After reading the recent facebook post about the wood elven scout armor, I was trying to think of additional ways to make the "scout armors" (i.e. warg fur, ranger, and wood elven scout) have more use in the game. One idea I came up was that while wearing a full set, the player's name and alignment would hidden, similar to what happens while sneaking, but without the slower movement penalty. This would provide incentive to wear these types of armor, while giving at least some stealth abilities. Unfortunately this would only be useful on servers, but it's the only thing I could think of that wouldn't make the armor completely over-powered.
Some kind of fast travel system is definitely planned. Yes, it will probably be Eagles for the good side and Fell Beasts for the bad side.
However I won't be able to just make them fast mounts - there will have to be some kind of 'teleportation' involved. Flying an eagle super-fast across the world would cause far too much lag and would quite probably crash the game. If you want to test this out for yourself, give yourself something like a speed potion x 100 and run across the landscape.
I don't know how it's going to work yet, hopefully that's something that I can figure out with the help of suggestions and advice in the future.
Perhaps you can make them as fast as horses while just flying and then when the specific generation comes you could add a map of middle earth where if you had a mount you could "set course" for a certain biome.

Or perhaps wearing regular armors makes you slower, and the scout armor doesn't have that penalty? There should also be some benefit to wearing Dunland and Rohan armor other than being slightly cheaper.

His sense of duty was no less than yours, I deem. I wonder what his name was, where he came from, and if he really was evil at heart. What lies or threats led him on this long march from home? Would he not rather have stayed there... in peace? War will make corpses of us all. - Captain Faramir
There really needs to be a way to put your soldiers on passive while you move. It is really a nuisance trying to get Uruk Hai out of Rohan and back to a place that i want to raid. Same thing for wargs since they keep dying whenever they seek someone out.

I'm not a big fan of having a movement penalty for armors. I've played other mods that have done this, and frankly, it just gets annoying. I like the speed boost given to the wood-elven scout armors, but I'm just wishing that the light armors would have some sort of effect towards their usual purpose, which is stealth. In regards to the dunland and rohan armor, perhaps they could have a speed boost as well, but I'm not entirely sure about that one.

How about enemies not seeing you at as far a distance?
Horses have their own special way to be tamed and i think wargs should too. Perhaps in a sort of dominance, (e.g. beating them with your fists until they give in to you XD). It should also be harder with the new types of wargs like white wargs. I have not read the books so I would'nt know if they were just naturally friendly to evil people.
I've returned with a suggestion for the Ithillien biome! Now I know this is probably already planned in some shape or form, but it would cool if you could add Forbidden Pools in the Ithillien biomes, and that could be the Ithillien equivalent to Rohan and Gondor's watchtowers.

Congrats on reaching the terrain gen goal! I sure has been a long year... Now that you have reached it, what's next? Quests, one-off structures such as Minas Tirith, or adding more biomes in less known regions? Also, when will 1.7 support be coming?
Minecraft hangs when opening - doesn't crash, but doesn't open either. This only happens with your mod installed - both beta 12 and 13 do it to me. MC1.6.4, Forge 965. Game loads fine without it installed, it's a shame as I am really looking forward to playing it.
I realize this may make it so that quests don't work so just until that or fast travel is added PLEASE make an option to have biomes smaller. There is not even a form of decent travel in the shire so you will be running forever until you find a biome where you might be able to get a horse and even then it may not be a fast horse.
EDIT: Also, fast travel cannot be just eagles and fell beasts as getting them I'm guessing would take 1000 or -1000 alignment and you'd have to go to their respective biomes. I suggested this earlier make a map and have it so that you can travel to a place for a certain sum and make it so that you can bring armies. Otherwise the update is game breaking.

I would imagine he would try to first get all fifty biomes implemented, then add all structures, then add all characters, THEN add quests.

That wouldn't be too bad, although I'm not sure if it's possible to code in. Not being a coder myself, I don't know what is and isn't possible to do.
IE, a good aligned character wearing full orc armor being mistaken as an orc?
I know a little bit of code(Just learning) and I think it might be possible but im not sure as its minecraft
