I've wanted to add hobbit doors, but they would end up trapping the hobbits inside or outside their holes because only standard wooden doors can be opened by mobs. Changing this would require editing base classes, which is a very bad thing to do. I'll see though, I may be able to do something, hobbit doors would certainly be a great thing to add.

It should be compatible with all mods as long as 1) those mods are compatible with Forge and 2) any ID conflicts are resolved.

The good/evil thing isn't so much of a choice that you need to make, it's how you play the mod. You could become almost fully evil and then redeem yourself to the good side by doing good things. So because I want the mod to be very free and changeable, I probably won't be including something where you can choose your race.

However: you will be able to get reputation with hobbits, elves, men, etc. and get to know them, trade with them, do quests for them and things like that. I like that idea. And there's nothing stopping you from living in a hobbit hole if you want! Whether or not you leave the hobbits there is up to you...

Thanks for the feedback and ideas, and I hope you enjoy the mod, whenever it gets released. Depending on whether we decide to release a public beta before the mod is complete, that may be quite soon.

and also, do you think you could add a thing where you choose if your a hobbit, dwarf, elf, wizard, etc. as well as choosing if your good or evil? cause it would be fun to be a hobbit and live in a hobbit hole also it would be cool, if you where like a say... hobbit, the hobbits would know you or something like that? (if it where compatible with mine little pony, choosing which race wouldn't affect your player, just how NPCs react to you) just some random ideas :3

p.s ive been looking like a mod for this ever since i went and saw "The Hobbit" and on one server i play on, i made a hobbit hole

p.s.s the mod looks so fun and i cant wait till i can download it
