No disrespect.....but no idea why you would consider this a WIP....It's just a bug fix version for an already existing mod that the mod author didn't have time to work on anymore. This isn't any different than other mods such as Forestry, Extra Bees, RP2, EE3...etc...that issue pre-releases...some for months before their official release. WIP are mods that aren't even to the point where they can be played. I think you should put this back in the mods section.

If you read the OP it tells you what this version does...and what some of the plans for future versions are. This version is simply a pre-release to fix bugs that existed in the old version and fixed code.

Well...they would be in unexplored areas of your map but other than that it would be like any mod that adds ore generation...etc. An option would be to use Mystcraft ages....as it would show up in them. Another option would be to use a world edit program and create "new" areas that would reload. We do this on our server...except we use Mace cities and save them (which is were our bases are at) and reload the rest of the world.

@the team....are you going to use the same Github repository or create a new one?

Wait, so make a folder named Fossil in the mods folder and put all of the contents of the .zip in that folder? When I downloaded the normal version I could just put the .zip in the mods folder and it worked fine.

I'd like to point out that the title contains the words "build 0001" and "pre-release" . Pre-release generally means "before release" which then classifies it as work in progress, which I then moved the topic accordingly.

Regardless, it's being handled in a pm, thanks for your concern

yes this is true, we have a few things preventing it at the moment to load from a zip file....so just unzip and use the file path we discussed.

Right, the zip is already packaged with the correct folder structure, just extract to your mods folder, no need to create any additional folders.

I believe they use the repop option...but I would need to check with the guys that run our server to be sure.

No..this release is just a bug fix. The time machine hadn't been implemented in the old version....they have said things like that will be added in future releases.

It only has a gui for now, it was an unfinished item in the original mod from Flamm, and as Annysia said, we are discussing possibilities for it..

Our server is starting a new world and we had it up and running waiting for this mod. When it was installed we got this error: http://pastebin.com/9h9zwfLY. When we updated the Mob Spawn Controls Mod to it's beta version and it seems to work ok...but we didn't want to have to use the beta version of that since it doesn't have a GUI yet.

Also, one person tried it in ssp with the same set up and said that vats were appearing as diamonds blocks. No, ID conflicts were showing up. And some general feedback...that same person is exploring an SSP world to see if all the mods are working together and so is flying around in creative mode...and has 4 ships close together: http://imgur.com/KbU0WEJ While I love the ships...they may be closer together than what you are intending them to be.

In my world I actually found 2 ships rammed into each other so they were connecting. Also are the ships eventually going to just rest on the water instead of on a huge giant glob of water above all the other water?

were the dilophasaurs supposed to have been renamed Utahraptors? If so, I think they were better as they were, Utahraptors are much bigger.

You can use mcedit to DELETE regions, just don't EDIT chunks with mod blocks. And as always, make backups.

Yes we know that they sometimes, more than we had hoped, spawn too close together

Just to let you know I found a glitch where the Tyrannosaurus eggs will not hatch, the progress just stays at 0. Also aren't the pterosaurs supposed to be ridable?

also do the dinos grow because my triceratops is still o days old D:

Nevermind its 1 day old now but it stills looks like a baby i thought they change model when they are 1 day old
