From what I've been able to find out it's the village structures that are causing issues. Using NBTExplorer to remove them from a village, and turning the features off in the config, was enough to fix the world.
Tested structures was Undertaker and Memorial. But thinking it might be an issue with all your village structures.
i thought this was a cool and usefulmod.... until i died next to one of my chests and the gravestone erased it

Does this mod place your inventory items in a chest under the Gravestone ?
Im looking for a mod that is cool like this, but that saves your complete inventory when you die.
If not, it would be nice to have a full chest burried 1 block underground under your gravestone, with a full body skellie inside of it, that would contain your inventory items when you die.

There is an enchant from Ars Magica 2 called SoulBound. It can be applied to your personal spell book and various other things. All items enchanted with this will remain in inventory upon death. Gravestones overrides it completely... It there a way to get around this? The same thing happens with the Charms of Keeping from the Twilight Forest mod.
In terms of Twilight Forest being explicitly being listed as a compatability.
What happens if I die with a Twilight Forest lucky charm? Does my inventory go into the gravestone, follow me (As per the TF charm of keeping mechanics) when I respawn, or get duplicated in both places?

I am normally a proponent of the try-it-and-see approach to getting questions like this answered. But in this case, without an explicit reply, it would not be clear if what was observed was either the desired behaviour or, indeed, would be consistent, because two mods competing for a players inventory upon death just seems prone to race conditions
Is it possible to add more mob graves? This question is mostly because I get attached to non-vanilla mobs (if you've heard of Little Maid Mod, then you know what I mean) and whenever they die, I tend to make graves for then but If I was REALLY attached to them I would want to do what you've done with the dogs and cats, and that is an actual representation of the mob itself. Unfortunately, the only idea I have to implement this is to somehow render certain mobs (tameable ones or named mobs) on top of a premade grave pedestal and put an overlay texture on the mob being made into the grave. If that doesn't work then maybe just render their regular model on top in gray-scale. Also you could some tag what mobs are able to turn into a grave with "tamed" or "named" to identify them.
Also, simply ruined/ ghost towns/villages. They would be buildings that are broken and may contain loot and mob spawners.
Lastly, if a pickaxe grave could be added for the "Miner Graves." It would look like a pickaxe with one side of the head in the ground.
Hey, don't know if anyone else is having this problem but is anyone else having an issue where gravestones turn into vortexes of death? I made a new world and spawned near a village and watched as a villager hovered in the air taking damage and died, I then watched a second villager die in the same manner. When I went to investigate I expected to find a cactus or some such that Villagers tend to die on but only found two gravestones stacked on top of each other. When I got within 4 blocks of it I got raised into the air and took repeated fall damage without touching the ground. This occurred twice as I thought the first death was a fluke of some kind. Is this an intended feature or one of the weirdest bugs ever?

Big thank you NightKosh for the addition to turn off Night Stone in the .cfg file as well as the message addition when you trip the trap.
I personally believe this was a great mod in the past and is just even that much stronger for these additions.

Ok I checked and it is your mod causing this. I think this may have something to do with either another mod or with the generation of graves or the catacombs.

From what I've been able to find out it's the village structures that are causing issues. Using NBTExplorer to remove them from a village, and turning the features off in the config, was enough to fix the world.
Tested structures was Undertaker and Memorial. But thinking it might be an issue with all your village structures.
You can add it to a current world. But structures will generate only in new, unexplored places.

Does this mod place your inventory items in a chest under the Gravestone ?
Im looking for a mod that is cool like this, but that saves your complete inventory when you die.
If not, it would be nice to have a full chest burried 1 block underground under your gravestone, with a full body skellie inside of it, that would contain your inventory items when you die.

Scanned this thread for a bit and did not come across the issue that I'm about to post. If this was posted earlier, I apologize. I must have missed it.
There is an enchant from Ars Magica 2 called SoulBound. It can be applied to your personal spell book and various other things. All items enchanted with this will remain in inventory upon death. Gravestones overrides it completely... It there a way to get around this? The same thing happens with the Charms of Keeping from the Twilight Forest mod.
What happens if I die with a Twilight Forest lucky charm? Does my inventory go into the gravestone, follow me (As per the TF charm of keeping mechanics) when I respawn, or get duplicated in both places?

Also, simply ruined/ ghost towns/villages. They would be buildings that are broken and may contain loot and mob spawners.
Lastly, if a pickaxe grave could be added for the "Miner Graves." It would look like a pickaxe with one side of the head in the ground.
