looking back at one of the comments asking if you would add a boss on one of the floating islands, I'd like to point out that this is highly similar to the aether's gold dungeon sun god boss. You are likely already aware of this though, as pretty much everybody has hear d of the aether mod at one point or another. I'd just like to say, that as long as what you do is origional, challenging, and gives a decent drop, then I am totally for it!

Some feedback though.
With the ascendant gaunlets, their effects DO work, you just need netherwart in your inventory for the picking up, and you need gun powder in your inventory for the explosion punch, it does say in the effect that it requires those items to use.
The armour DOES inherit previous tier armour effects.
All the armor effects do work, but whether they are glitchy or not is another story.
With the jumping boots you couldnt get working, by double jump I mean you can jump twice, so if you tap space again while your in the air, you will jump. Think of it like those side scroller games in which you can 'double jump'.
Besides that, it was good!
Ill have to address that armor repairing problem.
it would be awesome if there is something like a staff (like wizards have one)!
and if you press left it shots a lightball which lights hostlies on fire (or any mob), don't know if this is possible
and right click holding on a mob for 3/5 seconds (maybe upgradeable...) getting a spawneeg of a mob which would be awesome...
all got those ideas while daves mod review...

sounds awesome.i hope its better than the ender dragon .which it will be. could it have fat stubby legs with a massive crystal in its belly. if possible could you add it so when its at low health the crystal looks cracked

I've made 5 new worlds since I got this mod and explored far and wide to find a floating island, but no luck. is this a glitch, or did I just get unlucky?

How abput empyrium generation?
Thus far if have found non of it.
I assumed it is to be found somewhere within the floating islands. After mining trough 2 islands without finding anything i cut a third into slices but still i couldn't find any of that ore.
Also there are some issues concerning the nether, the game breaks down telling me the world generation is buggy when i try to enter the nether. Might this be due to interaction with some other mods?
Empyrium is found under the havenblooms, so if you cant find any of them, there wont be any empyrium.
And they are quite rare, Ive found islands with 2-3, and some with none, its all luck.

Having heaps of mods would really be tricky for the generation.
Ill see if I can recreate the error, and if not, it must be because of an incompatibility, I doubt that though.

true for any generating mods, but you should probably look into making sure it's compatible with the standard buildcraft/forestry/ic2 ores at the very least, majority of forge users will have those as a base for their builds (ie. FTB pack). and also (I hope) if you're feeling industrious, maybe even make your containers and machines/furnaces compatible with buildcraft piping. from my limited understanding of this you shouldn't have to do anything special for them just to work, but there are little details like auto input/output that would make it go much more smoothly.
also how does the sky island generation work on existing worlds? since my current seed is basically one huge ocean dotted by a string of small islands, with no fresh chunks for thousands of kilometers in any direction, I would really like to be able to try out this build without starting over.

I'm sorry if this is a really dumb question. I've searched for answers. After a miserable failure and about 8 hours of trying to get Aether installed I told my son we need to try a newer mod. I installed the Forge mod and that works fine. I then downloaded this .zip file and just put the entire thing in the mod folder and started the game. When I do it offers me the option to select a mod. When I select Arcane Ascension I get a message:

Do you mean to connect the islands?
That would be hard, considering the islands dont spawn that close together.
They are fairly rare, and only found in ocean biomes.
So as long as you can find an ocean biome easily, there shouldnt be any issues with that mod.

Happens on Nether generation.
Empyrium is found under the havenblooms, so if you cant find any of them, there wont be any empyrium.
And they are quite rare, Ive found islands with 2-3, and some with none, its all luck.
Having heaps of mods would really be tricky for the generation.
Ill see if I can recreate the error, and if not, it must be because of an incompatibility, I doubt that though.

true for any generating mods, but you should probably look into making sure it's compatible with the standard buildcraft/forestry/ic2 ores at the very least, majority of forge users will have those as a base for their builds (ie. FTB pack). and also (I hope) if you're feeling industrious, maybe even make your containers and machines/furnaces compatible with buildcraft piping. from my limited understanding of this you shouldn't have to do anything special for them just to work, but there are little details like auto input/output that would make it go much more smoothly.
also how does the sky island generation work on existing worlds? since my current seed is basically one huge ocean dotted by a string of small islands, with no fresh chunks for thousands of kilometers in any direction, I would really like to be able to try out this build without starting over.
