It would be nice to be able to add stuff like cobalt to the Scenter.targets.cfg
The mineral id is a little odd due to the mod, so when I add the item id of 1475:1 it causes the mod to fail due to the ":" character I am guessing.
Edit: I am using the 1.6.4 version. If this is corrected in the latest MC version I apologize. I didn't think about this until after I posted
Depending on your version of Minecraft you have to install a compatible Scenter mod version. Choose the correct version from the "Release History" section found at the Scenter homepage. For example, for MC 1.7.10 you must choose Scenter 3.2.0!
If you want to add custom blocks to Scenter, please read carefully the instructions given either inside the section "How to Configure Scenter 2.x" or "How to Configure Scenter 3.x", depending on the Scenter version you are using.
However, this is easier for Scenter 3.x, since you only need to add the block NAME to the Scenter3.targets.cfg. Whereas in Scenter 2.x you need to add the block ID, which is not so easy to find out in the first place - normally (but not always) you can find the ID values inside the other mod's configuration file.
If you use Scenter 3.x, you can find out all block NAMES by looking into the Minecraft log file. First start Minecraft and activate Scenter by pressing 'O'. What would I put in the config for it to search for a certain mob spawner in Scenter 3.x?
Scenter can't search the world for tile entities but only for block TYPES.
And since there is only one single mob spawner block type (called "mob_spawner"), Scenter can't distinguish spawners by their "product" (the mob, which a spawner can produce).
tried changing the names around still didnt fix it.
I deleted all of the other ores i tried to put in and just used "Tin" as a tester.
I searches through my Tconstruct file looking for an ore name. I found i think 3 different names for Tin "Ore.Tin" "Tin_Ore" and for some reason the Vein Miner Mod had it listed as "TConstruct:SearedBrick/4" where all of the vanilla ores were listed "Minecraft:iron_ore"
In the end i was not able to add a single ore.

I may have done something wrong...I cant seem to get scenter working with pixelmon. It worked with the old version of scenter by just entering the block id but i cant get the recent version working by entering the block name.

The particles from ores only appear for about 2 seconds every time I enable the scenter. After that, I can't sniff the ores until I enable it again. Could you make it so that the scenter is constantly enabled, so I can walk around the world and sniff the ores out of chance? If that's too OP, maybe it could be a config option.
Could you also make this compatible with the ores from the Underground Biome Constructs mod? I can't seem to get it working in the config file.
All right, I have an odd issue. Currently underground biomes now does an ore overlay onto it's rock. Very neat, but renders the sniffer useless. I've tried looking in the log file but the names are igneous_oreCoal, metamorphic_oreCoal and sedimentary_oreCoal. Yet in game it breaks it down to 8 types of coal ore per those three so 24 different coal ores. I tried putting those three names in but gives me air in the sniffer. I've tried doing /1, /2 etc. after the names but that didn't work either. In game they are called redGranite_oreCoal, rhyolite_oreCoal, etc. Thoughts? Ideas?
I have tried to add 3 ores to the .config list, but when I enable the scenter, all that it gives is tile.air.name... This is what I added to the .config list:
If a block ID has a : in it how do I load it into the loader (Using 1.6.4 with 2.4.0 Scenter) ie: Ferrous Ore is 928:4 for its ID. When i put that in game it gives scenter an error.
Edit: Im dumb re read the instructions. replace : with / in the config.
I am new to mine craft and mods and have installed several mods that i like and they work fine, but I can not figure out how to get this one to work properly. Every time I press "o" it crashes on me.
I have Eggy Goodness, Balkon's Weapons, Twilight Forest, and Emerald mods. Is this not compatible with any of these?

Well, did you installed the mod with the correct version? For example, if you try to run Scenter 3.1.0 on MineCraft 1.7.10, it will crash too.

The mineral id is a little odd due to the mod, so when I add the item id of 1475:1 it causes the mod to fail due to the ":" character I am guessing.
Edit: I am using the 1.6.4 version. If this is corrected in the latest MC version I apologize. I didn't think about this until after I posted.

Curse PremiumDepending on your version of Minecraft you have to install a compatible Scenter mod version. Choose the correct version from the "Release History" section found at the Scenter homepage. For example, for MC 1.7.10 you must choose Scenter 3.2.0!
If you want to add custom blocks to Scenter, please read carefully the instructions given either inside the section "How to Configure Scenter 2.x" or "How to Configure Scenter 3.x", depending on the Scenter version you are using.
However, this is easier for Scenter 3.x, since you only need to add the block NAME to the Scenter3.targets.cfg. Whereas in Scenter 2.x you need to add the block ID, which is not so easy to find out in the first place - normally (but not always) you can find the ID values inside the other mod's configuration file.
If you use Scenter 3.x, you can find out all block NAMES by looking into the Minecraft log file. First start Minecraft and activate Scenter by pressing 'O'. Then navigate your Explorer to your Minecraft-Installation folder and open the file "fml-client-latest.log" inside the "log" subfolder. Then search the file down to the line "[mickkay.scenter.ScenterMod/Scenter]: These blocks are registered:". Below you see all known block NAMES of vanilla Minecraft AND all installed mods.

Curse PremiumScenter can't search the world for tile entities but only for block TYPES.
And since there is only one single mob spawner block type (called "mob_spawner"), Scenter can't distinguish spawners by their "product" (the mob, which a spawner can produce).

Could you also make this compatible with the ores from the Underground Biome Constructs mod? I can't seem to get it working in the config file.
I have tried to add 3 ores to the .config list, but when I enable the scenter, all that it gives is tile.air.name... This is what I added to the .config list:

Well, did you installed the mod with the correct version? For example, if you try to run Scenter 3.1.0 on MineCraft 1.7.10, it will crash too.
I have changed Scenter.cfg as follows:
