Again thanks for the great comments everyone! I've been having a lot of fun working on this mod and it really means a lot to see the community come out in such full force so fast.
I can't tell if you're acting as if you're the mod creator or if you're apart of the team..
Anyways, my room. (Still moving in.)
-snip-
Nice looking room man!
Lemme just point out that Ekacfeeb12 is legit. He is part of my team, he helps me test, helps out with the community, and we bounce top secret ideas back and forth.
I definitely understand your concerns and I have a few reasons for doing things the way I did. Some of the scaling is related to the models them selves and how some of them are double scaled so I can get smaller "pieces of wood" as it were so I could achieve the look I was going after. It may also be worth pointing out that the way textures are going to be handled in 1.5 is changing quite a lot. I would like to make that work in my favor. After 1.5 is what I may do is see how nice I can get it to look pulling from the default texture pack woods and actually just add it as a config option so that by default it will use my textures but the user may be able to enable texture pack woods.
Noticed some more rendering bugs with the armor stands: gregtech armors and the solar panel helmet from ic2 turn into iron armor as well. Also, the textures of any armors arent being rendered on the inside of the armors? which sounds like a meaningless complaint, but it means if you look closely at many armors they look weird, helmets dont have backs if you look at them up close, chainmail armor looks strangely empty... etc.
By gregtech do you mean the light helmet / lithium pack, and lapotron pack?, or could by chance be meaning the gravitron suit? I haven't used or tested either of these mods yet. But I will see to add support for both or at least the one that doesn't work. Also on the solar helmet, the default IC2 helmet already work, it just looks like iron around the edges cause that's how IC2 made it look, but you can see from the top its the solar. Could you by chance be meaning solar helmets from a solar panel add-on perhaps?, Seems like I read compact solars or advanced solars added fancy solar helmets. I wrote these on my list any of things to add support for. Also, the textures don't render on the inside of the armors, yup, that's the way it is.
For a half a millisecond, I almost scanned past this mod when I first saw it because I thought it said "Biblecraft". Then I almost passed it by because I read it correctly as "Bibliocraft" and I thought- "Well that's some book mod, and I don't care about Minecraft books".
Then, in the most brilliant moment of my Minecraft career to date, I clicked on it anyway. This mod has now transformed the game like no mod has done for us in a long time, probably since Hoverboat when we started putting runways into our bases, and maybe SDK guns. (I still mourn the loss of my Desert Eagle).
It's simply shelves, for the most part, but it's really much more. It's a step closer to actually living in the worlds we create because it is so much more satisfying to SEE loot instead of vanishing it into a chest.
All this has me worried though, because so many modders outgrow Minecraft or burn out. I'm going to have to remind you this is a marathon, not a sprint, because I'm going to NEED this mod to exist for as long as I play Minecraft. (And I'd also like weekly updates with new amazing shelves and bugfixes at least until Starbound or Grim Dawn or Cube World comes out.)
As for right now, I want you to know that because of your mod, my boy is keeping a diary in Minecraft books we've never used for anything but enchanting tables. And he is now asking me to read each entry daily... "Today I was attacked by a zombie. It hurt me but I killed it" So, thanks for that.
But seriously - great job. Keep it up- just don't let all this fame turn you into Biebers.
Notorious, I want to thank you very much. I am appreciative that you took the ten seconds to click and just even look to see what this mod was about. I know people are glad to discover this mod. Like a diamond in the ruff. This mod transformed the game for us as well. I love being able to display things now as well. I am glad to see that you and your son now has a sweet place to store a journal. I too am beginning to write in books more often myself, even writing a few minecraft inspired short stories to fill up my library I have started because of this mod. (I can secretly tell you that you should put any fears aside about this mod dying and not having a lasting lifespan.) I can not play without this mod myself. Big things are coming my friends it just takes some time. This mod did just come out of beta but I'm sure most of the issues people are experiencing will be resolved soon. We can't do this without help from all of you people. We all make up apart of this awesome game, which I'm coming to find is a worldwide community of amazing people. We are privileged to bring this mod to everyone we can. I will no doubt read every single comment on this forum thread. Don't be afraid to post on this thread even if you are having an issue. p.s. We are also addressing some people's texture pack concerns. I would really like to thank the texture pack people for doing what there doing for us and everyone else. Again thanks Everyone!
can you make this compatible with the 32x texture pack bc i love this mod i extremely dislike the default texture pack and love the 32x texture pack so maybe you can contact the person that makes faithful pack and tell them to add mod support for this
Oh wow!! This mod concept is so fantastic! I love any mods that add any sort of decoration or display, etc. So this is like giving me a stack of diamonds and telling me to freely do with them as I please. Thank you so much for this!!

[quote=Kasudain]Well, all major religions have a 'Hell' with flying jellyfish that throw fireballs. Duh.
I have a small idea for perhaps another version of the bookshelf if it is at all possible. What about a bookshelf without the back part of it? What I mean is the front and back would be see through. This would allow us to place different combinations of shelves against different types of blocks for nice combinations. Kind of like how the potion shelves and such have no back paneling so you can see through it.
XtraBlocksEE by MindKrafter, and the Creeper stained glass is textured by me, for my modpack. Other textures used there are based from Painterly Pack, and used Karuberu's Mud Mod bricks (with permission)
A truly Masterpiece, I recommend for everyone, I love simple mods that add simple things for minecraft, like furniture, and this mod is exactly what I need, and it is amazing to have houses filled with furniture! for you!
Also, one little issue i experienced is that Mo' Creatures swords cannot be displayed, is there a way to display it? I wont die because of it, but would be cool to display a Scorpion Sting Sword!
Thanks for the mod!
Nice mod, have been looking for something like this ever since the tool rack mod was abandoned, the armor stand is awesome and a good item to have for keeping the the bat cape at the ready, lol.
This mod looks awesome! For some reason though, it wont work on my minecraft. I put it in the mods folder, deleted META-INF, I dont have any other mods, and I have forge and modloader, but it still wont work! Please help so I can experience this awesomeness!

You didnt say you had an error message so, Is forge installed in the jar? And if you have forge you dont need modloader. Check and make sure forge is installed right.

Can you add support for additional bottle (example: juice from betterfarming, creosote oil bottle from RailCraft)?
I hope that made sense at all. Just a thought
Also, I changed the block IDs of the BiblioCraft objects too. Here's how they go so far. (crossposted this on XtraBlocksEE thread)
Yey! my orginization system is now complete!
Very unique and original! Kudos to you.
where's that stained glass coming from?
