Hey Nuchaz, just a quick suggestion for the tape measure:
I was thinking it would be great if the tape measure had a mode that counted blocks as you walked. For example you would click a block to being measuring, but instead of being silent until you click again like it is now, there would be a counter on screen showing you how many blocks you have traveled since you started measuring.
The default mode is great for measuring something that's already built, but when you're measuring out a space for something brand new being able to see something like a pedometer would be a huge help.
Thanks for the suggestion. I have been wanting to get back around to the tape measure and add something that aids in measuring out new spaces. I think a couple ideas have been suggested including the idea of having something to indicate your starting block when you start measuring. This is definitely something I would like to have as well, so yeah, when I get time to work on the tape, I'll mess with this stuff and see what I can make happen.

Looks like you have a duplicate enchantment ID. You can open the config file located under .minecraft/config/BiblioCraft.cfg and change the reading enchantment ID to a new value.
Nuchaz, I have to say that your mod is one of the best mods I have ever use, it's in my top five of all the mods that I have curently. (33)
I hope you will keep this mod up to date for a long time !
I had a (maybe bad) idea : A typewritter to write directly on the print press chases.
So far this mod is absolutely fantastic! I especially love the armour stands. The concepts are amazing. I only have a little problem with it though, mainly with another mod. The wooden label's recipe conflicts with the Vanilla with sprinkles; Fancy fences, not a big issue but a little annoyance, perhaps a more efficient recipe using 3 slabs instead of 6 but just a thought. Excellent mod though! Keep up the good work!
Hi i just want to ask you if i can use the mod for my mod pack plz say yes it one of my favorit mods and i will do all what you need me to do like links and credits but plz accept
I was wondering what other mods are compatible with this one? Btw I do love this mod, I have been having a blast with it this past week! Also I once logged out and logged back in and the books in my book case vanished. Its only happened once but it was quite a weird thing bug.
Hi Nuchaz! Cool mod btw!
Just wanna report a crash which i have sometimes,(every 2-4 times) after caming back to base using MystCraft portal.. On Bookcase i have some GregTech guides,Ars Magica journals and Vanilla ench. books..

Oddly the error shown in the log is different to the error that flashes up before minecraft goes black. Any help appreciated

@Nuchaz
All I have to say is - Woooooow, on the new 1.3 update.
Been waiting so long for great lamps.
Love it, just love it.
Wish I could place more stuff on the table though
I made a large wall / corner table and only 1 thing is on it....lol
But I do love how you can expand the table in every way.
Great job though
thx

Hi i just want to ask you if i can use the mod for my mod pack plz say yes it one of my favorit mods and i will do all what you need me to do like links and credits but plz accept
Well,I read the copyrights, but didnt understand anything. Can we use BiblioCraft on modpacks?
I've been meaning to update my policy. I've had enough time since initial release to come to solid conclusion on how I feel about mod packs. As long as you have credit to me for BiblioCraft and have a link back to the first page of this forum thread you can have permission to use BiblioCraft in your mod pack(s). I do plan to change the copyright stuff to reflect that soon when I get around to it.
So far this mod is absolutely fantastic! I especially love the armour stands. The concepts are amazing. I only have a little problem with it though, mainly with another mod. Hmmm, interesting. This is the first recipe conflict that has been brought to my attention. I feel like the wood cost is pretty balanced with 6 slabs compared to things such as the vanilla frame. I'll give this some thought, I'm not sure what I want to do about this yet.
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Duplicate enchantment id! at net.minecraft.enchantment.Enchantment.(Enchantment.java:111) at net.mcft.copy.betterstorage.item.EnchantmentBetterStorage.(EnchantmentBetterStorage.java:67) at
Sorry. What prevents him to work?
You have a duplicate enchantment ID, the one from my mod is conflicting with one of the ones from better storage. To fix just open your BiblioCraft config file located: ../.minecraft/config/BiblioCraft.cfg and change the reading enchantment ID to something else.
For some reason my reading glasses don't work can someone here please help me its getting me ed off trying to fix them
Well, since you didn't give us any details, I can only assume your running optifine. The glasses don't work right with optifine because it changes the way text is rendered, nothing I can do about that. If it is something else, we need more details.
I was wondering what other mods are compatible with this one? Btw I do love this mod, I have been having a blast with it this past week! Also I once logged out and logged back in and the books in my book case vanished. Its only happened once but it was quite a weird thing bug.
Hmm, that is quite odd, I hadn't heard of that happening before. There was an instance when I updated to v1.2.x that all the books from earlier versions wouldn't appear on the shelf until you moved a book, but that was because I changed the way I count and render books so we could place them anywhere on the shelf.
If it happens again or you get any kind of error logs, post it here and I can try to figure out what might have happened.
Hi Nuchaz! Cool mod btw! Just wanna report a crash which i have sometimes,(every 2-4 times) after caming back to base using MystCraft portal.. On Bookcase i have some GregTech guides,Ars Magica journals and Vanilla ench. books..
That is the first time I've seen that error. I'm not sure exactly what to make of it off the top of my head. I haven't done any testing with GregTech and very little with Ars Magicia so I can't say if they could be part of the problem or not. I'll have to mess around a bit and see if I can reproduce it. If you come across any other clues, post them and let me know.

