This API isn't very extensive ATM. At the moment, it allows one to add custom item tooltips, similar to enchanting. Feel free to request a method, I'll try to implement it.
Usage (Modders)
Simply add this method for all items you want to have tooltips, or create a method to compress it down:
/** Adds a tooltip to the ItemStack class Args: ItemID, Tooltip */
CephAPI.addItemTooltip(this.itemName.itemID, "Tooltip here");
and updating it every tick, it will return which item the mouse/cursor is currently pointing over.
Modders Note: This mod will not work with any other mods in the CoreMods folder. It needs to be initialized first in order to work properly. It also does not function with jar mods. The mods utilizing this API must be in the mods folder in order to work.
Install instructions: It goes into the coremods folder!
1. Force update minecraft (recommended, but optional)
2. Download MCForge API and CephAPI from their links.
3. Open minecraft.jar with an archive program.
4. Install forge
5. Remove META-INF
6. Put CephAPI-v1.x.x-x.x.jar into the coremods folder
