I've been working with this mod in the FTB Unleashed pack and I honestly really enjoy all of the combinations that can be made, and all of the upgrades to be applied. I had a thought though... If this all worked so well on tools, why not move on to armour? I feel like if you had armour parts which could be assembled and then upgrades to be applied, it could open a whole new door for the mod and add a LOT of content. I'm not certain if anybody else would agree, but I felt I ought to share that idea with everyone.
You didn't happen to change to adventure gamemode, did you? I've had that sort of thing happen when flipping between survival and creative in NEI (accidentally stopping on adventure). Worth a check if you switch gamemodes.
I can't make anything out of thaumium. I looked up how, and stencils can't make anything from them in the part builder, with metal or wooden stencils, even after I set that option in the config. I then looked through NEI and found no thaumium parts or tools other than the normal ones. I've got the latest tconstruct, but I have thaumcraft 4, which might be causing this issue. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Thanks Dyre, this was exactly the issue. I didn't even know there was an adventure mode! This is nice because there were some annoying things with multipart blocks also where axes couldn't break wood multipart blocks either.
I was trying out the dry rack with rotten flesh on it, and it never changes to leather. Do I have to set something in the config to allow this change to occur? I have seen Direwolf20's Forgecraft stuff and his seems to switch to leather almost instantly... Am I doing something wrong?

No, the drying is broken for now.
Also, I think Dire is using an older build of the game. It's the newer version that's not working properly.

Your problem would seem to be thaumcraft 4 - as far as I know compatibility hasn't been added to Tinkers yet (however I don't play with the magic mods)
I do know however that it was working with thaumcraft 3.

That is too bad. The world I spawned in is an island, and cows are scarce... There is no shortage of our green zombie friends though. I hope they fix that soon.

The other problem is that rotten flesh now turns into monster jerky instead of leather.
If you have natura then the imps drop imphide which will make leather (2x2 if memory serves me).

Why do people feel the need to post things like this instead of leaving the post for someone that will actually be helpful? if 1.5.2 was not supported there would not be a release for it now would there? and as for telling me to update to 1.6.4, I could tell you to update to 1.7 as well, but then that would be dumb so I wouldn't do that, you as I, can play which ever version we please. if anyone has any actual feedback on the error itself please let me know, thanks in advance.
when I take out Optifine from the MC , everything works perfect.
but as soon as I install Optifine I get the weird pages in NEI as shown in the spoiler.
The page it does it on is where Tinkers Construct is at.
Its happening on [1.6.4] OptiFine HD U C6 I also tried all MC 1.6.4 Optifine versions and they all do the same.
Everything works perfect when there is no Optifine.
But I need Optifine installed because without it, im doing 12-fps,
and with Optifine I get 60-fps. so ya I really need optifine installed.
I just want to bring this up to your attention, so you may work out something with the Optifine people

Whenever I open the part builder, Minecraft crashes 4 out of 4 times.

The OpenGL is turned OFF in the game, just FYI.
