Me confused again
The version numbering this time: Is 1.4.1.7 older than 1.4.dev23 (for 1.5.2)?
I.e. the changes logs for releases and dev versions doesn't really show the relations
PS. Still get huge lag / long freezes after playing for a while. This started after adding TC. I have a feeling there is a memory leak somewhere. Nothing in logs
I'm using 1.6.2, Forge 804 and latest TConstruct. When I apply the luck modifier to my pick (enough to get the "fortune" enchant (which causes the pick to glow)), my client starts lagging pretty badly and I have no idea why.
Ditto here. It's only with the enchanting glow on TC tools. Normal enchanted tools don't cause the lag. It happens if I'm holding the item or another player is holding the item and I look at them.
before you move on to armor. is it possible, to use aluminum, to make tool parts? thing is, i naturally thought this might be a great material for arrows.
was a little bit disappointed, when i noticed, that i cant cast aluminum arrow heads, or rods. seems to be the only metal, next to gold, that cant be used for tool parts.
i am using the newest dire wolf pack, and have just started with t construct. I've used tinkerers construct in the past so i know what i am doing. or so i thought. However when i went to create my first tool out of iron i couldn't. i was putting iron ingots in the material slot with the iron pick ax head pattern, but no pickaxe head was coming out. help! Anyone know why this is happening.o use the smeltery for all
EDIT: i figured it out. this version requires me to use the smeltery.. teheheheeh... oops.

Reading could help. The first post has all sorts of information that will help you with the mod. Very important information may even be bolded.
Hello everyone. Excellent mod. I have a question, for 1.5.2, which is the newest version of Tinker's Construct? The official 1.4.1.7 release or 1.4.dev.23? I'd assume the dev version is newest but I've tried both with no noticeable differences.
It already Is infinite. Just go Pick up all your Arrows you shot. lol
one reason, why i didnt like the idea to craft custom arrows, and would have preferred vanilla ammunition for customizable bows instead.
think about the situations, when youre normally using a bow instead of a sword. youre using it, if there is an enemy somewhat out of sword range, or in a position that is difficult to reach.
like an anoying skelletton shooting at you from the other side of a ravine, or from behind a pool of running water in a cave.
or against flying opponents in the nether.
but that will also make the arrows, youre firing at them difficult to reach. i dont want to have to worry and run after my valuable arrows, with tons of modifiers invested, and pick them up from the dumbest spots, they might land in, or have them bounce into lava.
on a sidenote, didnt mdiyo say, that he wanted at least allow us to craft and customize arrows in stacks of 64?
4 arrows for a thaumium ingot and constantly having to run after them, when you use them is no fun.
i know he said, it doesnt make much sense, that all the customization is in the bow. because putting quartz on your bow wouldnt make your arrows sharper.
but neither does it makes sense, that you can mine stone with paper, or thats you can smelt most metals, but not gold or aluminum into tool parts, eat a ball of slime without feeling nauseous, or prettying your pickaxe up with an emerald makes it tougher. realism just seems a little overrated in this case.

That is a BRILLIANT idea to have the nausea effect for ten seconds when you eat a gelatinous slimeball!
I am getting a bug where your villager has no texture in the 1.6.2 version, were you aware of this/can anybody confirm it is happening to them.
Confirmed

Also, I've flipped shovel textures for Tinker's Construct and ExtraTiC for a more realistic-looking animation, check here: http://www.minecraft...hovel-textures/
Thanks all!

(this was still in mc 1.5.2 though)
You can try the 1.5.2 download, as 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 mods/versions seem to work together.
If it doesn't work, you're out of luck.

You can if you put the infinity enchantment on your bow.
You might need to cheat though...
