Thank you for this mod. Much like you, the only part of factorization that my friends and I like is the barrels.
I wish I could say I was surprised by all the hate in the community that I've read here, but I'm not. I can't tell if the FTB people are the cause of all the hate or if all the hate was the cause of the creation of FTB, but I'm certain they're correlated. I swear, these people are so brainwashed by the MPAA and other copyright pusher's propaganda they might as well work for them. To mods which aren't opensource, you, I'm copying it and using it in my public modpack anyway. lol
Thank you so much for making it opensource so that it may live forever. You are among the very few mod authors in this community that I consider a hero. Right up there with PowerCrystals, Immibis, etc.

I am using BuildCraft 3.4.3.So, I think that I do not have a problem in particular.

Honestly, I'm not really sure because I couldn't get logistic pipes to work, so I couldn't test it.
After testing version 1.3 of my mod with the old buildcraft that used to screw with everything, my fix works. But still I'm not sure that it will work with logistic pipes but I'm a lot more confident about it.
I hope you will consider adding names as well as icons of the content inside the barrel, and one very very important thing that would make this way better than the factorization barrels; allow pipes to take items out AND in from the top AND bottom of the barrel. please please please.
The thing is, barrels don't have a GUI. Its all about clicking certain ways. To put items into a barrel, right click with the item you want to put in. And left click to take items out. There are other features that you can look at in the features tab in the original post.
i need you to please do me a favor and make them able to roll on side when pushed steel barrels and exploding barrels that doesn't break blocks for half-life map i'm trying to make. good idea but why would anyone give a s*!@ if or if not he asked for permission to use factorization.
and if your willing could you make a chute for deleting movable items like gravel or portal cubes (mod for mc).

The point of this is to make it a little more Balanced and have some Cool features with the Balance.
Barrels in General:
-If they dont work, Pipes should work on them.
-Redstone Pulse should Popout a Pre-defined amount of Blocks from a Selected Side.
-Barrels have a GUI if you press Shift+Right Click that allows you to Pick with side you want items to come out and You can select the amount that it Pops Out.
Ender Barrel:
All Ender Barrels with for Example Sticks will be counted as One Inventory
(This inventory is not Expanded).

on Another Quantum Barrel and they will work like Ender Barrels.

For all the people requesting things I should add to the mod: For most of you, you don't have a chance for me to add anything. I like to make really simple bug-free mods and release them with the src. So people can edit the mod themselves.
AKA: BIG bug fax update coming soon (maybe tomorrow) I hope to get all the bugs fixed. Right now, I re-wrote the code that handles crafting recipes (that means shapeless recipes now work, you can make recipes smaller then 3x3, and its faster) I'v also fixed some funky lighting stuff and flickering with the rendering. Barrels no longer are translucent as I was able to understand how minecraft lighting works. Right now, I'm re-writing the item handling (how barrels interact with buildcraft pipes, redpower tubes. ect...)
Since I don't know how to make polls, I'll ask here:
Should I keep the interaction the same (items in from top, items out from bottom)
Sould it act like a chest (items in, out from all sides)
or any other ideas?

My thoughts...
As barrels can't be moved the greater the flexibility on placing in/out pipes the better.
I do agree with a previous poster that knowing whats in a barrel is important especially if you have 3 types of copper with all of the same textures (Using Sphax and additional textures)

As far as the automation for the barrels, how hard would it be for a config option to either use Top/Bottom or Chestlike
Personally I would prefer chest like from top or bottom but as long as they work with logistics pipes smoothly it either implementation will be good.
