(i am using this in direwolf20 just for my vampire levels cos i lost them)
every time i click save i just crash and i go back to the title screen.
the error is "payload may not be larger than 32k"
do you know how to fix??
i am using minecraft version 1.7.10
what version of forge does it use? cos it's likely that you are using a very old forge due to the horrific way in which modpacks are update, ie they aren't or aren't done properly

I've got a similar problem to the guy above - using /nbtedit just crashes the game. I can't see where the crash logs are though. I'm using MC 1.7.10 and Forge 10.13.4.1448.
Is there any sort of continuation of this mod, or an updated version? This is an extremely useful mod, pretty sad to see it's not officially supported past 1.7.2. I don't think NBT code has changed a lot, so it wouldn't be too hard to update to 1.7.10 and 1.8, AFAIK.
Edit: I see the fork above, ayone know if this works well?
The person who make it to 1.8 isn't fully 100% done, it just 50% as some of it are like wrong(e.g.textures) but okay.
1.7.10 is highly recommendation because it 95% done.
1.7.10 - need to improve on texts(must not have same different texts)
1.8 - textures needs to be fixed and other else.
I'm not here to judge. Just saying.
I'm looking forward for improvements!
Results:
1.7.10 - A
1.8 - C+
I think there are a lot who wait for improvements or an update to 1.8.9 but nekpek is inactive for half a year now.. I guess we need a new one who works on that project. Hopefully there'll be one soon! Mapmaking is so much more fun with this.

I really like this mod, it can do a lot, I can't wait to have this on Minecraft 1.8.9
Due to my personality I may seem one or more of the following:

Irritable
Sarcastic (I always mean this when it shows)
I have a 1.8.9 version of this currently embedded in pokecube for debugging purposes (I plan to remove it whenever this is officially updated), if anyone wants to properly release it as NBtedit for 1.8.9, my 1.8.9 port currently located here:
To get the mobs, install the resource pack on the github, or use the Pokécube Mobs mod below.

im gonna test if it works in 1.7.10
Hey you distribution rules say people cannot profit from your mod, but curse give people rewards.
I am looking for an ok to put the mod in Curse modpacks.

Whu its not Updating to 1.8?
my game crashed after using the 1.7.10 version
my forge version:1448
crash report:http://pastebin.com/kYFSDSmx
looks like mob spawn controls 2 is probably doing something weird but since all you said is "it crashes" that's as much as i can say
you're right, sorry to bother you
Well, you see, if you're using 1.7.2 in 1.7.10 there is bound to be problems.
Feel free to try out this one, found in this link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g935gz25ecvbzf2/NBTEdit_1.7.10.jar

So, I'm guessing that the download I gave you didn't work?

Where can i get the 1.7.10 version of this?
Edit1: This is a response of an earlier comment saying its recommended...may or may not have received that statement incorrectly.
The 1.7.10 version kicks me when using /nbtedit on anything in a Multiplayer world. Getting a fatal error. Any solution?

This is a 1.7.10 version that I've been using for a while now, and it works perfectly, and I hope it works perfectly for you as well!

So for anyone looking for a 1.8.9 version i went ahead and ported this.
Here's the link https://github.com/Jay113355/NBTEdit/releases
I also made the "ROOT" tag open by default. Because why the hell was that not a thing
Let me know if there are any problems with it. Have fun.
WOW! THANKS!
