I've read the Silmarillion, and I love Arda/Lord of the Rings/Middle Earth, you get the idea. I've read all the books several times, always great fun to think about it.
However, given that the powers of creation in all of the Valar/Maiar fade over time, we can probably (probably) safely assume that even Eru has creation limits. I believe the Silmarillion also mentions that Eru creates all the Ainur instantly, and that implies a finite amount. But, you're right, there may or may not be a hard limit on Ainur. We know for a fact that so many Maiar came to Arda that even the Elves, some of whom LIVE in Valinor, haven't named them all. Of course, some Maiar are of the nasty sort, (Sauron, Balrogs, (Ungoliant?)), but some are quite helpful (Olórin [AKA Gandalf]).
This is off topic, but you seem to know things about Lord of the Rings, so...If you've thought about The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies White Council scene (In Dol Guldur), and then Return of the King (the book), you'd possibly realize a connection between Aragorn's (I think) lines about how you must be sterner than steel to take a weapon to a Nazgul, or, at least, to the Witch-King, and how Elrond and Saruman just start massacring Nazgul...
WOW, I think the mod you are looking for is the Doctor Who mod... Honestly this makes no sense at all and would have no use whatsoever in the mod. And also, "The Hobbit" world is the same as "The Lord of the Rings" world or any other that concerns Middle Earth Tolkien's stories. No ofense, but I think you are going WAY out of the road on this...

Is there ever a plan to release this mod in parts? I really really like the brewing system used here and as a complete playset it is great, but if I wanted to play any other kind of minecraft pack I will really miss the decorations and brewing/food this mod offers.
Short version: Would love to add brewing or other stuff from this to a modern setting.
Can anyone think of a way of putting the Hobbit into the LotR mod? I can think of a few ways:
That's like asking a Eragon mod to add Eldest to it or something.
While it is true that the events in Hobbit and LotR are very separate(near 100 years I think), 'adding the Hobbit' is redundant. Both are in the same world with same mechanics, the only real difference being the state of some towns/locations(Most prominat being Erebor and lake-town) and the events that happen.
However, we have no 'main quest/storyline/etc' implanted yet, and we also have no towns/cities/etc yet either.
Because of that, if not for the shire calendar that appears each day we might as well be playing in middle earth before LotR, or during LotR, or during Hobbit, or right after Hobbit, or right before LotR, or the time between LotR and Hobbit, or right before Hobbit, or way before Hobbit....
Basically, this can be seen as a 'Hobbit' mod just as much as it can be seen as a 'LotR' mod, or more precisely, a "Middle Earth" mod.
So until we get things that really say 'hey, this is after the hobbit, and in the LotR timeline' we really can't 'put in Hobbit'.

Well, you could download this mod and add it to the pack, then.... (Drumroll) Just use the parts you want.
I mean, who says you need to be in middle earth to brew? I mean, can't you just make a barrel and put it in your house in the overworld and just not go to middle earth to keep the 'modern' feel alive?

This whole Hobbit vs. Lord of the Rings is very dependent on Mevans' choice. There are some fairly major differences in location status in the 60 years (Exactly 60, in fact) that pass between the (End of, I think) events of the Hobbit and the beginning of the Lord of the Rings series. Also, there is an almost 20 year time stretch between the beginning of Fellowship of the Ring and the time when Frodo sets out to go to Crickhollow. This time shapes the world in which Frodo journeys in, into a world much deadlier than Bilbo's.
The choice of time is something that will come into play when the characters/pre-generated cities, fortresses, etc. comes in. Until then, it barely even matters. But again, you're asking for an entirely separate mod, built into the mod that already takes up lots of Mevans' and the entire design team's time. It won't happen, certain not soon, probably not ever, at least if my assumptions and readings of the situation are correct.
Anyway, after the overly-wordy answer, I'd recommend laying off the whole "Hobbit" idea. Until and unless Mevans mentions it. Because this is titled "The Lord of the Rings Mod", after all. Be weird to implement "The Hobbit" as the main source of location status...
Let's all be proud and thankful of the work Mevans has done and all that he and the other modders have accomplished, rather than asking for more.

Here's a random fact: The time between the end of the Hobbit, not including the last bit in Bagend, to the main part of the Lord of the Rings is exactly 77 years...

Nice. I just rounded it up to twenty (Last time I counted was several months ago...And I thought it was 18 or 19 years, not 17 after the beginning of FotR)
This time gap is part of one of my other problems with The Battle of Five Armies movie, and that's the fact that Thranduil sends Legolas to find a Ranger of whom Thranduil should know nothing, and who is, at this point in time, 10 years old and therefore called only Estel. I believe that Thranduil also comments on how both of Aragorn's parents are dead, while his mother (If I remember right) doesn't die until he's 19, therefore violating the timeline completely.
Anyway, enough sidetrack rants. Thanks for the random fact, Luke.

And remember, always use the Force Great Eagles.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that. Also, one of the aspects that I've noticed dates the mod is the presence of Saruman's Uruk-Hai. This in theory would put the timeline sometime after Gandalf was captured by Saruman, although I'm not exactly sure when he started creating his Uruk-hai.

It is after Gandalf visits him the first-to-last time, I need to read Fellowship again. However, Orcs breed fast and grow up rapidly, so it is entirely possible that Saruman didn't crossbreed Orcs and Men until only, say, 10 years before Frodo sets out, while he has designs on the One Ring from about the time of the Hobbit or earlier.
But yeah, I love pulling apart the new Hobbit movies based on what I know of the books. Also, one of my favorite BotFA scenes: The White Council in Dol Guldur. If you read Return of the King, you'll note that Aragorn talks about how strong you must be (...sterner than steel, if the very shock [were to] not destroy [Merry and Eowyn]) to strike a Nazgul...And Elrond walks in and slices Nazgul left, right, up, down, and sideways. Awesome, yes?

@Allen: The problem is there is SO much stuff in this mod that it lags out the creative inventory tab (mostly all the creature spawners). Additionally it adds the 2 dimensions into memory.
It's just not worth the performance hit if I'm only going to use a specific part.
This is a really good mod. I seriously recommend it
Really???
Where can I find it?

In a hole in the ground there lived a troll. Not a warm, dry, or otherwise comfortable hole, filled with polished furniture: it was a troll hole, and that means discomfort. It had a perfectly jagged entrance, with granite spikes. The entrance opened on to a tube-shaped tunnel like a hall: a very uncomfortable tunnel filled with smoke, with granite walls, and floors strewn with bones, provided with severed heads, and lots and lots of freshly killed travelers - the troll was fond of visitors.

The answer to your question wasn't exactly answered by Indiana, so let me just step right in.
From the Minecraft program itself, it's fairly easy to get the jar file. From there, you can extract the source folder and start coding. It's how I make my mods, anyways.
If you mod minecraft beforehand, you can get the source folder from the modded jar, and therefore access the mod's additions and files.
How would you do this, exactly? Because I've been trying for a while to look at the code for the mod using 7zip or Winrar with eclipse. But every time I manage to get all the files in and view the class files (I can view images and the language files), it says there's no source file.
