I was surprised and devastated to find the mob entities don't have a scale tag! Was looking forward to spawning giant creepers to deal with troublesome rabble. Absolutely love this mod, being able to customize items easily, making monsters persistent, and being able to fix corrupted items from other mods is phenomenal. As I am running a bukkit based server, I was able to bind the command to an item to make editing living entities pretty easy.
If I had one request it would extending its capabilities to edit players, both online and offline. Inventory, health and the like. Invaluable tool for an admin to have a client-side gui to handle that, instead of loading external tools or trying to edit stuff with clumsy bukkit commands.
Keep up the good work.

Sounds like an item is corrupt - don't hover over it, just clear your inventory.
I have installed forge, but I actually use magic launcher to install it, but it thinks there's "no mods found" and the command isn't there, help? Thanks.
Thanks! And sweet, but how did you get it to work with Bukkit?
There is a new type of server taking the world by storm, called MCPC+. Its a bukkit server with native forge support and the spigot performance upgrades as well. Its absolutely phenomenal and surprisingly low on bugs. No porting necessary for most mods, and I have yet to come across a bukkit plugin that didn't work with it. Been running one for a while and I couldn't go back to a vanilla/forge one, the administration tools available to a bukkit server admin are unmatched.
Currently you can only edit yourself, but I can make it possible to edit other players (only if they are online). Would you guys be interested in that?
Definitely. Not possible to access the player's dat file after they log off from in game? Obviously all of this should be for OP's only.
I can't run NBT, it always comes up with this message:

I'm using the latest Forge Installer and the latest In-Game NBT. It also used to work in 1.6.1, and I tried using the old 1.6.1 Forge + NBT with the new launcher and it didn't work.
I have installed forge, but I actually use magic launcher to install it, but it thinks there's "no mods found" and the command isn't there, help? Thanks.
Same here. It says no mods found and the mod isn't on, If it is on, Then i am putting in the wrong command, But i am pretty sure it is /nbtedit ..And that does not work. I really need this mod. :c
It said the same for me on Magic Launcher, and the mod works fine for me
Not for me. I have the same problems as the others :/. also, I see no installation instructions for Mac. Is it only Windows compatible, or both? Pls tell :3

There's really no installation necessary; just go to ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods and put the mod .zip file in there.
Are you putting it in the external mods section when you press setup? If not that's why it's not working for you put it in your /mods folder in your .minecraft
Putting what in the external mods? Forge or NBTEdit?

Whenever I put the NBT Edit into my Mods folder, Magic Launcher automatically says it's in the External Mods and says "No mods found" Halp me.
I did that, Same result as always. I put in forge normally, And then i clicked OK and exited MagicLauncher, I put NBTEdit in the Mods folder. And again... The same result. I really do not know why this is not working.
So I was wondering: I want to edit AttackTime and HurtTime on some mobs, however they always reset back to zero once you save your edited mob. I noticed that even giving them negative numbers doesn't help much either, in fact negative numbers don't go away on AttackTime. But it has no affect.
Any ideas how to fix this?
also creating a float: AttackTimeF and adding in a value doesn't work either
I am also noticing that trying to delete HealF does nothing, and theres no way to override the number of health on it OR the regular health number, so mobs are capped at their normal health. how can I give things more health now?

anyone know why its so screwy now?
AttackTime and HurtTime track the time since the last attack and last damage so that the game can tell if the mob can attack or take damage again. (Entities can only attack or take damage so often.) To my knowledge, there is currently no way to change the time between taking or doing damage.
I'm not really sure what you were trying to describe in the second half of your post, but changing the health of a mob should be as simple as changing the value in HealF. If that doesn't work you should be able to increase its health with an attribute, or by applying the health boost effect for a very long time.
It would seem that it is not possible to edit a mobs health. When deleting the HealthF from the nbt data, it comes right back when you check the data of the mob. There seems to be no way to neutralize it. The number, or health in the HealthF can only be lowered, not increase passed its base. One used to be able to edit the life of a mob simply by adding numbers to the health section. As it would seem now since these new updates have screwed it all up.
Ahhh!! That's your problem! You have to install forge as a new profile in the new (crappy) Launcher, the easiest way to do it is to download the automatic installer for you (press the installer link) and just run it and it'll install it, then you just have to change your enviroment at the top to forge, like mine is if you look
We're almost to the bottom of this problem, But it's not over yet. How do i run it? Do i run the file itself with java? :/ Here is the file i got.
If I had one request it would extending its capabilities to edit players, both online and offline. Inventory, health and the like. Invaluable tool for an admin to have a client-side gui to handle that, instead of loading external tools or trying to edit stuff with clumsy bukkit commands.
Keep up the good work.

Sounds like you didn't install the mod/Forge correctly or you didn't launch minecraft with the Forge profile.
Thanks! And sweet, but how did you get it to work with Bukkit?
Currently you can only edit yourself, but I can make it possible to edit other players (only if they are online). Would you guys be interested in that?
Sounds like an item is corrupt - don't hover over it, just clear your inventory.
Definitely. Not possible to access the player's dat file after they log off from in game? Obviously all of this should be for OP's only.

I'm using the latest Forge Installer and the latest In-Game NBT. It also used to work in 1.6.1, and I tried using the old 1.6.1 Forge + NBT with the new launcher and it didn't work.
Same here. It says no mods found and the mod isn't on, If it is on, Then i am putting in the wrong command, But i am pretty sure it is /nbtedit ..And that does not work. I really need this mod. :c
Well, Not for me. And it seems i am not the only one. :/
There's really no installation necessary; just go to ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods and put the mod .zip file in there.
Putting what in the external mods? Forge or NBTEdit?
I did that, Same result as always. I put in forge normally, And then i clicked OK and exited MagicLauncher, I put NBTEdit in the Mods folder. And again... The same result. I really do not know why this is not working.
Where is your forge? Is it also in external mods? Here is mine.
We're almost to the bottom of this problem, But it's not over yet. How do i run it? Do i run the file itself with java? :/ Here is the file i got.
The file that you see in the picture is the file i got from the website when i clicked *Installer* ...It's just that file...
