Just to clarify, Azog IS mentioned in Tolkien's books. But it is not the same Azog that appeared in the Hobbit movie.
Azog WAS SLAIN by Thorin's distant cousin named Dáin in the battle between the orcs and the dwarves at the gates of Khazad-Dûm (Moria), confirmed dead as his head was put on a pike. His son, Bold succeeded him for about 150 years.
I Know (That was what I was afraid of).
I have stated several times one of the main things wrong with the Hobbit Movie(s) is that they don't mention Dain or his timely cutting-off-of-Azog's head...If P.J. wanted a bad guy (Er, orc) to go after the Dwarves, Why did they not just use his son as the main Villain?
My criticizings of the Hobbit movie(s): The Book is better, as it is with the LotR.

I "THINK" the problem lies because this mod adds NEI support, probably TMI is causing some issues. I don't see anything wrong with your setup. i don't know much about oredict crashes sadly. Try starting the game without TMI and see what happens. At least it's some basic troubleshootin'
And yeah the books are WAY better. I saw the movies first and then I had a chance to read the books and WOW I was mindblown. That Epic battle of the ents and the huorns was just badass. Also The ents helped in Helm's Deep as well.
Morph is your option here as Mevans stated he won't.
Quote from LOTRMODWIKI »
If the Morph mod exists, why can't you add race selection?
To reiterate. Race selection is not currently planned in any form. If I added simpler things like model changing I would have hordes of people asking why I couldn't add more advanced race features. And there would still be the problems that player skins are not compatible with, for example, dwarf, hobbit, and elf models. In the far future when Minecraft Forge has developed even further, who knows, but for now and the foreseeable future there will be no race selection.
So I haven't been on the forums in a while, and watching AtlanticCraft's Fellowship series has sparked my interest to come back and investigate this mod again. So I am very curious as to what's in store for the next big update? can I expect stuff like Helm's Deep, Mines Of Moria, and Rivendell to show up soon?
For all you guys who did enjoy my series I will be returning to this mod in the future I was just waiting until there is a slightly more stable build that won't have major updates that would render past worlds useless
For the meantime I am switching to a different modpack if you wish to watch that feel free to head on over to my channel, or just wait until I post here again saying that I am back
Is there any way to disable hostile mobs? (Creepers, Zombies, etc.) I have my own LOTR world and structures and I love using the mod but in order to be hurt by Orcs, and Uruks you can't be in Peaceful, so I have to put it in Easy or Normal, but seeing a creeper or skeleton really throws me off and I was wondering if there is anyway to disable hostile minecraft mobs. I know that when you go into the world Mevans made through the portal, but I don't want to do that since I already have my own world constructed. (I'm willing to use mods as well)
Well, killing an elf would just drop your alignment down a little bit (if you do it early on). Try to kill one that is isolated. After that, kill a lot of baddies to get your alignment up. I've done it.

I've been playing this Mod forever it's my favorite mod thus far. I have a suggestion since the The servants of Sauron (Orcs, Uruk-Hai, Dunlendings, Wargs, Trolls) don't have as much biomes and mobs as the Good guys (Rohirrim, Gondor People, Dwarves, Elves, Wood Elves, Ents, Hobbits, Rangers). I suggest adding a desert like biome since currently there isn't one that is sort of like the one in the third movie in the battle of Pelennor feilds or Rhun (but it is a bit less known but also a desert and original home of Easterlings) and the Biome would be home to Haradrim and Easterlings and you could also add Easterling armor and weapons and Haradrim Bows. It'd be easy to add Haradrim Chieftens because they exist in the movies. It'd be cool to see the desert biome in Red sand instead of the boring old sand of normal MC deserts. They would (obviously) work for the evil team as they did in the movie and provide a nice addition to balance out good and evil. I really hope you read this and add it it, Keep up the Awesome work guys
The one above is a simple vision of Rhun not based on facts or even in a game just a little cinematic but it might inspire some inspiration and it shows off the Easterlings very well

just some links that I think might help
read the FAQ dude, everything that's in Middle-Earth is going to be added at some point. So next time you want to ask if something in Middle-Earth can be added, don't.

But the FAQ usually include something like Gandalf or Legolas etc. I think it would be ridiculous to be able to spawn gandalf because then you could make 4 gandalfs and that just wouldn't work, I'm suggesting mobs and biomes that were creatively thought out because I'm pretty sure nobody touched on the Haradrim and the Easterlings thus far and i'd think they'd make a great addition

That is a fine idea and it will be added at some point soon, however, since Harad and The East are both large realms separate from middle earth with their own biomes, structures, and cultures, they will be added as soon as all of the biomes in Middle Earth are complete and world generation is finished. So, while your ideas are good, think of some peoples in middle earth it self and suggest those.
P.S. The Easterlings are my favorite culture in the whole of Tolkien's world.
His sense of duty was no less than yours, I deem. I wonder what his name was, where he came from, and if he really was evil at heart. What lies or threats led him on this long march from home? Would he not rather have stayed there... in peace? War will make corpses of us all. - Captain Faramir

Gandalf and Legolas have nothing to do with what you were talking about. The FAQ clearly states that if it's in Middle-Earth, it WILL be added eventually.Yes incuding Gandalf and Legolas. Harad was just added anyway.
On another note is the next update going to be ME Terrain Generation? because if so that's freakin awesome.

Don't listen to the other guy, he doesn't know what he's talking about. Suggestions are always accepted. However realms such as Harad and The East are separate multi biome affairs, and thus won't be added until after middle earth terrain generation. But those were some very good suggestions, and you clearly have some level of intelligence, so set your mind to thinking of other ideas that exist within central middle earth, like additions to the existing factions, or new races within middle earth.

You obviously need to reed the FAQ as well, it says don't suggest things that are obviously going to be added. I do know what I'm talkin about, I've been supporting Mevans since before this mod was created.
