So, is this actually for 1.7.10? I'm not the biggest fan of the second version of the mod, and I was hoping this one was available for the version I use. From the comments to this thread I've seen so far, it's really unclear.

Now look, buddy. I'm an Engineer. That means I solve problems. Not problems like 'what is beauty', because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy. I solve practical problems. Like, how am I going to stop some big, mean mother-hubbard from tearing me a structurally superfluous new behind? The answer: Use a gun. And if that don't work: Use more gun. Like this heavy-caliber, tripod-mounted little ol' number designed by me. Built by me. And you'd best hope, not pointed at you.
I wanna make a map called The Legend of The Minecrafter, and I want to use this mod for it, because the sequel is (In my opinion) very limited. (I'm not saying I hate LegendGear 2, just that I want it to be like Zelda.) I will also give you credit along with the mod name, your player's name and your player head, if giving myself player heads in 1.5 is possible...
give myself tome or staff with nei, i get booted when i try to rt click (cast?) from it:

Somehow incompatible with better dungeons aka chocolatequest? it only hapens with a chocolatequest staff in my player inventory too. if i use either that staff or one of your spells, boom. But they work fine if i drop chocolate staff from inventory, so mebbe i should be asking on that thread actually.
ED-actually never mind eating a FISH with their staff in my inventory crashes me out too.
in all honesty pretty much all i want from this mod to be in 1.7.10 would be the bombs/light rail torches/pick up mobs item/ door and keys/starblocks of super shiny ness and finally items dropping from tall grass. thats all i could hope for with this mod. if i knew how to code i would have coded it my self, with permission of course.

...why do people still post here? This version of the mod is dead...as in, no more updates, no support. Nobody is going to help you. It's done. Go check out Legend Gear 2 if you want updated content.
Usually using Steam/Discord nowadays, mostly actively searching around on curseforge for new mods.
Games on steam are usually Spiral Knights, TF2, SFM, and Paladins nowadays
I occasionally hop on minecraft to see what's new.
Aren't there countless mods that do some kind of door/key thing?
This is one of the more functional key/door functions amongst mods, in which you can build around the lock to create your own door instead of having to resort to prebuilt blocks

Ah. Wouldn't know, never used it. You could make a new thread with a request for that kind of mod
I can't guarantee that I ever would update this mod, but if I ever were to gain the experience necessary to do such, I might be interested. Does the mod author not port to 1.7.10 because it's not possible, or is it out of lack of interest?

I've talked with him over email. He's too busy with other projects and can not actually find the original source for either version of LegendGear anymore.
If yes, may I prompt someone for a download link?
if no, is there a possibility either I or someone else could to port the mod from 1.5.2 to 1.6.4?

No it never did. It went from 1.5.2 to 1.7.10 (a complete re-write so no backporting easily)

Hi. You're looking at the signature of a user that has pretty much quit Minecraft, but I might still be lurking. You can take a look if you want.

I set maxStarwellRetries=0. Haven't actually seen any since. But there should still be starwells somewhere right?
in all honesty pretty much all i want from this mod to be in 1.7.10 would be the bombs/light rail torches/pick up mobs item/ door and keys/starblocks of super shiny ness and finally items dropping from tall grass. thats all i could hope for with this mod. if i knew how to code i would have coded it my self, with permission of course.
...why do people still post here? This version of the mod is dead...as in, no more updates, no support. Nobody is going to help you. It's done. Go check out Legend Gear 2 if you want updated content.
So I'm guessing we aren't getting source code for these lock and key blocks?
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy forever.
Usually using Steam/Discord nowadays, mostly actively searching around on curseforge for new mods.
Games on steam are usually Spiral Knights, TF2, SFM, and Paladins nowadays
I occasionally hop on minecraft to see what's new.
So to confirm, no open source, no LegendGear 2 updates that will have content, and no chance of this ever happening again. Gotcha.

Now look, buddy. I'm an Engineer. That means I solve problems. Not problems like 'what is beauty', because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy. I solve practical problems. Like, how am I going to stop some big, mean mother-hubbard from tearing me a structurally superfluous new behind? The answer: Use a gun. And if that don't work: Use more gun. Like this heavy-caliber, tripod-mounted little ol' number designed by me. Built by me. And you'd best hope, not pointed at you.
I've talked with him over email. He's too busy with other projects and can not actually find the original source for either version of LegendGear anymore.
