I've confirmed that Natura is leaving me unable to go to the End - perhaps in combination with other mod, but the single mod I know of that makes the game hang is Natura. However, as previously mentioned, there's no crash, no activity of any kind in the console. If there's a way I can force Minecraft to spit out something about what it's doing, I'd do so gladly, but as it is I have no meaningful logs to submit - I just know that when I go through an End portal, Minecraft sits at "Downloading terrain" until I close it. The Nether has no problems (aside from the lack of bedrock ceiling and the Ars Magica world gen - but no showstoppers, anyway) and the Twilight Forest seems to work fine, albeit with something of a delay the first time I go there in TF's case; but while I could wait that one out, the same didn't work when trying to go to the End.
suggestion: would it be possible that the ash clouds cause suffocation (as if you were underwater) and the sulphur clouds damage you (like suffocation but it begins instantly)
I am highly amused that if you are using Natura with Galacticraft, the rocket can actually crash into the cloud spawns, so it actually gives you a reason to have to use the steering on the rocket instead of just shooting straight up.
Hey, mDiyo. The Seasons Mod now has a basic API for getting the season, temperature, and moisture of an area. It's really basic still, but it works with and without my mod. Feel free to use it however you want, in part or in whole. http://www.mediafire.com/download/qv1l659j2cw7c4b/Seasons_Mod_API_v0.1.zip
(By really basic, I mean really basic.)

If I said I'd do something and haven't, please remind me; I didn't lie, I just forgot.

Seems there's an incompatibility between ars magica and this mod concerning the end which is causing the client to hang on generating terrain or causing crashes within a few seconds of being in the end.
I'll tell the ars magica guy.
EDIT: It turns out it's just ars magica causing the issue, it also seems that 5.52.003 does infact solve the problem.
EDIT2: Nevermind, it seems it wouldn't crash/hang if you were already in the end but if trying to actually generate the end it would crash and spit out this error log: http://pastebin.com/ygvF4pmY
At least it actually gave an error log this time, but looking at the log it seems there's a direct incompatibility with ars magica attempting to generate its structures and natura attempting to generate clouds, I think it could be that ars magica is trying to generate its structures on natura clouds as it recognizes them as a valid spawning location and this ends up causing the structure to try and generate past the world bounds.
This is just a personal assumption though and could be and probably is entirely incorrect.

Hi, just wanted to let you know that I broke a willow tree's leaves to get a sapling and it gave me darkwood saplings instead of willow saplings. Is this supposed to happen? I am playing the 1.5.2 FTB beta pack.
mysteriono: I'm looking into it. In the end I may just remove end generation.
MadMax7000: Don't use ID resolver. For anything.
DaRkMaStEd: Indeed it was. I still miss playing with those mods, but complaining about nostalgia won't get us new things.
ObsidianWalker: There will be something like the Tinker books for Natura.
Epidemia78: As if upside down trees are terrible... ^^;;
NJM1564: They should still be translucent. They are for me; OptiFine may be causing you problems.
Corprall: It's a known bug. I'm not sure how to handle it.
Not using optifine. Settings are all on high. Using the version in the FTB 1.5 beta pack.
Direwolf20 mentioned in one of his videos that he had the same problem.
I give up on this shyte....Natura simply can't be made to work with Treecapitator. I tried every frigging thing.
I was thinking the same as you. I finally got it to work, though.
Here's the config file for the Beta 4 version of Natura with all of the trees working: http://pastebin.com/84ZVDnYK
Also has some extra axe IDs that you can just ignore. They're from Tinker's Construct and Extended Workbench.

There have all ways been mushrooms in the nether why not have trees?
Awesome! ty
