, items structures or mobs - belongs to "extended mod".
New version(3.9.0) of Sophisticated Wolves mod for Minecraft 1.11.2 was released.
Changes:
Config for dogs auto eating(click on wolf with bone in hand)
Pets will not lose its name when released from pet carrier
Wild wolves will not eat food from ground and bowls
P.S. "download widget" will be updated later(it doesn't depends on me) so be sure you download 3.9.0 version of the mod(you can click on "View all downloads" to chose version)
DANG! the features impressed me! I didn't realize how truly "Sophisticated" the wolves would become until I did this showcase! Super nice pathing especially! NICE WORK SIR!
Have you ceased development for the 1.10.2 version? The features in the newer version look really neat, I hate to be missing them.
Also, why does the 3.6.5 version of the mod display as 3.6.1 in the Mod Options menu?
I'm not sure about it. I haven't got too much time now, so I prefer to spent it on new features. May be I'll backport all of them to 1.10.2, but only after end of the current development stage(I'm working on a dog kennel and new veterinarian villager), and update for 1.12.
As for 3.6.1 - it looks like I forget to change version in the mod.
I see. Well, regardless, excellent work on this mod. Those of us without any modding expertise really appreciate the time and skill you guys put into these mods. Do you do the models yourself?
I've got to say, if you can ever get this feature-complete for 1.10.2, this will absolutely be a must-include mod for any packs I play.
Can you get the sophisticated wolves mod for pocket edition? And if you can, how do I get the mods folder
Sorry, but I'm not planning to port it for pocket edition. But I haven't got any problem(not sure about "metroidfood[/b]") if someone decided to do it.

Yes, I made those models by self. I used "Blockbench" for it - this is incredibly handy tool for model creation.
Thank you for a good words.
Is there any way to adjust health of the wolves? I am using them on Terrafirmacraft which has wolves default health at 2000, so with Sophisticated Wolves having a health of 20 things like fire kills them before they can even shake it off which is rather annoying if they fight mobs during the day.

I don't know a way to do it. But I can add such configuration option in next update.
thanks for your answer.

Please add the setting disabling options Better collision. The physical effect is not very pleasing. Thank you!
