I know this is old but ACTUALLY Uruk-Hai is a breed of Orc that Sauron had been breeding a long time before Saruman dabbled in Orc breeding. Saruman made his own breed of Uruk-Hai by supposedly crossbreeding Man and Orc (only ever suggested and hinted). Saruman also had Half-Orcs in his army which were actually half man and half orc. Sauron utilized similar Half-Trolls in the siege of Minas Tirith, where he had actually bred trolls with the men of the east. Also, Goblin is just the word Hobbits use for Orc... There's no actual distinction between the two in Tolkien's mythos. Orcs are Goblins and Goblins are Orcs. The films are what set up that precedent as well as the idea that Saruman created Uruk-Hai... FUN FACT Sauron used similar breeding techniques to create Olog-Hai, Trolls resilient to the sun's light and didn't turn to stone when exposed to it. Those are what he used as his battle trolls in the siege of Minas Tirith e.g. the ones who busted through the gate in the film.
