Found a minor bug, my wooden golem kept disappearing I discovered it was being killed by slipping through the edge of some Xycraft blocks I was using as a walkway so single row with water either side, it was attached to a chest and seemed to slip through the edge only while idling waiting for work, I replaced them with cobblestone and no more mysterious disappearances. Not sure if that is one for you or Soaryn.

You should probably report it in his thread - I'm guessing they have a nonstandard hit-box
Yay, it's finally out! You sure have made some changes, Azanor! One quick question, the crafting table mad of 4 infused stone, how does that work? The thauminomicon says it has something to do with aspects, but I'm not sure how.
Throw the extra aspects you need for some recipes into a nearby crucible.

About the online/offline issue:
There is a hacky way around this, if you want to get your hands dirty with MCP.
Download Minecraft Coder Pack and set it up per the instructions. Then, decompile minecraft.jar -- you don't need minecraft_server.jar or Forge for this.
Then, go into the main source code folder -- Whatever Folder MCP Is In\src\minecraft\net\minecraft\src. Open Session.java with Notepad, Notepad++, etc. Near the very top of the file should be this function:
Save it, go back to your MCP folder, recompile it, reobfuscate it, and then using 7-zip or winRAR, install the class file that is now in the \reobf\minecraft folder into your minecraft.jar file. Now, you will always have the username specified in the file, even when offline.
Oh yeah I also had a straw golem disappear but I think that one may have had something to do with the "the flux has affected the weather" and the titanic crack of thunder I heard shortly before noticing him missing lol
What other mods do you have installed? Anything else that alters movement in some way?
Steps to reproduce the travellers boot bug.
1) install forge 413
2) install thaumcraft 3g. (I install NEI too, but I think that's not the problem)
3) create a world and cheat boots of traveller.
4) create stairs (not ladders) up to 3 or 4 blocks.
5) put the boots and use the stairs a bit.
6) logout the world wearing the boots.
7) loggin the world.
8) use the stairs (you can, at this point).
9) take it off the boots.
10) you can't climb stairs again, until you loggout and loggin again without whearing the boots
Thanks for this. It could explain a lot of the 'omg my research is gone' posts. I'm not quite sure how to fix this however. Hmmm.
Considering that this is just Vanilla Minecraft being unavoidable stupid, theres not much to do besides save manipulation. The same kind of online/offline ID issue happened to the bags in EE2, wherein you can't actually open your bag playing offline as the inventory of each is tied to both ID and color.

I would love to give you info but i really dont know what to say lol
I play on the same name all the time, i play with the same server all the time, same computer, same everything. Its not just me through, its effecting everyone on the server. Umm i really dont know what else to say lol
Awesome mod. Just as good as, if not better than the last two, but if possible, could you make a separate add on that puts the old runes back, or even just the portal rune. The animations on that were awesome and it was really fun to use.
i want to report a bug azanor, the aura in one of my worlds has just disappeared when i put the goggles on there is no aura bar at all; i first noticed this when my wands stopped recharging. It happened when i opened up my world to LAN it still worked fine the wands still recharged and all that, i think it happened after making one of the special wands that do stuff but i can't be sure. I made a new world and the aura is there and all that but i would rather not have to go through all that research again. i was hoping you or someone else could help me and i'll be posting a screenshot as soon as i figure out how <-- n00b
You shouldn't tie the research to the user account but to an item (the Thaumonomicon comes to my mind), this guarantees that the player, no matter what ID he has or from where he logs in, has his research saved.
Yes, but if you loose the item, you loose all the research. The knowledge is in the thaumaturgist (not in a book), he can't forget all by simply loosing a book. The magic book show your own knowledge (it projects your thoughts in a paper). That's why every books (in a lan for example) have the same thing written (for your eyes only)
Its cool that each person has their research, but I really wish there was a way to share research with a friend,
My friend and I always play and work together, sharing resourses and stuff, but Thaumcraft just doesnt let us work together =\ if we both want research we have to dump tons of resources into it. It'd be nice if there was a config setting to set the research to be stored on the book or some other way to share with a friend.
Az i really hope you have an update coming soon that helps us manage flux. This is beautiful but a bit unnerving. http://tinypic.com/r/actpac/6
As a second note i saw people were losing research due to a bug. A comprehensive fix might be to tie research to both the player and the Thaumonomicon. (when you create a Thaumonomicon it automatically has everything you know in it and whenever you look at a Thaumonomicon you learn everything that is in it) This would mean that research would be saved in 2 places and you could recover your progress if your Thaumonomicon is destroyed but also be able to recover your research if your character id data is reset or you switch between on and offline modes. Not sure how this would affect balance on servers with people sharing research but that might be something to fix at a later date if you think its necessary.
IMO, it would be nice to see the 'Purus' aspect added to silver ore/ingots.
Let me just quote from wikipedia here: Cold Iron,
cold iron could be used as a anti wisp weapon, make cold iron by putting some metallum and that freeze aspect and you'll end up with cold iron. cold iron should be used to make a bow/throwing weapon that can be used to kill spirits and wisps.

Truthfully I don't see a problem with your research being saved in the Thaumonomicon, just don't lose the book, ever, treat it as more precious than your diamonds. For some reason I'm already doing that unless I'm doing some TC related things it's sitting nice and safe in a chest, an enderchest when I can be bothered making one (or depending when pre2 of EE is released maybe an alch bag, if they return of course, or possibly if Azanor is planning on bringing back void storage in some form that)
There was a point raised before that it seems wrong to have a book storing the Thaumaturgists knowledge but sometimes gameplay trumps flavor.
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but I'm having problems getting the make a crucible achievement no matter how many cauldrons I turn into crucibles.

Ok will do, thanks.

I'd suggest uploading that to an internet source like imageshack or some other site in order for us to see it.