Well this error doesn't show anything related to BiblioCraft, that's all xray mod stuff. I just searched and found the xray mod's thread the last post by CJB even said he was aware of this error and was trying to find a fix. So problem is on his end, not mine.
He Nuchaz, i noticed something while playing yesterday and now it's annoying the f out of me everytime i walk past it lol. Any chance of tweaking the textures a little bit?
Also the Thaumonomicon doesn't update while in the desk and you unlock research. You have to take it out and open it for it to update. Not sure if this is fixable by you but i thought i'd let you know anyway.
I'll look into the texture issue. There is a minor complication with that, so I can't promise a fix too soon, but I'll look into it.
The issue with the Thaumanomicon is something I discovered recently as well, I plan to look into fixing that fairly soon after I finish up some other stuffs.
Maybe you should make Wall Clocks, and Phonographs! (If you right click it with a disc it will play it and the disc has a little spinning animation. That would be so cool!
I love the looks of this mod! Between this and Jammy's furniture mod, some much needed blocks have been added to break the monotony of "same old blocks" for building a home. I had some ideas for some gothic elements that i thought would be neat. i.e. gargoyle blocks, coffin, church bell, pile of bones, engrave-able headstones, and wrought iron fence.
I'd really like to see some sort of disc rack for music discs while we're on the topic. They clog up my storage really quickly.
I just make it so disks can be stored in shelves, and throw out the duplicates; but a special storage that can hold more of them would be pretty useful.

There is a rare mythical button called "Search" that likes to answer questions; however, due to its nature, it often blends in with its surroundings so as to remain hidden.
Hi,
I made a mod called Village Taverns, and I'de like to add support for your wonderful Bibliocraft mod. The idea is If my mod detects your mod during world creation, it will substitute your bookshelf for the default one in the taverns.
But to do that, I'de need a way to create an ItemStack( [yourbookshelf], 1 )
Also, it would be fun if I could populate your bookshelf with a few random books from other mods. To do that would require access to some sort of container put function.
Do you have an API or includable class file that would allow me to do these two things?
// I let you down. Sorry

Great job though

I've been meaning to update my policy. I've had enough time since initial release to come to solid conclusion on how I feel about mod packs. As long as you have credit to me for BiblioCraft and have a link back to the first page of this forum thread you can have permission to use BiblioCraft in your mod pack(s). I do plan to change the copyright stuff to reflect that soon when I get around to it.
Hmmm, interesting. This is the first recipe conflict that has been brought to my attention. I feel like the wood cost is pretty balanced with 6 slabs compared to things such as the vanilla frame. I'll give this some thought, I'm not sure what I want to do about this yet.
You have a duplicate enchantment ID, the one from my mod is conflicting with one of the ones from better storage. To fix just open your BiblioCraft config file located: ../.minecraft/config/BiblioCraft.cfg and change the reading enchantment ID to something else.
Well, since you didn't give us any details, I can only assume your running optifine. The glasses don't work right with optifine because it changes the way text is rendered, nothing I can do about that. If it is something else, we need more details.
I'll look into the texture issue. There is a minor complication with that, so I can't promise a fix too soon, but I'll look into it.
The issue with the Thaumanomicon is something I discovered recently as well, I plan to look into fixing that fairly soon after I finish up some other stuffs.
Again. Great work!
I just make it so disks can be stored in shelves, and throw out the duplicates; but a special storage that can hold more of them would be pretty useful.
My five-point rating system: Yay, kay, meh, erm, gleh
