Mevans, awesome, awesome work here. My kids really like what you've done so far. One question. With Beta 10 or 11 (I can't remember which) some of the LOTR biomes were generating in the overworld along with BOP, XtraBiomes, BWG4 but with Beta 12 I never see a LOTR biome in the overworld anymore. We really like the massive variety that biomes generating mods give minecraft. Is there any way to make it so that LOTR biomes can generate in the overworld via a config setting or something?
I want to make a hobbit-hole my own home but how do I do this? Can I set it as my home because it will be hard looking around the entire Shire for it... It would be cool if u get Bag-End as your home lol
Get a minimap mod like Reis minimap and put a waypoint there.
Hey, I was wondering if you ever planned on adding songs from the soundtrack into the mod? I watched The Atlantic Craft's let's play of it, in which they added songs at crucial parts for effect, and it added an entirely new level of atmosphere to it. I put together a list of songs from the soundtrack and at what times they would fit in to add the best effect.
Here's most of the soundtrack:
Here's Sauron's Theme:
And Here's the Isengard Theme:
The Following are songs that would be nice tracks for regular exploration and walking around, some of them are exclusive to certain locations:
Concerning Hobbits (only in shire)
The Shadow of the past (First half)
The Black Rider
At the Sign Of the Prancing Pony
Flight to the Ford
The Ring Goes South
The Great River (only in Lothlorien)
The Breaking of the Fellowship
Foundations of stone
The Hornburg
Samwise the Brave
Anduril
The Following are songs that would be fitting during combat or large battles:
The Shadow of the Past (Drop)
The Treason of Isengard
A Knife In The Dark
The Riders of Rohan
The End of all Things
The Following are songs that would add effect when entering a biome for the first time:
Mordor: Isengard Theme (I know it’s meant for Isengard, but it would effectively create an “evil” atmosphere) Gondor: Many Meetings Rohan: The King of the Golden Hall (the violin bit) The Shire: Concerning Hobbits LothLorien: Lothlorien The Dead Marsh: Passage of the Marsh
The Following are some other tracks that could add effect at specific times:
Hiring of Gondor Units: The Bridge of Khazad Dum Hiring of Orcs or Uruk-hai: Isengard theme Hiring of Rohirrim: Ride of the Rohirrim Hiring of Elves: Amon Hen On a Boat: The Grey Havens Dawn in Good-aligned Biomes: The King of the Golden Hall (the violin bit)
With most of these, I'm referring to a specific part of the song, rather than all of it. I suggest you listen to the full song, and you should recognize the same parts I do. I'd appreciate a response, if you can
Actually, I think that only applies to situation when the user makes a profit from using it.
You "think"
We should stay on the safe side and not use the music...

Well, for example, Third Age: Total War uses the music and they have never had any trouble about it. If you were going to get sued by WB, you would have been sued already for using their material in regards to the mod itself.
I'm still trying to figure out what changed between versions 10 and 11 that makes me unable to load minecraft as others have stated in previous pages. Please Mevans!
EDIT:
Okay, did some testing and Minecraft hangs on load when either Ender Storage or Minefactory are installed... i remove those and versions 11 and up load nicely. Something you changed in your code broke compatibility with those mods.
I know you are not obligated to fix it but if you do you'll make a lot of us happy.
Is there anyway to delete the floating ring because I want to move mine to a different location but I can seem to delete or break it like I can other blocks. Any help please???
Well maybe the TATW team bought the license for the music. (I know it is not a standalone game but a mod of medieval II total war, but that doesn't mean they didn't use money as a mod making resource)
Just installed this mod at my mcpc+ server.
So, I found out that there is no mobs in lotr dimension (
just big beatiful world without any mobs(
I'm also running Mo'C , RioV and Twilight forest and many other mods on my server. I think it might be caused by Custom Mob Spawner , but I'm not sure.
Can you make it works with CMS ?

Please and Thank you.
also they don't have a 1.7.2 MCP so how can they have a Minecraft Forge for that version?
I like that idea.

Get a minimap mod like Reis minimap and put a waypoint there.
Rei's minimap has a problem with Dimensions above 10 and above.

Reis was an example, I myself prefer mapwriter because you can teleport to waypoints, and it does work with the latest version.

They Didn't. No modder has that kind of money.
