Well... this kind of mod already exists (enderchests with Endertanks aka Chicken Bones Enderstorage) but i'm not saying that this mod is a copy but the idea is the same but no one gonna arrest you or anything like that for havin a same idea
The addition of enderbuckets made this mod much more immediately useful. But I agree, not really any reason to reinvent the wheel for enderchests. If there's a different way to do it, maybe.. but I'm reasonably sure cb is working on an update
As for your new updates to increase flow, I prefer both of these
On by default - - > Leave it at its current setting and require a piston to upgrade it. This would be like using the diamond, only a single tank is affected and you get the piston back when the tank is broken.
And absolutely have it be a configurable setting in Options, that way server admins can decide what they want. (If it's even compatible for 1.7 SMP worlds yet).
And I want to give you a huge THANKS for updating your mod to 1.7 so quickly, I am not sure why CB is taking so long to update his mods, considering his are favored by FTB... Now if Only these Chunk Loaded, they would be PERFECT!

You need to install Sheti-Phian Core aswell, the curse forge page has a link to it.

* There may have been a pipe mod before BuildCraft's alphas but I'm unaware of them.

So, bloody awesome mod. I started messing with the Buildcraft alpha and I was getting sick of building whole new installations every time I found a new oil well. Something that I've noticed though, no matter how many times I upgrade the pump on either side of a two tank transfer(between an oil well and my refinery island) the tank on the receiving side can't output fast enough to keep up with the refinery. I've even gone and upped the piston upgrade to 8 and haven't noticed a difference. Am I just using them wrong?
[Edit: My dumbass didn't attach a wooden waterproof extraction pipe to get the tank's contents out at a reasonable rate, now everything is humming away nicely]
Almost forgot, is there an easy way to add a option for the tank to keep it's chunk loaded? Maybe a true/false in the config for people who don't want the chunks with tanks in them to be loaded all the time. I've started leaving a non-powered quarry around my oil wells if they're attached to a tank so I can keep them outputting to the refinery when I'm not around them.

Curse PremiumWith Buildcraft having alpha's out there is now a pipe* mod for 1.8.9, thus a use for EnderTanks**.
So I give you EnderTanks for 1.8.9, you can get it from Curse > http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/endertanks

* There may have been a pipe mod before BuildCraft's alphas but I'm unaware of them.
** I know, I know, EnderTanks is standalone due to the EnderBucket and a pipe mod isn't needed. It was an oversight on my part, I could/should have updated sooner.
So, bloody awesome mod. I started messing with the Buildcraft alpha and I was getting sick of building whole new installations every time I found a new oil well.
Something that I've noticed though, no matter how many times I upgrade the pump on either side of a two tank transfer(between an oil well and my refinery island) the tank on the receiving side can't output fast enough to keep up with the refinery. I've even gone and upped the piston upgrade to 8 and haven't noticed a difference. Am I just using them wrong?[Edit: My dumbass didn't attach a wooden waterproof extraction pipe to get the tank's contents out at a reasonable rate, now everything is humming away nicely]
Almost forgot, is there an easy way to add a option for the tank to keep it's chunk loaded? Maybe a true/false in the config for people who don't want the chunks with tanks in them to be loaded all the time. I've started leaving a non-powered quarry around my oil wells if they're attached to a tank so I can keep them outputting to the refinery when I'm not around them.

There is no chunk loading option, I recommend using FTB Utilities if you don't want to use a quarry.
