Placing liquids from other mods (also the Tinkers Construct Book we get when we start the game) into the drawbridge slot for camouflage block
Not something super major but was just messing around and decided to try it ;P. Will require a map edit/world edit removal of block from world to be able to log back in.
its not just, that i dont like it. since its taking up so much of the tool, its also causing bad overlay effects with other modifiers. i just thought you might want to know that.
try applying the mossy modifier to a pickaxe for example, and then put other modifiers on top of it. it looks pretty weird. or use a bunch of modifiers, and then apply the mossy. same deal.
If you want to, go into he jar and change the textures. that's hoe I get the job done
Sorry mDiyo, but after trying to compile my own personal modpack I ran into a crash that occurred whenever trying to shoot any of the bows in Tinker's Construct. Not sure if this is a problem with TC or the only other mod I have installed (besides the latest Forge for 1.5.2 of course), MineFantasy (or if it's a problem at all). Anywho, crash report follows:

As far as I'm aware (meaning I've tested this) Shooting any TC bow regardless of arrow (even vanilla ones) results in a crash. Shooting MF bows doesn't. I originally had more mods installed, but after noticing the problem I stripped them away until I found that these two were causing the conflict(?).
I had such a fun time streaming on sunday that I'd like to do it again. 12:00 PDT to 3:00 PDT, the place of streaming is . It is currently 10:00 PDT and I'll probably be making a regular thing out of this.

Hey, I love this mod, mDiyo. One of my favorites to ever exist, but I'm having this little issue with the smeltery. Since it's been released it causes this weird lag whenever I'm around it. Is it because it's a multi-block that can be built upon and is looking for more parts?
And is there anyway to fix it? Haha I've been having a weird issue with Permgem errors lately where any kind of lag could freeze up my game.
He gave the answer to the question. As of the latest version of Tinker's Construct, ingot casts are made by placing an ingot on the casting table and pouring gold/aluminum brass over it. Before the recent version, the pattern table would only make ingot casts from blank casts.
is it possible to make it so that the brass casts can also be used as normal patterns to craft certain tool parts?
since the pattern chest is only so big you'd need 2 of them to hold all wooden patterns and brass casts, so if you could use the casts for smeltery and part builder crafting it'd keep things alot more organized
EDIT: also, small type in "Mighty Smelting" I guess. for alumite is says 5 aluminum, 2 iron and 2 obsidian, but you only need 1 obsidian
You mean the OP that says "Metal parts, including iron, have to be made with metal casts and the Smeltery. Casts are crafted by pouring Aluminum Brass/Gold on a tool part." which I clearly read before making my post? If you had bother to read the post you quoted, you would notice that I mention that I cannot get a *CAST* made. A cast. To make a tool part, because I know the smelter needs to be used in order to generate a cast, and that it can't be crafted on a table, only wood and stone can.
The problem isn't me not reading the OP. It's you not reading the post you are replying to, and coming off like a condescending child.
thats odd. plate casts are crafted the same way as the other ones. it works for me.
the fastest way to stripmine is probably with a cobalt hammer and an ardite part (i used it for the tool rod) to get stonebound 2. then a lot of redstone on the tool.
i recommend crafting a good shovel or excavator along with the hammer.
my cobalt hammer, with a paper plate (probably should have used thaumium, but eh), obsidian plate, ardite rod, has fortune 3, a mining speed of 16 at full durability (12k), with stonebound 2.
and there is still a modifier space left, and the option for another with a nether star.
Yeah, I can't seem to make plate casts for some reason. Everything else works. Does Gold not work to create plate casts?

No, no, you do need 2 obsidian ingots. You only need 1 obsidian block, since as far as the smeltery is concerned obsidian is an ore now.
Is there anyway to get the right click to plant a torch to work if you have your tool as slot 1 and your torches as slot 2? It works for me if I put the tool anywhere else (and have the torches next to it) but not in slot 1 which is what I'm use to.

You need 1 Gold Ore or two ingots to make a cast with gold.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I may or may not play GT. I also might be playing it with TiC. Some Metallurgy and ExtraTiC could be in the mix too. I might have also dropped in some TE as well. Some AE and BC could possibly be on the list. And I maybe- just maybe - there's NEI to assist in short-term memory loss that I may or may not have.
somehow i got "fuel" in the smeltery and i do not know how to get it out. I need the lava "fuel" out because it is below my molten aridite so i cant use the drain to get it out
How are you making the cast, by using a wooden pattern in the casting table or an actual plate made of a different material?
Same way I made the other parts. I use the pattern for plate on the tool forge to make a wood plate, and then I take that wood plate to a casting table, set it on there, and try to pour the ingots over it to form a cast.

You have at least two ingots worth of gold in your smeltery? What happens when you right-click on the faucet, nothing or does material flow out?

Well the Sphax one is not upto date for now so it crashes games that have updaeted tconstruct. just a heads up.
in other news i love the bows.
can i ask what are your plans for the bow modifiers?
if its a secret thats cool too, surprises are nice.
as always thanks for your time and this wonderful mod.
