Hoping someone can help... I'm trying to protect the area around spawn (a server world, using many mods) by creating a group and then setting permissions for that group and adding everyone into the group. I successfully create a zone, the group, add people to the group, and use the command " /p group mygroupname zone spawnareazonename deny fe.protection.break.* fe.protection.place.* " ... But the user I tested with could still place and break blocks in survival mode. With /p debug on, it seems to indicate that he is in the _ALL_ zone, and in the _OPS_ group. Yet he isn't an op an is definitely in the zone I defined (using the wand to select the region, etc).

Also is it possible to prefix chat with the world someone is in?
Finallly - while I'm asking - is it possible to link nether/end portals with another nether/end world?
I'm using forgeessentials-1.7.10-1.4.3.1021-server and I noticed an oddity.

actually does take me to the nether, just says 'end'

I thought I had seen a config somewhere before that had a list of the default dimensons and their names. If I recall it was accurate (it would have been whatever the default is). But I can't figure out where that was.
I've got a problem that renders the game unplayable. Whenever you mine or do anything that drops items including dropping from the inventory it instantly disappears, destroying the item or block.
I've got no global permissions set and the group permission is: *: true on _SERVER_
I placed a dispenser down and as soon as it dispensed the item the same thing happened, it just disappears.
This bug only seems to plaque the main server world, meaning this isn't happening on the worlds created with Multi-world or mystcraft ages.
Someone might've banned items from staying on the ground in the main server, check your permissions. I don't remember the exact line but it had to do with "Item"
On my own topic,
How do I configure the explosion 'owners'? And on the topic of owners and stuff, can I restrict entities? Like, I want creepers to stay away from my town but not zombies?

I am wondering for instance how I can activate the afterlife feature. Do I have to change something in the settings.cfg?

strange. If I look at a block, there is a sign shown that I am not
allowed to do something, but if I break the block and place it again,
the sign will vanish. To be clear, I set myself to the members group.
EDIT2 : I am wondering if these two commands will only prevent the specific group from having fire destroying things and prevent the fire from speading: fe.protection.fire.destroy=false / fe.protection.fire.spread=false

Hey guys. I'm really sorry to bother you again. The server has been running perfectly for a while now but now it keeps on crashing. I'd really appreciate any help you guys could offer me.
I'd say that the harvesting of some Tropicraft plants is not coded correctly then. (the Coconut specifically)
That's weird though. We harvested coconuts in the overworld before that without any issues and then the server crashed as soon as somebody went into the tropical realm. I'm not sure if the server crashed as he went through the portal or when he broke blocks but I had to delete his player data to get him back into the overworld and stop the server from crashing every time he logged on.
Now the server crashed when somebody used an Ars Magica spell on a Biomes O Plenty tree and it kept crashing until I rolled the server back
to a previous backup.
So is the only solution to disable the player block log? It's quite important.
Hmm, I'm running FE only on the server and FastCraft only on the client. I know that they are incompatible but this wouldn't cause and issue since both aren't on either on the server/client?
I thought Bukkit is dead (no download available for a long long time)
Will there be a Forge version of this available for 1.8.*?

I added the login permission as a global permission and players can register/login but they aren't forced to and no message shows up when they login.
