Hmm I threw build 40 of EE back in my mods folder and it doesn't throw that error anymore. Sweet!
It does still fail to detect ICBM Contraptions, though. I guess it won't share some items, oh well. Probably not a big deal and will probably get fixed in a future update.
K I'm done.
One suggestion for the Galacticraft webpage though....make the part about it going into \coremods\ more obvious....I'm thinking big red font. Normally, I read the instructions more carefully. I guess this just didn't feel like a core mod so I didn't even consider it.

Separate CustomDamageSource from UE, since someone isn't updating it in their mod.
Which sounds like something to do with the error I was getting, but that was my own fault for not putting it in the coremods folder. Anyway, looks like GC is gonna get a lot of updates, so I'll be updating every week or so to try and keep up.
So I tried to make a space station. It crashed as soon as I tried to go to it.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
To right the countless wrongs of our day, we shine this light of true redemption, that this place may become as paradise. What a wonderful world such would be..
is there a way to generate leaves in space? Becuase the way it seems to be set up now makes going to space almost too resource expensive! I suggest a sort of portable compressed oxygen container that can be put into the oxygen dispensers along with batteries so leaves won't be needed in space.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
The one who cannot just simply get back up and dust himself off, but must silently ask for a helping hand.
I think this time i had removed every other mod, just incase, made a new map and went straight to orbit.
Tried 168 also, same thing. Then i went back to forge 673 (so i could use optifine), still same. Then i tried editing the config file, worked. Then i tried to see which of the few changes i made did it.
If i have B:"Load Basic Components"=true it works, false and it doesn't. I thought since i was using IC2 i could disable that one (and i thought it was off by default?). I had also disabled the other build recipes:
B:"Enable Basic Components Recipes"=false
B:"Enable Gregtech Recipes"=false
B:"Enable IC2 Recipes"=true
B:"Enable Thermal Expansion Recipes"=false
And it works.
The Basic Components tab is empty in creative though... not that it matters, i didn't really want to use them.
I love the idea, this is by far my favorite mod
Well done! It's the first time I've ever done something like this before, but
here is a little fan art I designed
EDIT: I changed the key under the controls options. However this issue should probably be fixed so there's no conflict of keys on first install.
I've tried build #69 and it was cool and all and seemed to work fine but it seemed very outdated compared to a video I seen that had mars and all (#69 only has the moon). I then tried build #164 and found a "fatal flaw". It says to use E to open the galacticcraft inventory but E only opens the Minecraft inventory. In build #69 it used R which worked fine, why change it? Is there a fix?
Edit: Shortening my post to just ask if anyone else has noticed longer loading times with more recent builds of GC. I've only tested it on my laptop, but for some reason it takes twice as long to load the game with build 177 versus 167.
Update: Build 169 is when it caused the slow loading, for me anyway. The change log says "fixed inventory bug, please test (major code changes)". So, in my testing, my i5-560 laptop with SSD went from 80 second load time to about 180 seconds.
I'm having a very peculiar problem: when I try to place anything, it shows there for a split second, then vanishes.
First, my versions:
MC 1.5.1
Galacticraft 1.5.1-a0.1.34.164
GuiAPI 0.15.5-1.5.1
IDResolver 1.5.1.0
ReiMinimap v3.3_04
I created a brand new world to test Galacticraft in, so I first noticed this trying to place a crafting bench. When it vanishes, the planks I had used to create it go back to being just wood and go back in my inventory. I tried with a sapling, and it vanished off the ground and appeared back in my inventory as well.
I tried going back to Galacticraft-1.5.1-a0.1.33.69, but its inventory screen didn't look the same, and I wasn't sure if that was expected.
Has anyone else seen this, or have troubleshooting recommendations? I'm not getting a crash, so I don't have any pointers from the app on what's going wrong.
I'd also like to know, how come there's a video showing you can use this mod to go to Mars yet with the mod (even latest dev) there is only the moon? I want to go to Mars
I don't know if this is on purpose, but with the latest tekkit, I escaped a mystcraft age in creative by launching a spaceship ang going to the overworld.
I'd also like to know, how come there's a video showing you can use this mod to go to Mars yet with the mod (even latest dev) there is only the moon? I want to go to Mars
Because the person whose video you watched (probably the Yogscast) received a Beta-build which contained a couple more planets. The reason there is no Mars on the current version is because Micdoodle wants to make sure that the Moon is 101% done before he moves onto planets. Micdoodle even has this answered on his FAQ.

Strange. Maybe Calclavia fixed the null-pointer exception.....

Ya, for me too now. Using MCPC+ build 383, which is Forge 676.
